@Snowfishification Oh, also, the reggae chanting//rapping accompanying her, sounds very uninspired and just doesn't mix with her affected tones & inflections at all. And the music is just textbook generic reggae & rather tiny tinny. I expected something much bigger & deeper & dramatic sounding for a so-called 'SuperGroup' of artists. Mick Jagger's solo effort 'She's The Boss' had a much better mix of styles and musicians than this overhyped "super" group of his. It may be time for him to retire!
@Snowfishification That's not what SHE said!! (i.e. Your Girlfriend). :o) So, you actually "like" how Joss Stone's voice, sounds, tonal-wise!? I just think it is gratingly unpleasant, much too often in her recordings. And way too affected sounding. Not as bad, as say, Shakira, but, then again, Joss, doesn't shake her hips and ass near as well, so, she really can't AFFORD to be quite as bad as Shakira sings!! :o)
Y'all need to stop being stupid and open your minds. I bet the fkrs hating are a bunch of 13 yrs old. Open ur f minds. It's music and it comes as it is.

If you are surprised or (worse) criticize Jagger for this, you should learn that Mick Jagger used to produce PETER TOSH records and publish them on Stones label back in the days. Open your mind, please.
@TheAtheistHindu Why should reggae be shit? Be more open to different styles. They did not take Damien Marley because of his father. "Jr. Gong" won an Emmy and his latest album "Distant relatives" was great... Reggae is intelligent music for everyone... From Kingston to the world! Don't be so small-minded!
it's good I like Joss Stone. I like Jagger up front typically but for post Stones work, Keith surpasses with his club band Xpensive Winos and his new autobiography is stellar, I was surprised.
Eh, if you're gonna fuse then fuse but no watered down "UK REGGAE" please. THe Distant Relatives album with Damian and NaS was a true fusion of NY Hiphop/Reggae, and African drums which ironically it all stemmed from anyway. I"m hoping that the Jagger.Marley connection will have be groundbreaking and i would have picked Marsha Ambrosius for this fusion rather than Joss Stone her voice can get annoying at times, I would have rather gone with Katy Perry or Jill scott
Sorry, but this sound here, isn't 'SuperHeavy' at all. It sounds like watered-down and totally generic colorless reggae. It just sounds awful to my ears. Joss Stone is a very sexy girl, but, she really doesn't have a very good tonal quality to her voice. I think she sounds terribly affected and unpleasant, much too often. But, I'd still have sex with her!! :o) But, even so, I fear her moans might be a bit too affected and unpleasant as well. Oh well. I'll wear ear muffs when we do it. :o)
@BobStoneman Mick did that with Peter Tosh because the Stones signed him to their label..then dropped him. Yes Keith...very much a rasta. Claims he is a member of a rasta tribe and has an entire chapter in his book about his rasta family. His other band is all rasta...called WIngless Angels. Mick has had some good solo work over the years. However, he hasn't done it by himself. Hes had big names either produce or appear on the albums with him. Long live the Stones :)

Guess this song kind of grows on me. With Keith being the rastafarian white god he is, I wonder what he thinks about Mick's attempt.

@dannyd1572
Keith being the rastafarian ????
remember MIck with Peter Tosh?
Keith is always portrayed as the good honest heart of rock 'n roll.....
Actually Mick has carried the Stones for 30+ years and his solo work is great!

This is horrible. Mick shouldn't try to "re-invent" himself when he already plays with one of history's most successful bands.

is it just me or is that guitar rhythm the same in every reggae song??
RandomTop5 7 months ago
@RandomTop5 It's not just you. It's not just the rhythm guitar ... it's all of reggae music. The same song, over and over and over ...
eastriverblues 7 months ago
@RandomTop5 LOL No...not just you. If you can play one chord and stroke it 4 times....your a reggae guitar player...lol
