  • I cant see its huge fangs, they should be dark red color and right below its head, they were most surely removed

  • plz respond i am getting one some time soon and can you tell me howmuch differnce in size are the males from females and how much of bigger thanks

  • what i ve heard bite from this peruvian giant centipede is something like to get a shot from .22 lr caliber from short distance

  • I want one for a pet and named it Rebbie.

  • Yes, i agree with irapesheep. I'll let you be ma hero too.

  • I'd say, clip your nails... after that, you're my hero.

  • Aw HELL no

  • ПИЗДЕЦ

  • Are you nuts letting that thing crawl on you!! They are danergous.

  • @Sidewinder9877 it's not likely at all it would have killed me. and i was curious what would happen when a calm, large adult male human was bitten by one. unfortunately it did not bite me

  • НУ НААХУЙЙ!! ФУУУ БЛЯЯЯТЬ!!!

  • pay me 500 bucks and i still won't hold it!

  • F that!

  • that guy has the creepiest fingernails i've seen on a man... FUCKING CUT THEM ALREADY!

  • would NOT like to find that in my shoe

  • man i know that i am a man im 24 and im pretty buff but i would litterly crap in my pants and pee on myself.. if i had that thing on me man!! i would make everthing in my power to get that thing of me for sure,

or i would faint right where they are, right on the floor just

"BAM.. i faint man" then i wake up and i see that again BAM i faint again man.

nah but seriously just look at it >__<

Fuck bugs they are like..just fuck em

and i know these are like really really venemous u die, right

  • @MsRandomPro it would probably just hurt a ton, but not kill you. it might be able to do a bit of kidney damage or even shut them off... i am still researching that, though

  • @cacoseraph why isn't it biting you????

  • @MChell87 Because he's not hurting or restraining it. I own tarantulas and these things creep me out. Luckily where I live the biggest you see is the house centipede. I see them running up the wall on occasion and I trap 'em and put them in our garden. Or if ti's winter just let them be, they destroy pest insects inside and out.

  • @cacoseraph it was well fed and watered and we did nothing to alarm it. mostly, we were just lucky, though. centipedes tend to strike "randomly" more than tarantulas or scorpions, ime. fun fact, they actually use modified legs to deliver their venom so it is not technically biting. i do say biting most of the time, however =P

  • @MsRandomPro dude, you just printed every word going through my head watching this, this F`cker is said to have the most painfull bite in the world. yes I`m a bloke & yes I`ve got a pair, but that thing, no F`cking way Jose!

  • I found this hard to masturbate to.

  • por que no muerde esa escalopendra? why the scalopendra don't bite?

  • looks like gigantea robusta...

  • @come2die Scolpendra gigantea robusta is not a valid trinomial anymore. S. robusta was originally described from Mexico and S. gigantea from south america. Dr. Rowland Shelley was the one who invalidated the trinomial

  • dont let if bite

  • @williemay100 i saw a baby one like 3 inchs long under a rock

  • A cousin of mine and I saw one of these alongside of a creek in the middle of Arizona about 45 years ago. I'm glad to hear they are rare in the USA. We have enough venomous insects in Arizona.

  • kill it with fire

  • Comment removed

  • The Centipede is so much big, and nice, but how can you take it on hand? Ouh

  • YUCK!!!!!

  • Looks like a bloody turd with legs.

  • What happens when one of those fuckers CRAWLS INSIDE YOUR MOUTH AND STARTS TO DEVOUR YOU FROM INSIDEEEE??? Alternatively, lays eggs in your scrotum?

  • Girl in the background in the pink top is thinking "Hmmmmm lunch"

  • ЕБАТЬ

  • lol 0:38 king Leonidas ahahaha this cant bite?

  • in the place there at they remove the venom sacks of the venomous insects snakes arachnids etc.

  • @3rsliz definitely not. i don't buy or support/feature any animals that have been modified by humans like that. every once in a while i have seen scorpions that shed their skin incorrectly and loose their stinger and am fine with that, but not cutting the stinger off to play with

  • if that thing come in ma house i kill it

  • That's a fat, happy centipede right there. Judging by how it was kinda sluggish I'd guess it had eaten recently. I'm surprised at what a pussycat it was being.

