  • Where the Heck are the altos?! Very pitchy wrong notes. It was all wrong .

  • Pretty good, but that tenor.... come one.... razor sharp....

  • we sang this song for my choir back in '02... i LOVE this song. it's beautiful.

  • Altos! The soprano is taking the glory! Kick it up a notch! For Altos everywhere!

  • Beautiful but I can't get over the pitch problems. It just seems like everyone is flat..

  • changed key a couple times...and just too heavy for me personally...

  • Altos? Hello? "Touch in me" entrance?

  • Beautiful...gave me chills especially the first soprano

  • Tone quality was amazing

  • Love the space. Agree the piece should be done with more energy. Blend not the best I've heard.

  • The acoustics were horrible.

  • Beautifull setting for this song! :) Love the sound the room gives the piece...very well sung! (especially for such a small group) Overall the group is a little bright (aka lift the soft pallet a little more) but still very beautifull! :)

  • OH. MY. GOD. that's all I can say. so beautiful.

  • i sang this song for my all-state honor choir in 2001. we only used the piano for rehearsal and then sang it acapella for the acutal concert. the pianist did give us our starting pitches though. i <3 this song!

  • Hmm.. Good job, but there was a couple of times I cringed when it got a little flat..

  • @iGookin You also have to remember they're doing this acapella... so there is some difficulty to sing without a tuned piano there.

  • @AishiteruUchiha Well this song is all acapella..

  • @iGookin Not really, My high school has this with a piano optional :3

  • @AishiteruUchiha Oh really? Our piece said the piano is just for rehearsal.

  • @iGookin Thats what ours says too.

  • @ubunturulestheworld so that means the song should be sung unaccompanied.

  • @iGookin Probably yeah.

  • the chords for wraps me in song make me tear up

  • Wow, i wanted that last chord to go on forever....

  • I sang in this my mixed high school choir, but I love it pared down like this without too many x-factors. The only thing is that one of the sopranos has a different tone quality than the other vocalists, so it blends in a different way. Lovely rendition!

  • Great! I can't believe there's only one alto to carry the singers out!

    I loved it.

  • damn, get it basses! lol. I love this song, im in a womans choir SSAA, so this really surprised me with the guys, it sounds awesome.

  • Incredible. Great rendition

  • This is a truly wonderful version...but it helps that they were in an acoustical dream church. :) Good job people.

  • The last note was fantastic!!! Beautiful overtones!!!

  • my fave part is the disonance! wow...sends chills down my spine every time:)

  • Really great piece here. Altos did a great job singing that those tricky pitches.

    That last note was fantastic.

  • i pray that the young men in my choir will grow into voice like these men have. GO MEN!

  • Wow what a bomb soprano I wish my choirs sopranos were that good ! Haha I love this song !!!

  • Absolutely wonderful. Without a doubt, this is the best version I've found on Youtube.

  • this gave me tears. Gorgeous, aboslutely gorgeous.

  • that soprano was really really good.

i think the basses could be more intence, but other than that, that was perfect and i love the song! =]

  • This is nice, but in my own opinion, just a tad bit too slow. I do understand the importance of the text, but it's just too slow. Also, I couldn't really hear the Altos on the

    "Touching me" part.

  • @hawkinman18

There is only one alto, that might be why.

  • @narutardsunite13 There are two altos - one of them is a man! He now sings in Rochester Cathedral Choir, England.

  • @milesbanbery

    Oh, my bad.

  • This song is sooo beautiful. Props to the sopranos for not going flat!!!! It was so hard to stay on pitch when my choir sang it. I don't know if we ever did!

  • When my choir sang it our problem was too sharp all the time. I don't know if we ever got on either!

  • First video I found where the sopranos didn't go flat in the first measure! Beautiful! :)

  • Perfect!!!

  • That soprano is AMAZING!

  • i love this song!!! this is probably the best performance of the piece i have ever heard. great job!!!

  • Watch the blending of the voices...I can pick out each voice in group. That's not a good thing...other than that: GOOD JOB!

  • Very beautiful but two women occasionally sang different vowels... Wonderful performance!

  • Exquisite! Excellent balance, beautiful voices, and very good acoustics.

  • wow, this is really good. i love how everything's very well balanced, and how the women are holding their own against the men :)

  • Thank you for posting this was beautiful

  • our women's choir sang this song last year on an italy tour... simply beautiful. it gives me chills to listen to it.

yeah, the sound here is so warm and the harmonies are perfect- amazing. truly =)

  • Dan Gawthrop is an amazing composer. The community chorus I'm in commissioned a work from him a few years ago, and he came up and conducted us. A great experience.

This, however, is still my favorite piece by him, and I love singing it.

Great vocalists here, and great acoustics as well. =D
