@dimeday4evr Thats good I played it for my former wife! I would like to re-play it now only with a restraining order attached to it! She does not seem to get it! I;m a better man ,but she is getting worse? Rick
In '90, leaving North Dakota, heading back to Georgia, this was my song. Bitter breakup. I drove straight through, only stopping for gas and food. I slept for two days. My brother said I was singing this song in my sleep. Had the family concerned for a while. Some of the times you've just got to walk away...to be a better man.
There is such a feeling of inner peace once you finally release the most beautiful person in the world, knowing that you were causing her so much pain, and that you loved her so much that you let her go. But I think about her everyday, I miss her so much!
ok i love this song and i am a girl............. makes me think of so much things that have happend in over the short life i have lived and loseing my fiance in iraq.
Hands down one of, if not, the best songs ever written by Clint. I've been a huge fan ever since this came out, some 19 years ago. It was Clint, Alan Jackson, and Travis Tritt that really first turned me onto country music when I was in junior high back in '89. Too bad country music doesn't sound like this anymore.
Eh, their good because Clint is a badass, but its alot like a George Strait concert. Hes just standin there with his guitar singin his songs. The great this is though, he sounds exactly like he does on a cd.
They are actually really good. He did an enchore for his performance and played some...oh what's the name of it? Deep Purple music for the heck of it and he took up drums. It wasn't just a promotion of the newest cd either which was nice.
This is a Really great song. This song is another song from Countries Prime. The prime was in the 80's and early 90's. CLint black is one of the ledgends, just like garth brooks.
I agree about time flying by... You're right! It was his first Top 40 country hit, and went to #1. Followed by "Killin' Time" and "Nobody's Home" later the same year, that both also went to #1!!! Clint hit the charts RUNNING!!! haha
Get that ugly bitch off this page youtube......she doesn't listen to Clint.

i love this song, and im a rock music guy. im far from a true country music fan.
clint black's vocals are perfect for his style of music, the same way john lennon or paul mccartney were for their beatles songs.

If he wouldn't have lost his black hat and started singing kid's songs, he would still be great.

One of Clint's best. That warm, smooth voice with that tight band is the stuff classic Country is made of.
Oh, he looks like Roy Rogers long lost son, NOT George Bush (gag). ;)
