A least the boss fights in WoW involved more than using certain moves at the right time. It involves movement, postitioning, kiting, and raid awareness. This may not be a raid where it involves more than a normal sized group of people, but even some regular dungeons in WoW took more than just tank n spank like Utgarde Pinnacle's bosses for example

Aion never was able to run on my computer, I had to use someone elses, I adressed the issue and tried everything and NCsoft has yet to fix the issue.

I loved the graphics and the mechanics and such, but the quests for each side (or both factions) were EXACTLY the same and the area was exactly the same other than they changed the colors. The quests were confusing and sometimes they were not enough to level me out of the area so I had to GRIND some more to get out of there, even the crafts were a GRIND.

The aion pvp system is like the classic Wow rank system. Basically only ppl who are able to play 10 hours a day throughout months will get to the top ranks and stay there.

Just like in the old days of Wow..lol.

And you need to keep one thing in mind about pve content such as raid dungeons.

Bosses have no static loot table...so even if you down a lvl 50 raid boss...chances are pretty big that you wont get anything (!) out of him. They want you to grind that boss 400 tmes till something drops.

OK if you like to play a cartoon then play wow. If you want to play with the big kids play Aion. Most wow players are just slamming all other mmo's cuz they dont want to loose all the years they have into wow. Once they get over that they will play games like Aion. Its the starting over that scares them. They know they will be the nubs and cant stand it. Lots of people just played wow way to much and have like 8 toons to 80. So they resist playing games that are new and just as fun as wow.

lol exactly my thoughts before.. i have 6 lvl80s (all uld25 gears) and as much as 6 lvl60's across 5 different servers,, been playing wow since open beta, so it's getting really dull.

i didnt want to abandon all the time i invested into wow, but my friend finally convinced me to try it and i got hooked right away... maybe i'll try wow once again with Cataclysm.

aion is an amazing game with alot of potential, it's just some apparent issues that needs to be addressed.

Anyway cleric seems alot like my kind of class so far, how are they while leveling? wow holy-priest-ish (as in it takes 10x the time of say.. an assassin/rogue class)? appreciate any info. And as someone else posted just before me here, do you have anything showing the "endgame" pve like raids etc? which is the one factor thats most important to me as i dont like pvp that much!

All chars from CB (closed beta) and OB (open beta) will be deleted however in Europe you'll be able to attend the head start if you preorder. In otherwords preorder and you can start on you real char the 22nd instead of on the 25th

more than likely a cleric. Chanters tend to use staves because they focus more on debuffing the target with some secondary heals then the main heal spammer.

there are normal raids, and there are PvPE raids, where you have to fight over fortresses, artifacts and such with both players and Balur.
