The guitar player in the motorcycle shirt is Andy Aledort. He is an editor for several guitar magazines and has transcribed all of Jimi Hendrix's work. He's a really nice guy and a great player.
In New York City, a place where Dickey Betts had had many great achievements, he played what will possibly become his last touring date on December 12, his 66th birthday.
"Im not retiring from playing. Im sure there will be some great special events that Ill be at in the future. But for now, I look forward to waking up tomorrow with nothing on my schedule."
After more than 40 years of constant touring its time for a well deserved break.
Holy shit, when/where did you read this? I hope him and Gregg put their differences aside and play together, even if it were just a one-off show. But a tour would be great. Dickey, Warren, and Derek all on stage together.
haha man this a great show i was rite in front of the stage u cant see i dont think cause im short but it was poring out and everyone left but there was like 50 people tht sat in the rain for dicky whoa great show
Just saw them over the weekend, great show. This looks like the same lineup. I think that guitarist's wardrobe is made up up Triumph T-shirts 'cause he was still wearing it this past Saturday. And that base player played lead slide for the opening act(Devon Allman) then came out and played bass for Dickey!!!!
Pedro Arrevelajo is his name! the guy is a monster musician. He is from FLA. and u should check out his solo stuff.. He has like a Cuban/ Latin flavor to his jams. UNREAL stuff

I saw Dickey and company sometime in the early to mid 80s at the Boathouse in Norfolk, Va. One of my favorite guitarists. Nice stuff.
