I hate seeing shitty sales people, "the kind of spirit I have too".
Fuck off and try to prove that you understand something about the government, nobody wants to see another Sarah Palin type interview with someone who wants to be president.
@Ironbumm well considering that it's a FACT that John Wayne Gacy lived in Waterloo and John Wayne didn't, I think most liberals would consider that a compliment.
@Ironbumm one doesn't have to be a crazy assed liberal to find humor in this lunacy. The democrats are nuts, the republicans are worse. the tea baggers are off the charts.
Her advisors are probably the ones behind all of this...I highly doubt she looked up this information. Come on people...THINK. She wouldn't look up info like this, her advisors would and tell her! Jeesh!
bosshog7169, nobody knows for sure who is gay and who is not unless the person in question acknowledges it to be the case. This accusation can be found on various websites, but it would appear that people who make the claim are furious with some of the remarks attributed to Mr. Bachmann and the allegation that his clinic can "cure" being gay through prayer. It is my opinion that it will soon be scientifically established that sexual oreientation is genetic, and this whole issue will disappear!
HAHA Oh man I hope we keep getting great comedy like this out of her now that she bought that media spotligh in Iowat. She clearly blew her load on buying all these pointless votes too earyl but shes so entertaining who cares. It costs $30 to vote in the Straw Poll and candidates are allowed to pay people to vote for them. Who cares about this poll and what kind of person would even want to vote in it?
Reasonwillwin, you are "in the closet" in the sense that you have a crush on Michele that you are trying to hide from your family and friends. You cannot fool anybody with your hostile comments. We know you are in love with her and that you are profoundly jealous of her husband. Do not get a migraine over it. True love will find you someday!
tishhead, I most definitely do not have a therapist. I receive my therapy from listening to Michele's speeches and watching her on television when she is being interviewed. If I ever get to be a guest on Oprah Winfrey's network, I will jump up and down on her couch whenever Michele's name is mentioned.
@Tennessee3501 Wonderful! I always like to laugh at morons like you who support uneducated, clueless, bigots and religious nuts such as Michele Bachmann. The retard mixes John Wayne Gacy with John Wayne the actor, she publicly denies evolution (Which shows her uneducation), she reinvents history (Founding fathers against slavery? Bwahaha yeah right) and she supports her bigoted christian nutcase of a husband (who clearly is a closeted homosexual) because that's what the bible says she has to do
tishhead, which Republican said that unmarried woman living with their boyfriends should not be allowed to teach school? Republicans do believe that an unmarried woman who teaches school should not be allowed to live with her students (unless, of course, she is good looking and I am the student), but you should stop tyying to stereotype all Republicans. As for Michele, she can come to my home to examine my tax returns any time. She can review them by candle light between sips of wine!
@Tennessee3501 sen. jim demint. he also said gays shouldn't be allowed to teach. funny, half of the repubs are pushing fear of sharia law and the other half are promoting sharia law. as for your attraction to bachmann, that's between you and your therapist. she might be interested in a heterosexual for her next marriage, though.
heteroglossiamerica. since you say that you are a liberal who supports the gay agenda, I will promise you that if Michele Bachmann says anything offensive about the gay community, I will remove her shoes, examine them and then take her accross my knee and give her a good spanking. If she has two left footed shoes, I will contact the Tea Party and inform them that she is soft on Communism!
heteroglossiamerica. it sounds as though you have a wonderful sense of humor and and a "foot fetish". Is it really true that the first thing women notice about men are their shoes? No wonder poor Hucklberry Finn and Tom Sawyer did not have sex in any of the Mark Twain classics Both were always barefoot.
So who cares whether John Wayne is from Waterloo or not? The question is where does she stand on the issues? Is she a flip flopper like Obama and Romney are? She definitely has more balls than Obama and the rest of the Republican candidates combined!
There is also a really, really well know case of a guy who was arrested in Waterloo for having sex with livestock. I mean, if you are from Waterloo, then you know about students at Hawkeye Community College finding this guy naked with the tied up sheep. I think she might also have the same kind of spirit as Robert A. Broderson, the guy who abused that ewe. Especially if she likes too wear blue nightgowns, since that is what they found to the abused animal.
XdisXesXwhyXimXhaawtx, the Taliban is terrified that Congresswoman Bachmann will win. Being defeated by a woman is something they could never tolerate. They killed Mrs. Bhutto for daring to want to be President of Pakistan.
XdisXesXwhyXimXhaawtx, it would be so much easier if you shortened you user name. To answer your question, however, I am not joking! The Taliban and liberals have the same goals. Big government, no individual freedom, especially for women, keep people poor and dependent on government handouts, dress people in rags, go barefoot (meaning no shoes to keep people in their homes), smoke dope and forece the United States to abandon our commitments in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Israel.
@Tennessee3501 Well, I'm liberal, and I have to say it: you're right. Unshod and draped in rags = my vision for America. And yet the question remains: how to keep that dream alive while supporting the gay agenda? I mean, they just look FABULOUUUUUUS, and I can't hold it against them!
I'm kidding. I personally find shoes comfortable and stylish. FYI, they're one of the first things that women notice about a man, so neglect them at your peril.
Btw: IN SOVIET AMERICA, ALL SHOES WILL BE LEFT FOOT.
@Tennessee3501 actually, it's the repubs who want to control women's sex and reproductive lives. it was a repub who said unmarried women living with their boyfriends shouldn't be able to teach school. it's the repubs who want to base their laws on religion and indoctrinate children with religion. as for bachmann, i love the fact that you anti-govt people want to elect a former lawyer for the IRS!
Vehement100, it is good that you know "a few respectable republicans." When I lived in New York I was an enrolled member of the New York State Conservative Party. (I am a Republican now only because Tennessee does not have a conservative party). Michele will never abandon the women of Afghanistan and the Middle East to be enslaved and terrorized by the Taliban. Liberals want to "cut and run" and "let them wear berkas."
@Tennessee3501 LOL Please tell me you're joking. That's the funniest thing I've heard all day! She's a moron, and just like you, makes up complete bullshit about democrats.
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is a strong, independent, intelligent, attractive, articulate and accomplished conservative woman. She has it all! She has a loving family, a great education (9 years of higher education, including a Master of Laws Degree from William and Mary), a business and a successful political career! This terrifies the liberals who prefer their women barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. Like the Taliban, some liberals want women to be enslaved and terrorized!
@Tennessee3501 "This terrifies the liberals who prefer their women barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. Like the Taliban, some liberals want women to be enslaved and terrorized!"
WoW, this is 2011 and there are still ppl living under the rock? I know a few respectable republicans, but you're not one of them. Please educate yourself: Sounds like you were reading off of her Wiki page.
Why is it that the only way that anyone can defend Michele Bachmann is by attacking Obama? Wait, because she's a moronic religious zealot, who is no easier to defend than John Wayne Gacy, that's why.
