They're success has nothing to do with the opinions of people on the internet. Nor does it determine taste. When I was 21 I was in metal & punk rock bands, none of which went after a bubble gum boy band sound; which this is.

I would suggest that you look into the rough trade post punk compilation, any Magazine album or even Joy Division to get a firm grasp on what post-punk was & is. This isn't.