  • i hate them got bitten by one the pain omg!!!!!!!!!!!! kill them alll....

  • An insect that's longer than my penis? Cue in feelings of inadequacy. LOL

  • @ralphM1114 don't feel too bad, that bar has been set awfully high: if you google "world's longest insect" you will see what i mean

  • @cacoseraph I feel better now, especially after giving my girlfriend a really big O. LOL

  • which types are harmful because i want one

  • @frostbitepup87 well... it's easier to say the species that probably are not too harmful. Scolopendra polymorpha and Ethmostigmus trigonopodus (blue only, yellow SUCKS to get bit by) are probably the best starter centipedes. neither have hell bites and bother are quite tough compared to some other species. trigo gets bigger in the average case than poly, btw... but trigos are usually 2-3x as expensive

  • @cacoseraph hey thanks :D

  • That's just nasty. Just look at those fingernails!

  • That. Is. So. Creepy.

  • fuck any bug that can kill mammals

  • @cacoseraph, there are centipedes like that in my house (in Costa Rica) but they are like 8 - 10cms long, also they are dark brown, with yellow legs, do you know the exact type of centipede they are???? I would like to capture one of those as a pet.... and why that scolopendra didn't bite you?????

  • @ifhyymf I got those too. You know what the countermeasure is? Raid!

  • @ifhyymf why tha fuck would you a centipede as a pet?

  • 俺にはムカデを手に乗っけるなんて絶対無理です。

    第一...噛まれたら重傷になるんじゃないんですか!?

  • @bananamango1979 the venom would probably cause a lot of pain but would not kill me

  • omg that is ewww how can u hold that thing i am so scrared of these things

  • God is a scolopendra. Thy Lord thy God is a giant, talking centipede, folks.

  • Looks like the maxilla were cut off on this one.

  • @SnowWalkerOne did you watch the video? centipede is uncut. if you watch more of my videos you see i get bit a fair amount of the time... just not this time :)

  • @cacoseraph lol Ok then, your crazy. :) I saw a few of these in Venezuela that you wouldn't wish to find in your bug net with you. You're a brave one to handle those babies. I maintained one once, and although it was beautiful, I was not inclined to handle bare handed.

  • @SnowWalkerOne thank you, that is more accurate :) i almost certainly wouldn't die from a bite, but odds are it would have hurt really really bad. like somewhere between sprain and break your wrist bad. my friends that held it knew the risks and it seemed fairly unlikely they would get bit. i would not suggest anyone play with ANY big centipede with out researching the risks and judging for themself if it is worth it. i am not a good role model for what bugs to play with =P

  • why isn't he biting you? is this species less aggressive? or have you domesticate it?

  • comment kelkun peu toucher sa!!! g d frisssons!!!!

  • I have recurring nightmares about these guys crawling up my B U T T H O L E and I lose sleep over it. :-)

  • OMG!!! ARENT THEY EXTREMELY VENOMOUS!!!???!

  • @MU51CxL0V3R centipedes dont have venom. there bite causes agonizing pain and btw why is this thing not bitting these guys? never seen a Scolopendra but other species are very aggressive

  • @Blassbeat oh, I didnt know they were not venomous... they sure look mean tho!!

  • @Blassbeat Centipedes DO have venom. You will get very unpleasant symptoms from one of them biting you.

  • dont they bit?

  • Dude i hate centipedes. how can you hold one without it biting you? here in hawaii we just stomp them to death.

  • сколопендра сьела собаку чау чау

  • If they like to bite humans, then why didn't this one bite its handlers' arms???

  • that centipede is incredibly docile *__* I would love to have on that acted in such a way! But he/she would still bite.... centipedes are better to observe :)

  • I'm getting 2 of these in august!!!!! They are sooo hard to find!

  • Dude, bugs are so cool. *_*

  • @michaelmakris

I kill these bugs like this cuz they fuckking suckkkkkk and i will kill them

  • I won't go on holiday to some countries because of these things - I am absolutely f****** terrified of them!!!!

  • 1 word' awsome

  • I would give that guy $100 just to see him get bit from that shit

  • DAMN, U GOTTA CUT YOUR FINGER NAILS DUDE, THATS DISGUSTING

  • Why he is not bitten? How can he do that? That man earned my respect.