The mere fact that this woman can represent a large segment of the Republican party is a sad reflection of today's Republican party. I am old enough to remember a time when Republicans could be smart and trustworthy. Not any more.
So she got the person right, but the town wrong. Big deal. Shall we start counting the atrocious foibles of the Øbamanation? Or maybe just the countless "uh's."
All these conservatives, on this page at least, all seem to represent the Michele Bachmann line of reasoning. "I can be an expert and know all the facts of a particular subject if I just ponder it for 5 seconds. " You guys going to vote for that John Wayne Gacy spirit?
@theodorichen you should have seen the treatment stephen colbert gave this and the side-by-side photos of bachmann and charles manson with their crazy eyes.
@stompafly no he was not. he was given a family deferment. of course many other men with families served. but our hero the duke didn't want to interrupt his career.
@caligal2010 a little history lesson for the uninformed. the SOUTHERN democrats USED to be the party of segregation. when NORTHERN DEMOCRATS pushed the civil rights bill and johnson signed it, the segregationists all fled to the repub party. the repubs are now the party of confederate flags and secession talk and calling obama a foreigner and a muslim. obama won the non-white southern vote in 08 but lost the southern white vote by 30 pts. what does that tell you?
If she wanted someone who a true spirit and was a real patriot and fought for his country ( he fought in Vietnam and WWII) she should have picked the actor James Stewart. John Wayne was an actor and acting is all he did.
@tishhead Romney blows. He's part of the problem. I hope I won't be forced to vote for that douche. He's just Obama-lite, just like GW Bush. Let's appease everyone. You know what will make our country better, FIXING THIS MESS. Spend the money we have. Make EVERYBODY pay SOMETHING. Cut out ALL of the tax loopholes. Charity should be the only exemption because government should get out of the charity business. Yes some charities are bad but the gov't screws it up on a larger scale.
@tishhead i don't know yet. I do not want another Bush. You know a "Republican" who is just expands gov't even more. Both parties do this. If there was such a thing as a non-politician who would SLASH government I would be for that person. Is Bachmann the closest thing so far? Maybe. Perry? Better.
I am from New York, born and raised. I HAD to move 3 years ago because there was NO WAY I would be able to buy a home or attempt to get ahead in that state. It was ALL about the TAXES there.
@tishhead Nobody thought, hey do we actually NEED to spend like this. Now moved to Texas (along with half the country it seems), have a great job and just bought my first home 3 months ago and last weekend bought my first new car. Something is different here!!!
@t2snips good for you, but texas is not a model i want to follow. wages well below national average, a horrific level of uninsured and a huge budget deficit that was partially closed only with the help of the evil obama stimulus. as a liberal dem, i would love to see either bachmann or perry on the ballot next november. my worries would be eased.
@tishhead The wages are low here because we don't need to make 100,000 just to live a close to normal life. I make 60,000 a year and I own a 5 bedroom, 3.5 acre house, all to myself, 2 cars, and 2 horses with a ranch. I sold my home in CA, a tiny little 3 bd 2 bth house for 800,000.
@tishhead Never said I loved Perry but is there a chance he would shrink government a little? Maybe.Obama will not win sadly NO MATTER who is on the ballot.Obama was not elected but for three reasons:
3. McCain was terrible. All he was was a war hero in a time of war.
2. The thought of CHANGE.We certainly got it but in the direction that helped us?
And the number one reason? It was historic. The end of racism. Those votes will not show up.This is our chance to get it right. No Bush's or McCain's.
@t2snips nice try but uhh...no. obama made progress in every economic area by every statsistical measure. people voted repub in 2010 because it wasn't fast enough. but faced with that and a party that wants to kill medicare and goes against public opinion on virtually every issue, obama will likely win big. even you are waiting for someone else to show up. every repub candidate is fatally flawed. romney would likely put up the best fight but he won't get nominated.
@tishhead What progress has 0bama made? Because all I see is a growing unemployment rate, a horrific healthcare bill, inflation, etc. What did 0bama's trillion dollar "surplus" do exactly?
@caligal2010 look at the job losses in the closing months of the bush admin and compare it to the last 7 months. what was horrific about the healthcare bill? people not being denied coverage for pre-existing conditions? people not losing coverage when they get sick? children being allowed to stay on parents coverage longer? seniors getting help to pay for drugs? ins companies having to spend more money on care? surplus saved a pt off unemployment according to CBO and Moody's Investments,
@tishhead So, you are okay with someone making more than 60,000 a year getting public help? You are okay with the fact that 0bamacare will be more affordable for those without jobs than for someone actually working hard? And God knows what else is in this pathetic bill. Sheesh, no one even read the damned thing before passing it!! You're OKAY with that????
@caligal2010 so you prefer going back to insurers denying coverage of those with pre-existing condition, cancelling people for getting sick, spending unlimited amounts of your premiums on advertising and CEO salaries and children, who are finding it near impossible to get coverage on their own to be kicked off parents plan at 21. you want to take those things away? how about free checkups for seniors? you want to take those away?
@tishhead We do not have the kind of money it would take to fund this massive government overhaul. What part of that do you not get???? We can not keep spending spending and spending. Sheesh, have you not seen the news lately, of what is currently happening in Europe????? Do you want that for America? We need to stop living beyond our means and start reducing the size of gov. drastically. And who do you think will buy our debt once its clear we cant afford to pay them back? America will be dead!
@caligal2010 i assume you were equally outraged when bush turned a surplus into a massive deficit. the CBO, which scores all govt programs, reported that healthcare reform will REDUCE the deficit and that repealing it would ADD to the deficit. i realize those facts are inconvenient for you. there are countries that fit your description -- very low taxation, very low services and investment. they're called third world countries.
@t2snips gdp, job growth, dow jones, to name the big 3. which is prob why romney backtracked on saying he had made things worse. a reporter threw the facts in his face and he claimed he never said it. why do the repubs have inability to remember that things they say are actually on video?
@caligal2010 i'm not saying it. i'm repeating what the official statistics are. the economy contracted in the final months of the bush presidency and the first year of the obama admin (most of which was conducted under bush's final budget). it has grown the last two quarters.
@tishhead Yes gdp went up. Lets re-elect. UNEMPLOYMENT DID NOT! adding 30,000 jobs CANNOT logically lower the rate half a percentage point. The Dow Jones is BS anyway. I thought the Wall Street traders were evil anyway. Now we trust them? As the Church Lady said,"Isn't that conveeeenient."
@t2snips i made no judgments about whether to trust wall street or what the impact of GDP is. i just said it is a fact that, by every major measure, there has been progress in the past year. is it enough? who gets credit? those things are all debatable, but saying there has been no progress is just factually incorrect. the stimulus saved jobs and the GM bailout did pretty much exactly what it was supposed to despite overheated rhetoric against it. facts is facts.
