Statistics from The Bureau of Justice Statistics also reported that Arizona’s violent crime and property crime rates for 2006/07/08 declined and that 2008 was the lowest since 1983. Overall, in the decade from 1998-2008, violent crime in Arizona declined by 23 percent and property crime by 28 percent.