  • That's kinda cool..

  • oh my dear golly that is just creepy.

  • Smash that shit!

  • meow o.O

  • were can i get one in dallas ?

  • damn i hate centipedes the only type of animal in the world that really freaks me out but they are fascinating and no doubt i i will add one to my collection even if i never pick it up, ill be entertained just watching it going about its business, who knows i might bring myself to try and pick it up if its in a good mood, they arent malicious after all. no such thing as evil in the animal kingdom. cool vids u have really opened me up to the idea of keeping these critters thnx

  • @honeyputdowndaknife You start off your post hating centipedes, and then you end it by wanting one as a pet. Are you bipolar?

  • @castingtherunes are you narrow minded or something? i have the utmost respect for a creature thats been around longer than reptiles doesnt mean i like them or that i wouldnt take the opportunity to keep one and enjoy its interesting behaviour, i take good care of all my pets even the nasty ones for they depend on me, i dont even kill spiders or centipedes free roaming the house even though like i said centipedes freak me out yet i recognize their importance and formidable predatory habits

  • can everybody stop with the 'Damn Nature, You Scary' bit on every single nature video. fuck.

  • Why the Fuck would u want to hold that? Arent they Poisonous...? I Think even Bear Grylls did even mess with it..

  • oooohhh shitttt......id be dead before i touch a centipede...!!

  • DAMN NATURE, YOU SCARY!

  • I really really like centipedes... Idk why..

  • SQUASH THE FUCKER! JUMP ON IIIIIT

  • GOOSEBUMPS ... i hate that whatever u call it . i was bitten by it , that's why i really hate them! huhuhu.

  • Doesn't that species bite? lol fuck that.

  • So is this species also called the Giant yellow legged centipede? I bought one today at my cities reptile show and it was $20 dollors the guy (Ken the Bug guy who will be featured on the Science Channel soon) said they get about 9" long you were saying that he was selling this for 300 dollars? Was that because it was his pet and he wouldn't part for it for any less? The priciest centipede I've ever seen was $160 dollars and that was because of its unique white and red coloration.

  • @thehat222

negative. you have an Ethmostigmus species from a different suborder or superfamily or something. do try not to get bit by it, it can be pretty gnarly.

this is probably a Scolopendra gigantea.

  • C'mon guys! Eat it!!!

  • I puked after 1 second of watching this video

  • WAT THE FREAK

  • KILLLLL IT UUGGHH

  • i'm hungry!

  • O_o

  • At least the Centipede didn't bite that guy.

  • O_O

  • I don't know how people live in centipede-infested countries.

  • @castingtherunes

    very carefully?

the USA has centipedes almost that big in extreme cases. most giant centipedes in the USA are quite a bit smaller... but then again, the centipede in this video, especially at that size, is by no means common in it's own country of origin

  • Hi im from the caribbean.. and im tellin u for sure without a doubt.. tht centipedes that big sometimes bigger are very common when u see them... trust me its horrible... i always runaway screamin when i see them.

  • @molxxxx

    lucky =P

  • @castingtherunes little did he know every country has centipedes

  • @jeehoondevil I don't know how anyone can live on a centipede-infested planet.

  • @castingtherunes dude, there are centipedes and thelyphonidas (its a spider with clawsa) IN MY HOUSE!

  • @castingtherunes

My housse is clear so i don't have these shit on my housse haha!

  • @castingtherunes i dont know either!!! My dad was a marine in Vietnam and he said he was so afraid of those things, cuz 1 bite can kill you.....when i was a kid (like 7-8yrs old) my mom and I got a fake plastic 1 from the store and put it onto of his 6pack in the frig.....when he opened the door and saw it he jumped back and turned so white, it terrified him.....he just sat and didnt alk for like 30 minutes. We felt so horrible, we had no idea it would bother him that badly

  • @CasidheNicole If a marine is afraid of them, then that's one monster bug, LOL! I'm stickin to the northeast. Fuck the tropics.

