Beautifull setting for this song! :) Love the sound the room gives the piece...very well sung! (especially for such a small group) Overall the group is a little bright (aka lift the soft pallet a little more) but still very beautifull! :)
i sang this song for my all-state honor choir in 2001. we only used the piano for rehearsal and then sang it acapella for the acutal concert. the pianist did give us our starting pitches though. i <3 this song!
I sang in this my mixed high school choir, but I love it pared down like this without too many x-factors. The only thing is that one of the sopranos has a different tone quality than the other vocalists, so it blends in a different way. Lovely rendition!

This song is sooo beautiful. Props to the sopranos for not going flat!!!! It was so hard to stay on pitch when my choir sang it. I don't know if we ever did!
Dan Gawthrop is an amazing composer. The community chorus I'm in commissioned a work from him a few years ago, and he came up and conducted us. A great experience.
This, however, is still my favorite piece by him, and I love singing it.
Great vocalists here, and great acoustics as well. =D
Where the Heck are the altos?! Very pitchy wrong notes. It was all wrong .

Love the space. Agree the piece should be done with more energy. Blend not the best I've heard.

Hmm.. Good job, but there was a couple of times I cringed when it got a little flat..
iGookin 1 year ago
@iGookin You also have to remember they're doing this acapella... so there is some difficulty to sing without a tuned piano there.
AishiteruUchiha 1 year ago
@AishiteruUchiha Well this song is all acapella..

@iGookin Not really, My high school has this with a piano optional :3