@caligal2010 when obama took office, we were losing about 700,000 jobs a month. we now have ADDED jobs every month since last fall. everyone talks about what a bad jobs report we had last month. if obama had that "terrible" number of jobs added every month for 2 terms, he would wind up with more than three times the jobs created than bush did.
@tishhead See, the thing is, temporary jobs and gov created jobs don't count. That is not the private sector. That is why, despite this whole claim of 0bama creating jobs, the unemployment rate is at 9.1% and growing. Oh, and also, you never explained to me why Dems were okay with Robert Byrd holding a KKK member card. I never saw any outrage on the liberal media, and most demrats don't even know about it.
@caligal2010 PRIVATE sector jobs have been added. you might not learn that on fox. jobs were bleeding under bush, they are being added slowly under obama. that's why romney had to backtrack. 9.1 is bad. of course at this pt in reagan's first term, it was 10.1. i don't recall the rightys screaming then and he did OK in his re-election, didn't he? every democrat knew about byrd's past. he renounced it. unlike repub leader lott who said the country would have been better with a segregationist pres.
@caligal2010 the unemployment rate depends on a lot of statistical factors. and no one is arguing that it isn't too high. which is a reason why YOU should be asking why the repubs kill jobs bills and job-training bills. they took over congress saying jobs were the no. 1 priority. what exactly have they done in 6 months on jobs? i know they've pushed a lot of abortion bills, but that doesn't seem to be the best way to add jobs.
@tishhead Dont try playing that card lib. Dems had the Super Majority for 2 years and what did they do??? Absolutely nothing, except for pass two trillion+ dollar laws that did more harm than good. So, dont try playing the whole "Its the GOP's fault" game here.
@caligal2010 so like all good rightys, you preach personal responsibility -- for everyone but yourselves. repubs vowed to create jobs, that how they won the house. and they have done NOTHING in 6 months to accomplish that. to give you a little more sorely needed education, the dems did not have a "super majority." if you don't have 60 votes in the senate you don't have control. that's a plain fact. the repubs filibustered everything they could and still obama got a helluva lot done.
@tishhead Lets see, you are pointing fingers at the GOP bc they haven't gotten anything done in 6 months. 0bama has had almost 4 years and he's broken virtually every "change" promise he made during campaign mode in 08. Are you okay with that? And I meant demrats controlled the House, the Senate, AND the White House. GOP controls the House, and nothing else. And even if we came out with a bill, 0bama would never ever agree to it because that would mean stepping across party lines.
@caligal2010 actually, obama passed the stimulus in the first months of his presidency that, according to actual economists and investment services, saved or created between 1 million and 2 million jobs. that's not fox news yahoos. those are the people paid to do these calculations. moody's is not liberal. read what they had to say about the stimulus. again, you need 60 votes to control the senate and the dems didn't have them. what jobs bill has the house passed?
@tishhead Stop the lying lib, 0bama has created nor saved any jobs. And I love how you assume Fox News is biased, since it is not. Fox has BOTH liberals and Conservatives, Republicans AND Democrats. When I get my news, I see both sides. With common sense, something liberals in denial are lacking right now, I see what 0bama is exactly: a politican, and nothing else.
@caligal2010 what a perfect example of a fox viewer. obama didn't create or save jobs, according to you, because...well, because that's what you feel and that's what hannity tells you. the alternative is to go to the facts, to go the professionals who actually track these things (like moodys). and you're wrong. just factually wrong. you guys wail about illegal immigration. guess what? illegal crossings are down and deportations up under obama. doesn't fit your biased view does it?
@tishhead Actually, if you watched Hannity, he reported the deportation thing. And if 0bama is creating so many jobs, how come the Bureau of Labor Stats is showing a 9.7% unemployment rate in August and a net loss of 2.4 million jobs since Obama has signed the stimulus law? Saying that someone saved a bunch of jobs is just so pathetic that I just can't bring myself to ever saying such a lame @ss statement.
@caligal2010 oh, it's so much easier to just sit there and call obama a lame-ass commie. i quoted moody's because they're about the biggest and most respected investment service. but there is a chart showing multiple economists analysis of the stimulus and all said it saved/created jobs and added to GDP. i can't make you think rationally, i can just try to direct you to the resources.
@tishhead And if 0bama's stimulus is adding jobs, how come the messiah said "shovel ready was not so shovel ready"? And then the man had the audacity to laugh about it.
@t2snips I loved to TX, this amazing state, 5 years ago and I will never leave!! I moved from CA. Literally, it was like leaving Hell and coming to Heaven.
@tishhead You said being a racist will get her everywhere to get nominated in the republican party. This means that you believe at least 51% of republicans are racists since that is what it takes to get nominated. Unless you meant that getting nominated in the republican party will get her everywhere, which is the most uncontroversial and obvious statement ever. Either way you are an idiot.
@SMFApples The funniest thing is when idiots like these call the GOP racist when in fact extreme racism runs in the part of jackasses. Once again, liberal hypocrisy.
@SMFApples how many things can you get wrong? first, it doesn't take 51 percent of the vote to get nominated. second, all repubs are not racist but the unapologetic racists are a key element. without them, repubs would have no hope of winning any national election. why do you think obama won a majority of the white vote outside the south but lost the white vote in the south by over 30 pts? repubs seem determined to become an almost all-white party as white population declines. not smart.
@tishhead WOW, you are so wrong on this one pal. Hermain Cain is gaining more and more popularity the more his name gets out there. The TEA Party is full of mixed races, and even I'm not white. I even know some Muslims who identify as Republican because they know the truth, despite msnbc racist attacks on the GOP party.
@caligal2010 you mean herman cain, the so-called constitutional candidate who would violate the constitution by imposing a religious test on office holders? he first said he would never appoint a muslim to any job and later amended that to say they would have to sign a loyalty oath. here's a challenge. watch the rallies for both parties during the campaign. without seeing the candidate, guess which party it is by looking at the crowd. i've been correct 100 percent of the time doing that.
@tishhead I'm going to call you a racist for critizing Cain, just like libs call all Republicans racist for critizing 0bama. And adding to that, I can tell a liberal "rally" because most are violent, organized events full of hate, bigotry, and absolute stupidty. Now, if you don't mind, I'm through talking with you. I've tried my best to at least get you to see some truth, but you are so thick-headed that you refuse. Go back to Bill Maher and 0lbermann and Maddcow and remain ignorant.
@caligal2010 well you hung in longer before conceding on the facts than i thought you would. i assume, by the way, that you endorse cain's religious test. i am curious what you thought of romney's flip-flop. 3 days. that's impressive.
@tishhead Did I ever say I like Romney? That I want him to be the nominee? No, so I expected this from him. I bet you 100% that Romney will not the nomination because true Conservatives do not like him. He has flip flopped way to much on social issues. I never supported Romney, especially after Romneycare. I stand by my decision that I want a true Conservative in office, one with expirence and good economic policies. We can not keep going down this road of endless spending and insane debt.
