This is a nice camera, but if you're going to buy a Canon HD Camcorder, I suggest the HF S10 / S100 / S11. They're far superior to this model and not that much more expensive. Price is dropping due to imminent release of Canon HF S200 / S20 / S21 in April 2010.

@Nik9999999999999 Video is easily transferred to a computer for editing or uploading to the web via a USB cable, or by inserting cards into a compatible reader.

Australia, judging by the accent. And this walk through was clearly intended to sell the camera. While I'm still sure the camera is great, I didn't find this very helpful. I'm trying to decide which camera to get, I'm not looking for a company's praise of its own product.

I've just purchased one of these cameras and must say I'm very impressed with the quality, ease of use and features...It's an awesome camcorder.

really bad green screen work tho, but nice review. i don't necessarily agree with the bundled software being "really great". it's far from that.

the other one, Pixela(?), doesn't even work with macs.

still a little tricky to log/capture (specially for avid FinalCutPro users like me). easiest way I know how is via iMovie. but then there's this whole avchd conversion issue.

I guess there wil come a time when we'll be transferring avchd footage like pros..but for now, it takes a lil gettin used to

Yes. your are able to put on an boomo or a light.. the only problem is that only special canon stuff can be yoused..that what i red somewhere...definetly want to buy this thing..ohw...the guy is weird:P
