Using a sample from a song doesn't detract from the quality of the original piece. I can think of many examples of music where I enjoy both the original and covers/remixes/sampled songs, too. If musicians weren't able to borrow from each other then things would quickly stagnate. Personally, if i like a piece of music, i like to hear it used in a variety of ways.

I once saw band in oxford called Raindance, they were really great and I think Ed played in the band, he definitely designed the album cover for them. needless to say they were amazing! that was back in the 80's I think.

this guy has been all over new york city for the passed month and a half. i saw him at grand central terminal and penn station almost daily. its def a treat, he draws a crowd and tons of cheers

Ed alleyne johnson is 1 of the greatest underrated underappreciated violin players ever. Any1 from any music group will apreciate the sounds of Ed. Too bad, he's not heavily advertised, as the crappy music we are forced to listen to here in the U.S.
This man should be playing in very big concert halls, not in the streets. He probably will make it big someday, and he should, because the world would love every single ed alleyne johnson originals. GO ED!

maybe he wants to play on the streets... maybe he one of those rare breeds of musicians who honestly plays because he honestly enjoys doing so, and he doesn't want the money.

@AldrinCoolFool yeah their are so many amazing people from other places diffferent from th U.S. I think it's stupid how they mainly advertise pop and rock bands. No techno, no country, nothing els.