@caligal2010 music to my ears. i don't think romney has much of a chance against obama, but he absolutely has more chance than any of the rest of them. you watch fox news all the time and you think this is a right-wing country. it isn't. a majority favors gay marriage. a huge majority opposes ryan's kill-medicare bill. a majority favors the public option, which is to the left of what obama did. in many polls, a majority favors even more -- medicare for all.
@tishhead This is a center right country, because it definently is not a left leaning country. Less than 20% of the population identifies themselves as liberal. However, there is an almost dead tie between Republicans and Democrats, thats why Independents matter so much. I bet you the nominee and the winner of the 2012 election will be a true Conservative leader who has not yet formally declared his/her's campaign.
@caligal2010 you need to think a little deeper. whether people identify as liberal isn't the pt. they favor many policies that are, frankly, to the left of obama. they favor gay marriage, they favor public option and single payer health care, they overwhelmingly disapprove of paul ryan's kill-medicare budget and they favor hiking taxes on the rich. whether they use the label liberal doesn't matter. they ARE liberal. look what happened in NY when medicare was on the table.
@tishhead NY is overwhelming liberal. If there are so many liberals, why is 0bama not openly coming out in favor of gay unions? Why he is saying one thing this minute, and another the next? If there are so many libbies, how come gay unions failed in CA? How come msnbc and cnn ratings are in the tank and Fox has never been better? The country tried liberalism and hated it. The policies don't make sense, taxing the rich is NOT the answer, and tax increases and insane spending are not the answer.
@caligal2010 first, approval for gay marriage has risen sharply even in the 2 yrs since calif election. second, the anti-prop 8 ran a poor campaign and the pro-8 were able to generate fear about what would be taught in schools. if the election were held today, there's an excellent chance it would go the other way. people under 40 overwhelmingly approve of gay marriage. it WILL be the law and soon. in prime time, fox and msnbc are both viewed by under 1 percent of the population. yahoo!
@tishhead Oreilly gets about 5 million viewers a night, where's his counterpart at the same time gets about 800,000. Thats my point. If more ppl were liberal, Fox would be falling, and msnbc rising. But that is not the case. And I don't care about gay unions, the whole debate is a way to get the important issues off the table, such as this economy. I'm all for what individual states' rights, and if in the future, each and every state decides gay unions are the way to go, then fine.
@caligal2010 actually o'reilly gets less than 3 million, dwarfed by each of the network news programs and, again, less than 1 percent of people in the country. gay marriage is actually a civil rights issue and should be decided nationally on that basis. but whether it's state by state or nationally, it's ok. maybe i'm wrong but i thought you described gays as fags yesterday and, in the context of posting about "fags" said all dems were immoral.
@tishhead No, the government needs to stay out of issues like gay unions, and abortion, etc. It is for each state to decide. And yes, I call them fags. But again, I am all for each state deciding what their ppl want. I don't want larger government.
@caligal2010 i just reread that post. you're not being very honest are you? you said that if we allow gay marriage, bestiality would be next. so you're not quite as tolerant on the issue as you're presenting now. if i were you and i were accusing other people of having no morals, i'd make a little more effort at being honest.
@tishhead I am not for gay unions, however, again, it should be up to individual states to decide. And yes, if gay unions are allowed, where do we draw the line? Homosexuality is not normal. We are made to reproduce, and proving that is obvious. So, if we allow this abnormal behavior, where do we say no? What if someone loves their dog and wants to marry it? Should that be allowed? Or incest? BUT again, if liberal states want this kind of behavior, then whatever. I'll stay in a state with morals
@caligal2010 what if states wanted to ban inter-racial marriage as they once did? that was considered abnormal. civil rights should not be left to the states. if we are made to reproduce, isn't telling teenagers to abstain abnormal? you could argue that monogamy is abnormal. as for dogs, you do realize the difference is that a dog can't legally consent. i'm curious. if your best friend or family member came out as gay, would you disown them? would you deny them the right to happiness?
@tishhead So you are taking a small population of republicans and using them to represent the whole. That is exactly what racists do. You are no better than a racist. Do you mean the president of the RNC from 2009 to 2011 Michael Steele, who is an African American, means absolutely nothing? Obviously not an all white party. You seem to be confused, maybe you should check all your facts first.
@SMFApples you're just not getting it, are you? i'm not saying most republicans are racists, i'm saying most racists are republicans. they are an essential element to the party. without them, repubs would have no hope. that's why repub politicians who aren't racist are so careful in criticizing outright racism. no, they are not literally 100 percent white, just close to it. look at the numbers of black repubs vs dems in congress in past 30 years. look at audiences of rallies of 2 parties.
@tishhead Yes most black people connect with the democrats. That's because most minorities are poor and democrats are a "socially conscious" party. The republicans don't like welfare or universal health care. Black people want to represent their people some most blacks in office choose to be democrats. Saying that racists are essential to the republican party is like saying blacks are essential to the democratic party. It's comes down to a matter of understanding the history.
@SMFApples wow, stereotypes on parade! about 25 percent of blacks are below the poverty line and i would suspect the percentage among black voters is significantly lower. blacks are indeed essential to the democratic party, as racists are to the repubs. universal heath care is a black issue? actually, it's a common sense issue. the rest of the industrialized world has figured that out and they all spend less of their GDP on health care and get better outcomes.
@tishhead There is a difference between stereotypes and facts. I never said universal healthcare is a black issue, I said it was a poverty issue. The majority of poor people are minorities that's a fact. The problem with universal healthcare is that the USA is not that type of country. We are abolishing the "do it yourself" attitude that drew so many people to this country. People don't want 50% taxes but want healthcare? You have got to be kidding me.
@SMFApples actually, it's about half/half, but whites are clearly the largest single group. the RATES among blacks are higher. what type of country are we? the type willing to squander billions of its money so that private insurers can provide inferior coverage. the type that can fall further and further behind other industrialized countries in outcomes while CEOs take down eight-figure salaries from our premiums. the type that is OK with tens of millions uncoveed and doomed to earlier death.
@tishhead But here's the difference. Blacks believe it is a right to have these things (and yes I am saying black people think they deserve more, I work at a entertainment park and literally only black customers try to boss me around). That is wrong. It is a right to earn these things. There's a huge difference between being given a car and being allowed to buy a car with earned money. There is no way for a system to survive if 50% of people pay into it and 50% reap the benefits.
@tishhead In my personal life I have seen this "better than others" attitude prevalent mostly among black people. Not all black people. There is a black guy at my work who hates other black people for this reason. I do not attribute this to all blacks, I've just noticed its frequency to be greater among blacks.
@SMFApples that's funny because i've notice the tendency to make ill-informed judgments about entire classes of people mostly among conservative people. i do not attribute this to all conservatives, just noticed its frequency is greater.
@SMFApples there are roughly 39 million blacks in this country. what percentage of that do you think you've encountered? not to mention the quite-apparent bias you appear to take to these encounters.
