You are right, that Baja never went 80 as I found out the speedo was way off. It actually showed just about 80 when I had the engine full tilt. Not sure what the heck was going on their. I am guessing it was closer to 70. You do know your hull designs that is for sure...... Do you still have your bost? Terry.
@tmrieker Yes i do, its one of the best boat ive owned. Recently i installed a new motor, Olds 455 with Aluminium RPM heads, 480 HP, 520 Lbs Torque. The pump is next. On a good day, calm water with the wind behind me i can hit 60.
Terry, Terry, Terry. Nice boat bud but are you really sure it'll do 80? Its the hull, you could have 1000 HP pushing you along but it's just not shaped correctly to do 80, Scarab's and flat bottom Taylors can hit 80 no problem if they have enough RPM range, HP and a Droop but this style of Baja... mmm i doubt it. Im not knocking your boat, it looks very nice, i have the same style of Baja as you do but if you claim 80 MPH i'd like to see on GPS, vrs the speedo you have that tops out at 65.
