She did mention TV is not a good resource for brain-building exercise, which I can totally see why. She did make allowances for any shows that engage critical thinking. I do wonder, though, if the internet is good or bad. I can see, where in some ways it just reinforces my tendency to be scattered and my short attention span, but it also does engage me in some real thinking—searching—researching—repetitive mind tasks, etc.
I sleep 9 to 11 hours a night. Wake up some in the night. Usually don't get up, though. I have too heavy a need to go back to sleep. But I think it is helping, after the stress and insomnia of treatment and sudden chemo-pause lasted so long. So I let my body sleep!
Dr. Hardwicke, what is the ideal amount of time to sleep. I know some say 8 hours, but for me that is too much. If I sleep 8 hours, I wake up more tired. Do you have any information about that?