@tishhead It's about the people I have met. I didn't grow up in the ghetto. I've lived in a middle class family all my life until recently. I went to Catholic private school from prek through high school. I now go to a university. I've encountered all types of people of all religions, races, and lifestyles. People represent their religion, race, and lifestyle and having the "survey" of a group of people will resemble the masses. In basic terms a group of people will resemble the larger group.
@SMFApples well, when you say things like "the majority of black people are poor," when the statistics say that isn't even close to being true, you can see my problem. it's a different mindset. but the original discussion about racism and republicans wasn't even about moderately racist people like you, but the outright, "i won't vote for a black man" (and worse) racists. they are overwhelmingly republican and without them, the party couldn't win any elections.
@SMFApples this why the repubs are in deep trouble in the long run. they continue to put an almost all-white face. look at their political rallies. you'll be lucky to see 2 or 3 non-white faces for every 100 people. but the white share of the population and vote continues to shrink. it was 88 percent when reagan was elected and 74 percent last election. it could drop into the 60s next time. and 90-plus percent of blacks vote dem and 65 percent of latinos. time is on the dems side.
@SMFApples Note: I don't hate black people, I just dislike people who think they can sit back and be take care of by others. Get off your ass and take some initiative yourself.
@palinfeets Are you saying that 37 presidents have served for one term? Because that isn't correct. The right number is 29. I can't wait to technically get Bushs' third term, minues the horrific 0bamacare, out of Office. I hope in 2012 we elect someone with a freaking backbone and good economic policies and EXPIRENCE into the White House.
What are you talking about? Same-gender marriages have been happening for years, if not centuries. Therefore it is possible. Thus your position that "marriage equality is impossible" is completely illogical.
@amitbarfs "marriage equality" like "truck equality" or "dog equality" or "ocean equality" or "spleen equality" are all made up and nonsensical meaning lacking intelligible meaning: a nonsensical jumble of words (i.e "marriage equality")
@amitbarfs Wow you ARE a dim bulb there is no such thin as "same gender marriage" that's like saying someone who has a child is a "mother father" they are mutually exclusive as stated above it is impossible for people of the same gender to marry NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU SAY IT IT SIMPLY ISN'T SO
Just because you close your eyes to something doesn't mean it will disappear when you open them. I assume you're American and USA-centric.
When, God willing, all 50 states of USA catches up to the rest of the world and bans discriminatory marriage policies, will you still be all like "no it's not happening because I haven't opened my eyes (and my mind) yet!"
Or maybe you're a really old person (which you kinda sound like, no offense) and won't be around anyway.
Ok, if you want to play semantics, I'll go along. I do desire marriage equality (or let's use your phrase, "homosexual partnerships"), but it also happens to exist (maybe not where you live, but just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's possible). Let's pretend I oppose these partnerships, marriages, whatever you want to call them. That doesn't make them any less possible/real. I oppose SUV ownership and think it should be illegal in most states, yet I know SUVs exist.
I was giving an example of something that came into existence after your Bible was written. SUV, marriage equality, these are both things that came into existence after Jesus was born.
Yes I am over 18, and by "your Bible" (talk about impossibilities!) I am referring to the scriptures that you cite when you are not living in reality.

bosshog7169, nobody knows for sure who is gay and who is not unless the person in question acknowledges it to be the case.

XdisXesXwhyXimXhaawtx, the Taliban is terrified that Congresswoman Bachmann will win. Being defeated by a woman is something they could never tolerate. They killed Mrs. Bhutto for daring to want to be President of Pakistan.
Tennessee3501 7 months ago
XdisXesXwhyXimXhaawtx, it would be so much easier if you shortened you user name. To answer your question, however, I am not joking! The Taliban and liberals have the same goals. Big government, no individual freedom, especially for women, keep people poor and dependent on government handouts, dress people in rags, go barefoot (meaning no shoes to keep people in their homes), smoke dope and forece the United States to abandon our commitments in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Israel.
Tennessee3501 7 months ago
@Tennessee3501 Well, I'm liberal, and I have to say it: you're right. Unshod and draped in rags = my vision for America. And yet the question remains: how to keep that dream alive while supporting the gay agenda? I mean, they just look FABULOUUUUUUS, and I can't hold it against them!
I'm kidding. I personally find shoes comfortable and stylish. FYI, they're one of the first things that women notice about a man, so neglect them at your peril.
Btw: IN SOVIET AMERICA, ALL SHOES WILL BE LEFT FOOT.
heteroglossiamerica 7 months ago
@Tennessee3501 actually, it's the repubs who want to control women's sex and reproductive lives. it was a repub who said unmarried women living with their boyfriends shouldn't be able to teach school. it's the repubs who want to base their laws on religion and indoctrinate children with religion. as for bachmann, i love the fact that you anti-govt people want to elect a former lawyer for the IRS!

It was ALL about the TAXES there.
t2snips 8 months ago
@tishhead Nobody thought, hey do we actually NEED to spend like this. Now moved to Texas (along with half the country it seems), have a great job and just bought my first home 3 months ago and last weekend bought my first new car. Something is different here!!!
t2snips 8 months ago
@t2snips good for you, but texas is not a model i want to follow. wages well below national average, a horrific level of uninsured and a huge budget deficit that was partially closed only with the help of the evil obama stimulus. as a liberal dem, i would love to see either bachmann or perry on the ballot next november. my worries would be eased.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead The wages are low here because we don't need to make 100,000 just to live a close to normal life. I make 60,000 a year and I own a 5 bedroom, 3.5 acre house, all to myself, 2 cars, and 2 horses with a ranch. I sold my home in CA, a tiny little 3 bd 2 bth house for 800,000.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@tishhead Never said I loved Perry but is there a chance he would shrink government a little? Maybe.Obama will not win sadly NO MATTER who is on the ballot.Obama was not elected but for three reasons:
3. McCain was terrible. All he was was a war hero in a time of war.
2. The thought of CHANGE.We certainly got it but in the direction that helped us?
And the number one reason? It was historic. The end of racism. Those votes will not show up.This is our chance to get it right. No Bush's or McCain's.
t2snips 8 months ago
@t2snips nice try but uhh...no. obama made progress in every economic area by every statsistical measure. people voted repub in 2010 because it wasn't fast enough. but faced with that and a party that wants to kill medicare and goes against public opinion on virtually every issue, obama will likely win big. even you are waiting for someone else to show up. every repub candidate is fatally flawed. romney would likely put up the best fight but he won't get nominated.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead What progress has 0bama made? Because all I see is a growing unemployment rate, a horrific healthcare bill, inflation, etc. What did 0bama's trillion dollar "surplus" do exactly?
