can anyone fill me in on what err99 is? Is it a problem with all the EOS range or just certain models? Was just about to buy a cannon 40D but now don't know what to do. Anybody know much about this problem ? Cheers
this a very easy thing to do...do not set it how you are doing it...when you half press the shutter button to focus, then use the wheel and change your EC...same thing happened to me at first
although you are in manual mode, the slr still controls all of the necessary settings for you to be able to take greate pictures. i too have a canon 40d. i tried your exposure settings -2, it keeps on changing. then i experimented a little bit and i found out that through your eye piece, the "arrow" thats pointing to the exposure is blinking. then i tried to change my shutter speed until the 'blinking' stops. then i took the picture and there you go. its exposure remained -2. hope this helps. :)
Thanks to all! problem solved. I thought there was something wrong with my 40d.
