I love the way he nearly tells you something everytime, telling you that something is amiss but nto sayign what. I watched the movie a few days ago and i am compeltly enchanted. It was amazing, i want to see it with friends who havent seen it, and look for their reactions.
I wish more movie trailers were like this. This trailer gave no HINT at ALL of the shower scene. No one knew that was coming. Trailers today? They show all the funniest parts, the scariest parts, sometimes even ruining the plot twists. Why would we watch the movie if all that were in the trailer? This style is awesome. Maybe a little long drawn for today's standards but seriously, it'd be cool to see trailers not show any actual footage.
People don't remember, this is not " Alfred Hitchcock's PSYCHO ", it was a novel by Robert Bloch before it ever was a movie.NOT HITCHCOCK'S IDEAS AT ALL !!
@MrS98VAC Well, that's not entirely true. The film has a number of differences from the book, as any film adaptation has, and the book was based on Ed Gein, so it wasn't a completely original idea to begin with. So it is Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho because it's his retelling of the story.
@HeHepTV That's the genius of it... he's a tease and leaving it all up to the viewer's imagination. Finally, they get to a point where they're like, "Dammit, now I HAVE to know what the hell happened at this hotel!" Otherwise, it's an open loop that gnaws at you -- nobody likes an unsolved mystery.
NO ONE did coming attractions better than Alfred Hitchcock---the humor is dark and only hints at the conent of the actual film. These should be watched by modern filmmakers as examples of the art of the coming attraction--but I'll bet they are just given to a department that have no imagination whatsoever.
Hey guys, we've made a new rock song about this great film, as well as songs about other awesome films such as The Wicker Man and The Departed. Please take some time to listen to some of our stuff :)
@sperrin I am corrected! You're right. The media and Hitchcock himself made it seem as if Janet Leigh was the star and a lot of people actually went to see the movie just for her. He wanted people to think anything could happen during the film, when he killed off a "main" character and the only "major" star 30 minutes into the movie.

@Drmovieskull I agree. Very unique. And, considering the nature of the film, I love the innocent sounding 1950's/1960's music throughout. LOL And it's all nice and fair until...Hitchcock pulls the shower curtain back, and...ALL SCARY!!! Awesome.

You know that they couldn't get Janet Leigh for this trailer so they had to use Vera Miles as the stand-in for the shower/scream scene at the end.

@bombass2000 No, they used Vera Miles as not to give away a HUGE plot point.