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 look at the job losses in the closing months of the bush admin and compare it to the last 7 months. what was horrific about the healthcare bill? people not being denied coverage for pre-existing conditions? people not losing coverage when they get sick? children being allowed to stay on parents coverage longer? seniors getting help to pay for drugs? ins companies having to spend more money on care? surplus saved a pt off unemployment according to CBO and Moody's Investments,
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead So, you are okay with someone making more than 60,000 a year getting public help? You are okay with the fact that 0bamacare will be more affordable for those without jobs than for someone actually working hard? And God knows what else is in this pathetic bill. Sheesh, no one even read the damned thing before passing it!! You're OKAY with that????
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 so you prefer going back to insurers denying coverage of those with pre-existing condition, cancelling people for getting sick, spending unlimited amounts of your premiums on advertising and CEO salaries and children, who are finding it near impossible to get coverage on their own to be kicked off parents plan at 21. you want to take those things away? how about free checkups for seniors? you want to take those away?
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead We do not have the kind of money it would take to fund this massive government overhaul. What part of that do you not get???? We can not keep spending spending and spending. caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 i assume you were equally outraged when bush turned a surplus into a massive deficit. the CBO, which scores all govt programs, reported that healthcare reform will REDUCE the deficit and that repealing it would ADD to the deficit. i realize those facts are inconvenient for you. there are countries that fit your description -- very low taxation, very low services and investment. they're called third world countries.

tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead WAIT, are you saying under 0bama there has been growth????
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 i'm not saying it. i'm repeating what the official statistics are. the economy contracted in the final months of the bush presidency and the first year of the obama admin (most of which was conducted under bush's final budget). it has grown the last two quarters.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead Yes gdp went up. Lets re-elect. UNEMPLOYMENT DID NOT! adding 30,000 jobs CANNOT logically lower the rate half a percentage point. The Dow Jones is BS anyway. I thought the Wall Street traders were evil anyway. Now we trust them? As the Church Lady said,"Isn't that conveeeenient."
t2snips 8 months ago
@t2snips i made no judgments about whether to trust wall street or what the impact of GDP is. i just said it is a fact that, by every major measure, there has been progress in the past year. is it enough? who gets credit? those things are all debatable, but saying there has been no progress is just factually incorrect. the stimulus saved jobs and the GM bailout did pretty much exactly what it was supposed to despite overheated rhetoric against it. facts is facts.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead I guess the unemployment rate going up is now considered progress.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 when obama took office, we were losing about 700,000 jobs a month. we now have ADDED jobs every month since last fall. everyone talks about what a bad jobs report we had last month. if obama had that "terrible" number of jobs added every month for 2 terms, he would wind up with more than three times the jobs created than bush did.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead See, the thing is, temporary jobs and gov created jobs don't count. That is not the private sector. That is why, despite this whole claim of 0bama creating jobs, the unemployment rate is at 9.1% and growing. Oh, and also, you never explained to me why Dems were okay with Robert Byrd holding a KKK member card. I never saw any outrage on the liberal media, and most demrats don't even know about it.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 PRIVATE sector jobs have been added. you might not learn that on fox. jobs were bleeding under bush, they are being added slowly under obama. that's why romney had to backtrack. 9.1 is bad. of course at this pt in reagan's first term, it was 10.1. i don't recall the rightys screaming then and he did OK in his re-election, didn't he? every democrat knew about byrd's past. he renounced it. unlike repub leader lott who said the country would have been better with a segregationist pres.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead So thats why he kept the membership card. i see now. And again, if jobs are being added, how come the unemployment rate is going higher?
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 the unemployment rate depends on a lot of statistical factors. and no one is arguing that it isn't too high. which is a reason why YOU should be asking why the repubs kill jobs bills and job-training bills. they took over congress saying jobs were the no. 1 priority. what exactly have they done in 6 months on jobs? i know they've pushed a lot of abortion bills, but that doesn't seem to be the best way to add jobs.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead Dont try playing that card lib. Dems had the Super Majority for 2 years and what did they do??? Absolutely nothing, except for pass two trillion+ dollar laws that did more harm than good. So, dont try playing the whole "Its the GOP's fault" game here.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 so like all good rightys, you preach personal responsibility -- for everyone but yourselves. repubs vowed to create jobs, that how they won the house. and they have done NOTHING in 6 months to accomplish that. to give you a little more sorely needed education, the dems did not have a "super majority." if you don't have 60 votes in the senate you don't have control. that's a plain fact. the repubs filibustered everything they could and still obama got a helluva lot done.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead Lets see, you are pointing fingers at the GOP bc they haven't gotten anything done in 6 months. 0bama has had almost 4 years and he's broken virtually every "change" promise he made during campaign mode in 08. Are you okay with that? And I meant demrats controlled the House, the Senate, AND the White House. GOP controls the House, and nothing else. And even if we came out with a bill, 0bama would never ever agree to it because that would mean stepping across party lines.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 actually, obama passed the stimulus in the first months of his presidency that, according to actual economists and investment services, saved or created between 1 million and 2 million jobs. that's not fox news yahoos. those are the people paid to do these calculations. moody's is not liberal. read what they had to say about the stimulus. again, you need 60 votes to control the senate and the dems didn't have them. what jobs bill has the house passed?
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead Stop the lying lib, 0bama has created nor saved any jobs. And I love how you assume Fox News is biased, since it is not. Fox has BOTH liberals and Conservatives, Republicans AND Democrats. When I get my news, I see both sides. With common sense, something liberals in denial are lacking right now, I see what 0bama is exactly: a politican, and nothing else.
caligal2010 8 months ago

Saying that someone saved a bunch of jobs is just so pathetic that I just can't bring myself to ever saying such a lame @ss statement.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 oh, it's so much easier to just sit there and call obama a lame-ass commie. i quoted moody's because they're about the biggest and most respected investment service. but there is a chart showing multiple economists analysis of the stimulus and all said it saved/created jobs and added to GDP. i can't make you think rationally, i can just try to direct you to the resources.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead And if 0bama's stimulus is adding jobs, how come the messiah said "shovel ready was not so shovel ready"? And then the man had the audacity to laugh about it.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@t2snips I loved to TX, this amazing state, 5 years ago and I will never leave!! I moved from CA. Literally, it was like leaving Hell and coming to Heaven.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@tishhead You said being a racist will get her everywhere to get nominated in the republican party. This means that you believe at least 51% of republicans are racists since that is what it takes to get nominated. Unless you meant that getting nominated in the republican party will get her everywhere, which is the most uncontroversial and obvious statement ever. Either way you are an idiot.
