How the protest was in breach of the law in my humble opinion was the protestors were in contravention of Section 8 of the Public Order Act, ie failure to follow the direction of a Garda and leave an area in a peaceful manner and to desist acting in a disorderly fashion in a public place. Not 100% but think thats it

I don't think anybody was acting disorderly, afterall they were taking part in a protest which they are entitled to do under Irish law.
