At this time I don't plan on finishing the entire scene. There are already a few other videos on youtube that attempt this, some better than others. In case anybody was wondering, I used Adobe After Effects. Time consuming but it does a good job.
@1ZeroFilms absolutely amazing lightsaber animation there- looked so real! normally youtube lightsaber vids are corny and dim-looking, but this was sharp, bright, and accurate! Well done!
Finish the whole scene it was very cool. Who cares about the lightsaber doing what its supposed to do when it touches skin. I just finished watching the scene of the movie itself and thought it would be cool to add some effects
@Sed1er i always thought it was dumb to begin with... why on earth would they start sword fighting like that, and nobody intervenes? Bond's spent his whole career using a gun and now is suddenly an expert in sword fighting (both early modern rapiers and medieval broad swords) ... where did that come from?
@CMTours732 well actually nobody intervenes because they are scared and because they gustave graves and his foolishness for needing to win. hes rich and ownes that entire place. no one is going to stop that. also bond is known to dabble in lots of things hes good at everything. this is kinda implied in every bond movie. the fact he is good at sword fighting just adds to the awesomeness. its a great scene.
@CMTours732 You missed the Falchions that they started this particular fight with (which they seem to fight with using styles similar to fencing), and the Korean style katana that Gustav pulls out after he throws his sword at Bond.
BTW, having fought with them, Broadswords are fairly easy to just pick up and fight with. For basics you just need to know the six broadsword cuts and how to handle the heavier blade.

Rapiers maybe, as Bond went to Oxford he might have done some swordfighting like that, but medieval broadswords - bit too far!
