  • It was pretty good, reminiscent of thanksgiving I thought lol. Mixed the spice and most of the cheese with the stuffing and topped w/ the rest. Also I used 2 medium tomatoes(I try not to do canned) and added a little more water. Covered it for the first 15mins..and serve w/ steamed veggies. I'll be making this again. Thanks bunches for posting, am going to check out your other vids.

  • @macaronipop The countertop ones are actually quite cheap, Mike. They are under $100. I really liked the one from Lowe's...it was a Kitchen Aid

  • Looks like another score for Stovetop. The first recipe you did was delightful, and this looks just as good. It's probably on sale now that everyone's done stuffing turkeys, so I might have to stock up.

    I think if you mixed the basil in with the stuffing mixture, it might soften and diffuse the flavor. I'd be tempted to throw in a smidge of rosemary, too. A squeeze of lemon? Why not?

  • @anmoose You got it totally right--mix it in with the stuffing. I think Scott wouldn't have noticed it as much. The chicken stuck together or was held, molded together by the cheese, which was weird to me.. If I tipped that dish, it would have come out as one large serving haha

  • Ok well i've never heard of STOVE TOP stuffing mix for chicken...we have something similar called PAXO which is usually sage and onion flavour...would this be what i'd use?

  • You don't mess around girl - Kitchen Aid for the little oven? Wow. Nice. Oh wow, several related videos are the exactly recipe. Love it. It's a very pretty dish - the tomato, the brown crunchiness of the stuffing against the white chicken.

  • @thizizliz Interestingly, the Kitchen Aid oven was cheaper than other brands. I wished that it was a convection oven though

  • This really does look delicious. I am always looking for new ideas and this is something I will try. You make it look so easy. 

  • @LitlRuthy It looks easy...because it is! One of the things that I try to look for in a recipe is one that doesn't take a whole lot of prep time. We women are too busy these days to slave over a stove ;)

  • @imperceptibleme The oven is okay...it is very small and can't hold many trays/casseroles. I had to buy a half sheet for cookies! Good grief. Plus, the door gets SO flippin hot and my hand has hit it more than a few times getting things out of there.

  • @MouseChirpy I try thinking of all the flavors in my head before attempting a recipe. Scott has GERD, so I have had to be very careful lately with tomato containing dishes... This one didn't make him suffer :)

  • you could fix the over browning problem by putting foil over it.

  • @oOMusicIsLifeOo The problem is it is a new oven and I've been playing with it.The first two items were just too close to the heating element, thus the excess browning. I've got it under control :)

  • @pjspassions Nope, the cheese was nice and gooey!! If I redid this, I would try to figure out how to make the chicken not stick together. Don't know how to explain it, but the cheese made it bind together and if I had tipped the casserole, it would have come out as one big serving haha
