Just Delete Page and Create a new one.

Tengo el mismo problema, como en la categoria seleccioné la opción sites e blogs el Facebook me categorizó como Comunidade. Hay que continuar reclamando y mencionando la empresa, tal vez si aparecemos mucho en el SCUP dediquen un tiempito a ayudarnos.

I had the same problem for one of my clients so what I did was created a new page and then added a FBML App to insert HTML code into the new page. I then was able to get an option to make that as a landing page.

Thanks for the update and the link. I believe though that the policy on the link you send me has been outdated. I have many pages that I admin that have way less than 10K fans and they do have the ability to set a default landing tab. It's only the pages that have been "reclassified" as community pages that are missing the ability. If the note you found is still in effect, then I wouldn't have the ability to set the default tab on any page. Please keep up the great research though!

Hello Stacy, I've been searching about this problem and what is causing it and finally found this article about it..

you need to work with an ads account representative or have greater than 10,000 fans to be able to have that feature! Facebook really can't get enough money..

@zo3tyy Hello i read about it too, but it is information from 2009i think. So it's possible that it is "out of order". I'm still waiting for any response from facebook if i get something, definitly gonna post here.

no clue here too... sorry... i have extalcy the same problem with 9,4k fans fanpage... just send facebook message for changing category from community page to something else.. and waiting... but according to you video i don't have any hope. .... :/

@lojke51 Thanks for your comment. The problem still has not been resolved, and it appears to be spreading. I now have 4 separate cases which I'm trying to help with this same problem and there is no resolution that I can find from anyone. And, things have gotten worse...we aren't hearing back from FB on our petition requests...at ALL! At least I got a response from them on this case study. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING. Not sure how small biz gets the attention of Facebook.

@StaceyHarmon This is really ***** ;)I'm developing and designing fanpages, and after all the work i said to client that i can help to add my application tab into his fanpage and set it as default. Now all this means that my work was for nothing. I send the message to "Fan Page Help Center"

i found it on the developers forum, maybe this would get us some informations..we'll see. i will be in touch and write here if know anythin'

Hi, I had the same problem and just found the SOLUTION!!! You just have to log out and visit your page or google it, you'll see the change :-) It is explaned in a video called "How to change the default landing tab for a Facebook page" channel: handweb