  • @CasidheNicole the vietnamese localities have no deaths on record, but the largest species there, Scolopendra subspinipes *is* almost certainly the same species as does have the sole death on record. of course, it was a 5 year old girl who got bit on the neck, in the Philippines, in the 1950's... which kinda stacks the cards WAY against her. a marine would "just" go through 1-3 days of pain akin to a really bad sprain or light broken bone followed by a 1-3 weeks of tenderness.

  • @castingtherunes Its easy! They're cool ;)

  • @castingtherunes It's not that bad, they stay under their rocks and logs, we stay in our buildings. We've got a nice thing going.

  • I am amazed at how calm the centipede is. I live in Hawaii and every centipede iv come across has been erratic, either aggressive or fleeing. I fail to see how this one is so chilled out. Did you guys cool it with ice or some drugs like a sedative so it can be handled?

  • the last one i picked up bit me and didn't let go!

  • @cakesofdeath

heh, yeah, they do that sometimes. i try to have a little (or medium for big ol' centipedes) paintbrush around to safely pry their fangs out of me. so far i have had a couple centipedes and a couple trapdoor spiders get their fangs stuck in me.

  • I thought this centipedes are poison, they have fangs just like venemous spiders.

It feed on birds and stuff

Why the hell will you let it walk on your hands?

and why is it not biting him?

Sorry for the bad english i'm Dutch

  • @Edsco79

sometimes i get lucky and do not get bitten. other times i definitely regret playing with all the pretty bugs that i do. this centipede was very well behaved, though centipedes very rarely give any warning before attacking.

p.s. i believe i understood you perfectly. good job on the english :)

  • Whats stopping it from biting you? This is strange, as I thought centipedes were highly aggressive.

Is removal of it's fangs possible?

Maybe they are actually intelligent to have distinct personalities, and can be tamed? Sounds unlikely though

  • I can't stand those fuckers.....

  • vous croyez qu il lui fait un bisou avant d aller se coucher lol....il faudrait me payer cher pour en prendre un dans la main....

  • You were not afraid to take that fucker on your arm?! What if it starts biting you!?

  • @ttCrawsaive

the venom would probably cause fairly intense pain for a couple days, but wouldn't be dangerous to life or limb. i was a tiny bit disappointed it didn't bite me, as i have (more had these days) a side hobby of finding out what different centipede species bites are like. when i entered the hobby we only knew a few BAD species, but no good (i.e. not that human reactive) ones. now we kinda do :)

  • @ttCrawsaive yeah i heard the bite feels like someone burining you with a sigarette and it can bite several times.

  • id laugh if that kid whacked the centipede, and it startled it, and it went beserk and stung the mans arm beyond belief....

no actually i wouldnt laugh, id drop my jaw in disbelief

  • @PcJaiden828

It'd be funny if the centipede gets lost in the man's beard.

  • @snoopdogsballs

heh, no bugs like my beard. well, no big pet bugs like this, at any rate =P

  • that fucking gave me the creeps.

  • yeah..human..your great and cool coz we have some things incommon...maybe..coz i really love centipedes,(how about you)since i was a kid...until know...i think 4ever,hope you too will never disgust to this cutie, armory, squishy, colorful creepy graceful crawlers...wooh!!!really love them men!specially d scolopendra gigantea...suddenly im from Philippines-i only got S. polymorpha...take care...god bless you...

  • EWWWW!! i would never ever ever want one crawling on my freak'n hand in my whole life..

  • I've heard those things bite HARD and are poisonous, so I wouldn't hold one.

  • Lovely creature !

  • ooooohhh king leonidas and scalopedrea lol

  • just think of that just strolling along your kitchen floor

  • I wouldn't even hold one of those for a million dollars! I am deadly afraid of them! One time i got bite and ever since then i've been scared! i actually just finish killing one! of course before screaming bloody murder and then i stomped it to a pulp while screaming * DIE BITCH! * at 1 in the morning!

  • @harajukuloverfanatic GOOD JOB!!!!!

  • thats gross! id freak out if i found one in my bed

  • That is one hardcore beard, the centipede is not going to mess with Grizzly Adams.

  • @ReconRaptor

    sshhh! don't tell me secrets!

  • amazing! beautiful creatures >:D

  • @firststeponsun

thanks. you're name made me sad till i got to the end =P

    thanks for watching