SMFApples 8 months ago
@SMFApples The funniest thing is when idiots like these call the GOP racist when in fact extreme racism runs in the part of jackasses. Once again, liberal hypocrisy.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@SMFApples how many things can you get wrong? first, it doesn't take 51 percent of the vote to get nominated. second, all repubs are not racist but the unapologetic racists are a key element. without them, repubs would have no hope of winning any national election. why do you think obama won a majority of the white vote outside the south but lost the white vote in the south by over 30 pts? repubs seem determined to become an almost all-white party as white population declines. not smart.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead WOW, you are so wrong on this one pal. Hermain Cain is gaining more and more popularity the more his name gets out there. The TEA Party is full of mixed races, and even I'm not white. I even know some Muslims who identify as Republican because they know the truth, despite msnbc racist attacks on the GOP party.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 you mean herman cain, the so-called constitutional candidate who would violate the constitution by imposing a religious test on office holders? he first said he would never appoint a muslim to any job and later amended that to say they would have to sign a loyalty oath. here's a challenge. watch the rallies for both parties during the campaign. without seeing the candidate, guess which party it is by looking at the crowd. i've been correct 100 percent of the time doing that.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead I'm going to call you a racist for critizing Cain, just like libs call all Republicans racist for critizing 0bama. And adding to that, I can tell a liberal "rally" because most are violent, organized events full of hate, bigotry, and absolute stupidty. Now, if you don't mind, I'm through talking with you. I've tried my best to at least get you to see some truth, but you are so thick-headed that you refuse. Go back to Bill Maher and 0lbermann and Maddcow and remain ignorant.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 well you hung in longer before conceding on the facts than i thought you would. i assume, by the way, that you endorse cain's religious test. i am curious what you thought of romney's flip-flop. 3 days. that's impressive.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead Did I ever say I like Romney? That I want him to be the nominee? No, so I expected this from him. I bet you 100% that Romney will not the nomination because true Conservatives do not like him. He has flip flopped way to much on social issues. I never supported Romney, especially after Romneycare. I stand by my decision that I want a true Conservative in office, one with expirence and good economic policies. We can not keep going down this road of endless spending and insane debt.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 music to my ears. i don't think romney has much of a chance against obama, but he absolutely has more chance than any of the rest of them. you watch fox news all the time and you think this is a right-wing country. it isn't. a majority favors gay marriage. a huge majority opposes ryan's kill-medicare bill. a majority favors the public option, which is to the left of what obama did. in many polls, a majority favors even more -- medicare for all.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead This is a center right country, because it definently is not a left leaning country. Less than 20% of the population identifies themselves as liberal. However, there is an almost dead tie between Republicans and Democrats, thats why Independents matter so much. I bet you the nominee and the winner of the 2012 election will be a true Conservative leader who has not yet formally declared his/her's campaign.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 you need to think a little deeper. whether people identify as liberal isn't the pt. they favor many policies that are, frankly, to the left of obama. they favor gay marriage, they favor public option and single payer health care, they overwhelmingly disapprove of paul ryan's kill-medicare budget and they favor hiking taxes on the rich. whether they use the label liberal doesn't matter. they ARE liberal. look what happened in NY when medicare was on the table.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead NY is overwhelming liberal. If there are so many liberals, why is 0bama not openly coming out in favor of gay unions? Why he is saying one thing this minute, and another the next? If there are so many libbies, how come gay unions failed in CA? How come msnbc and cnn ratings are in the tank and Fox has never been better? The country tried liberalism and hated it. The policies don't make sense, taxing the rich is NOT the answer, and tax increases and insane spending are not the answer.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 first, approval for gay marriage has risen sharply even in the 2 yrs since calif election. second, the anti-prop 8 ran a poor campaign and the pro-8 were able to generate fear about what would be taught in schools. if the election were held today, there's an excellent chance it would go the other way. people under 40 overwhelmingly approve of gay marriage. it WILL be the law and soon. in prime time, fox and msnbc are both viewed by under 1 percent of the population. yahoo!
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead Oreilly gets about 5 million viewers a night, where's his counterpart at the same time gets about 800,000. Thats my point. If more ppl were liberal, Fox would be falling, and msnbc rising. But that is not the case. And I don't care about gay unions, the whole debate is a way to get the important issues off the table, such as this economy. I'm all for what individual states' rights, and if in the future, each and every state decides gay unions are the way to go, then fine.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 actually o'reilly gets less than 3 million, dwarfed by each of the network news programs and, again, less than 1 percent of people in the country. gay marriage is actually a civil rights issue and should be decided nationally on that basis. but whether it's state by state or nationally, it's ok. maybe i'm wrong but i thought you described gays as fags yesterday and, in the context of posting about "fags" said all dems were immoral.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead No, the government needs to stay out of issues like gay unions, and abortion, etc. It is for each state to decide. And yes, I call them fags. But again, I am all for each state deciding what their ppl want. I don't want larger government.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 i just reread that post. you're not being very honest are you? you said that if we allow gay marriage, bestiality would be next. so you're not quite as tolerant on the issue as you're presenting now. if i were you and i were accusing other people of having no morals, i'd make a little more effort at being honest.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead I am not for gay unions, however, again, it should be up to individual states to decide. And yes, if gay unions are allowed, where do we draw the line? Homosexuality is not normal. We are made to reproduce, and proving that is obvious. So, if we allow this abnormal behavior, where do we say no? What if someone loves their dog and wants to marry it? Should that be allowed? Or incest? BUT again, if liberal states want this kind of behavior, then whatever. I'll stay in a state with morals
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010 what if states wanted to ban inter-racial marriage as they once did? that was considered abnormal. civil rights should not be left to the states. if we are made to reproduce, isn't telling teenagers to abstain abnormal? you could argue that monogamy is abnormal. as for dogs, you do realize the difference is that a dog can't legally consent. i'm curious. if your best friend or family member came out as gay, would you disown them? would you deny them the right to happiness?
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead So you are taking a small population of republicans and using them to represent the whole. That is exactly what racists do. You are no better than a racist. Do you mean the president of the RNC from 2009 to 2011 Michael Steele, who is an African American, means absolutely nothing? Obviously not an all white party. You seem to be confused, maybe you should check all your facts first.
SMFApples 8 months ago
@SMFApples you're just not getting it, are you? i'm not saying most republicans are racists, i'm saying most racists are republicans. they are an essential element to the party. without them, repubs would have no hope. that's why repub politicians who aren't racist are so careful in criticizing outright racism. no, they are not literally 100 percent white, just close to it. look at the numbers of black repubs vs dems in congress in past 30 years. look at audiences of rallies of 2 parties.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead Yes most black people connect with the democrats. That's because most minorities are poor and democrats are a "socially conscious" party. The republicans don't like welfare or universal health care. Black people want to represent their people some most blacks in office choose to be democrats. Saying that racists are essential to the republican party is like saying blacks are essential to the democratic party. It's comes down to a matter of understanding the history.
