  • Dylan was such an awesome song writer. Hendrix totally kicked his ass as musician though. You can hear Dylan's influence in Wind Cries Mary. very dylan like lyrics.

  • This could the best version of this song.

  • I can hear Curtis Mayfield's influence in this (version of this) song.

    "studying what?"

FACT: Had Jimi taken time off to study music formally, it would have only enhanced his talent.

  • That's very interesting, who did he study under? What years did he study?

  • ericoxendine you jammed w/Hendrix & BB King? WOW!!!!!! Just when you think you heard it all from Hendrix someone pulls a different pc from the vault. Fucken Great. Thank you....

  • He was going to be free, creatively and professionally, for the first time in his all too brief career.

All the lies and propaganda and disinformation, about Jimi in particular and so many events in the distant and recent past can make ones head spin.

Can you imagine if Jimi could have taken a couple years off from incessant touring for Michael Jeffries - and actually studied theory? And Brahms, Handel, Bach etc.

Thank you again, Eric, for this Beautiful gem.

    Take Care, my friend!

    Marc

  • Thanks for listening, Marc. Anything would be a different vibe, for sure, after having the honor and pleasure of playing music with Jimi Hendrix ! What happened two nights after ? Your Friend, Eric Oxendine

  • Hey, Eric!

Greetings from 8,000 ft, high above Golden, CO!

In answer to your question, COINTELPRO took the life Martin Luther King. How ironic that a little over two years later, Jimi himself would be taken from us by those same people.

He was "water-boarded" with red wine, you know. Jimi was a social drinker by all accounts, as I am sure you know. And I am sure you know he did not overdose -- or commit suicide, for goodness sakes.

  • yeah the Eye in the Pyramid Boys bumped him, off.. of course he knew all about the alien stuff..God bless you Jimi

  • quite a jam-gem..!

  • Thanks, VoodoSpirit, Im glad you enjoyed it !!!! Eric Oxendine

  • Hey - this is absolutely awesome. 5*

    Love and peace

    Malcolm
