Normally, if you were to upgrade a mac OS, you change the whole system. So if the mac (versing windows) is upgraded, this means old mac is thrown away. Therefore windows PC has no one to versus with.

no i think what chrischoy9 is saying is that if apple came out with a new computer you would have to completely upgrade your mac (throw out your old one) and buy the new one because they make the newer imacs just like a laptop which is not easy to upgrade especially when almost ALL components are built-in to the motherboard which makes it basically impossible to upgrade-- but pcs sometimes have expansion slots to upgrade the video card,audio card,networking card,and also have ram upgrade slot

pc gets a lot more virus then mac. that slows the pc way down and makes the performance crap. try formating your drive then it will work like it came out of the box. and if you compare the way it was running before you will see the how much performance you were missing. (no i dont hate pc but mac have good performance and so do pc well if you take care of it.)

3) you can choose a wider variaty of web browsers, making PC actually better for web surfing

5) you can have the latest and greatest technology quickest.

xp sucks ass, its slow as fuck, task manager doesnt work, there is no spell check, theres 1 feature called ms paint.

vista is xp with a better look and hogs memory because of it even tho mac has a better look than windows and doesnt hog memory.

now to back it up. windows has transparent windows with a semi transparent picture moving around behind it... WOW, mac has a real time reflection dock and semi transparent windows (not all), windows has win key tab... WOW, mac has expose (1000x better).

pc laptop 1400 +900 in repairs = 2300, thats quite allot.

mac = 2000 +0 in repairs = 2000

the mac is still up and running, the laptop is in the closet rotting.

I know. I have no problem with my Windows Vista laptop though. But, are slow peice of CRAP Windows XP desktop got like 5 viruses and all together they deleted the whole OS. Including the Blue Screen of Death! So it is on its third hard drive right now.

But the only reason my laptop crashed is because I messed up the BIOS. But now it works fine. It has no virus protection and still no viruses.