SMFApples 8 months ago
@SMFApples wow, stereotypes on parade! about 25 percent of blacks are below the poverty line and i would suspect the percentage among black voters is significantly lower. blacks are indeed essential to the democratic party, as racists are to the repubs. universal heath care is a black issue? actually, it's a common sense issue. the rest of the industrialized world has figured that out and they all spend less of their GDP on health care and get better outcomes.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead There is a difference between stereotypes and facts. I never said universal healthcare is a black issue, I said it was a poverty issue. The majority of poor people are minorities that's a fact. The problem with universal healthcare is that the USA is not that type of country. We are abolishing the "do it yourself" attitude that drew so many people to this country. People don't want 50% taxes but want healthcare? You have got to be kidding me.
SMFApples 8 months ago
@SMFApples actually, it's about half/half, but whites are clearly the largest single group. the RATES among blacks are higher. what type of country are we? the type willing to squander billions of its money so that private insurers can provide inferior coverage. the type that can fall further and further behind other industrialized countries in outcomes while CEOs take down eight-figure salaries from our premiums. the type that is OK with tens of millions uncoveed and doomed to earlier death.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead But here's the difference. Blacks believe it is a right to have these things (and yes I am saying black people think they deserve more, I work at a entertainment park and literally only black customers try to boss me around). That is wrong. It is a right to earn these things. There's a huge difference between being given a car and being allowed to buy a car with earned money. There is no way for a system to survive if 50% of people pay into it and 50% reap the benefits.
SMFApples 8 months ago
@SMFApples well, i'm glad you set me straight and that you don't stereotype. i'd hate to see that.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead some of your best friends are black people? you guys kill me.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead In my personal life I have seen this "better than others" attitude prevalent mostly among black people. Not all black people. There is a black guy at my work who hates other black people for this reason. I do not attribute this to all blacks, I've just noticed its frequency to be greater among blacks.
SMFApples 8 months ago
@SMFApples that's funny because i've notice the tendency to make ill-informed judgments about entire classes of people mostly among conservative people. i do not attribute this to all conservatives, just noticed its frequency is greater.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead I don't how personal experience and first hand witnessing is ill-information.
SMFApples 8 months ago
@SMFApples there are roughly 39 million blacks in this country. what percentage of that do you think you've encountered? not to mention the quite-apparent bias you appear to take to these encounters.
tishhead 8 months ago
@tishhead It's about the people I have met. I didn't grow up in the ghetto. I've lived in a middle class family all my life until recently. I went to Catholic private school from prek through high school. I now go to a university. I've encountered all types of people of all religions, races, and lifestyles. People represent their religion, race, and lifestyle and having the "survey" of a group of people will resemble the masses. In basic terms a group of people will resemble the larger group.
SMFApples 8 months ago
@SMFApples well, when you say things like "the majority of black people are poor," when the statistics say that isn't even close to being true, you can see my problem. it's a different mindset. but the original discussion about racism and republicans wasn't even about moderately racist people like you, but the outright, "i won't vote for a black man" (and worse) racists. they are overwhelmingly republican and without them, the party couldn't win any elections.
tishhead 8 months ago
@SMFApples this why the repubs are in deep trouble in the long run. they continue to put an almost all-white face. look at their political rallies. you'll be lucky to see 2 or 3 non-white faces for every 100 people. but the white share of the population and vote continues to shrink. it was 88 percent when reagan was elected and 74 percent last election. it could drop into the 60s next time. and 90-plus percent of blacks vote dem and 65 percent of latinos. time is on the dems side.
tishhead 8 months ago
@SMFApples Note: I don't hate black people, I just dislike people who think they can sit back and be take care of by others. Get off your ass and take some initiative yourself.
SMFApples 8 months ago
@palinfeets Nahhhh, I'll leave that job to 0bama. Maybe he's actually good at it.
caligal2010 8 months ago
@palinfeets Are you saying that 37 presidents have served for one term? Because that isn't correct. The right number is 29. I can't wait to technically get Bushs' third term, minues the horrific 0bamacare, out of Office. I hope in 2012 we elect someone with a freaking backbone and good economic policies and EXPIRENCE into the White House.

@BarackObozo
I can read just fine. What's your point?
amitbarfs 8 months ago
@amitbarfs Slow on the up take CLEARLY
BarackObozo 8 months ago
@BarackObozo
Uptake is one word, not two. And I'm the poor reader?
amitbarfs 8 months ago
@amitbarfs Yeah you're right. Your comprehension appears to be lacking.
BarackObozo 8 months ago
@BarackObozo
What are you talking about? Same-gender marriages have been happening for years, if not centuries. Therefore it is possible. Thus your position that "marriage equality is impossible" is completely illogical.
amitbarfs 8 months ago
@amitbarfs Get off the crack pipe
BarackObozo 8 months ago
@amitbarfs "marriage equality" like "truck equality" or "dog equality" or "ocean equality" or "spleen equality" are all made up and nonsensical meaning lacking intelligible meaning: a nonsensical jumble of words (i.e "marriage equality")
BarackObozo 8 months ago
@BarackObozo
So? "Sport Utility Vehicle" is a made up word, yet the car it describes it is very possible, and does exist.
Same thing with same-gender marriage. Just because you close your eyes doesn't mean it isn't there.
amitbarfs 8 months ago
@amitbarfs Wow you ARE a dim bulb there is no such thin as "same gender marriage" that's like saying someone who has a child is a "mother father" they are mutually exclusive as stated above it is impossible for people of the same gender to marry NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU SAY IT IT SIMPLY ISN'T SO
BarackObozo 8 months ago
@BarackObozo
Or maybe you're a really old person (which you kinda sound like, no offense) and won't be around anyway.
amitbarfs 8 months ago
@amitbarfs Where are you from and how old?
BarackObozo 8 months ago
@BarackObozo
I am American enough and old enough to know that marriage equality and SUVs exist.
amitbarfs 8 months ago
@amitbarfs You're confusing desire with fact.
BarackObozo 8 months ago
@BarackObozo
I oppose SUV ownership and think it should be illegal in most states, yet I know SUVs exist.
amitbarfs 8 months ago
@amitbarfs Like I said what frightens me is the stupidity I face everyday with the intellectually less blessed.
BarackObozo 8 months ago
@BarackObozo
You should be happy that you're smarter than everyone else.
amitbarfs 8 months ago
@amitbarfs Why the hell do you oppose SUV ownerships?
caligal2010 8 months ago
@caligal2010
Family values reasons.
amitbarfs 8 months ago
@amitbarfs What does that mean? And SUV equiates to family values?
caligal2010 8 months ago
@amitbarfs btw Sport Utility Vehicle actually describes a conveyance, none of the words exclude one another and when put together they make sense.
BarackObozo 8 months ago
@BarackObozo
I was giving an example of something that came into existence after your Bible was written. SUV, marriage equality, these are both things that came into existence after Jesus was born.
amitbarfs 8 months ago
@amitbarfs "my Bible"? are you over 18?
BarackObozo 8 months ago
@BarackObozo
Yes I am over 18, and by "your Bible" (talk about impossibilities!) I am referring to the scriptures that you cite when you are not living in reality.
