  • isnt that the chinese music from battlefield 2?

  • The one and only possible choice for background music.

  • It is very difficult to clean my Cybertool 41, it has a lot of tools hehe, but i will try.

  • Okay, so Ihave everything toclean my sak except the multi-tool oil how much dies it cost on the website?

  • Would it be all right to use 3-in-1 oil on this?

  • Nice music, just like in super hero movies!

  • Macgyver theme song brilliant

  • You inspired me to clean my Victorinox Swiss Army Fisherman's Knife. Nice video.

  • This music is AWESOME! I can't tell if I'm supposed to be cleaning my victorinox or putting on my SUPERHERO costume! Yeahhhhh!!!

  • HAHA when i had my first swiss knife i thought the toothpick was a cleaner then my dad told me otherwise

  • 2:19 How the frak did you get a Non-locking blade to stick into a tree like that????

  • Is that the music from battlefield 2 ?? lol

  • Should be titled 'how to wipe your Swiss Army Knife clean'

  • Actually once you have purchased a Victorinox you are obligated to join the Swill Army. Didn't they tell you that? There is a mind control button on the inside that automatically activates if the Swiss need you.

  • Sweet set!!!

  • 2:50 csi new york song

    helpful vid

  • Great tutorial. Thanks.

  • ah man. Burnt my hand in the hot water, then cut my finger opening the knife

  • BF2 music?

  • can you plz tell me how often i should clean and oil my sswiss army knife thanks

  • hi,could you tell me how often i should clean and oil my swiss army knife.thanks

  • The music is far too happy & triumphant. Come on, it's just a knife, it's not like we are all really Swiss Army men!

  • I bet it would take over an hour to fully clean the XAVT

  • Super videoclip !

  • "Be careful- BLADES ARE VERY SHARP"

Well thank you for the notice, surely everyone thought that they're harmless before they saw your video

  • Danny b fucked ur mom last night

  • i liked the part about : ta na na na .na na na ne na na tralalala

  • oh yea, im going to use someing i put in my mouth to clean gunk off of my knife. ill get a pin or sweing needle if i want do do that.

  • @billymayer1000 I'ts not a big deal since straws are disposable. It works perfect for sucking out all the small stuff that is a pain to get with a needle. Clearly this fits perfect with the Macgyver soundtrack... using an item for something other then the obvious. The fact that a straw can go in your mouth has nothing to do with it.

  • @hunterharkins sucking out all of the small stuff? thats even worse! what if the gunk flies into my mouth? eww

  • @billymayer1000 I think you mis-understood my comment, Im talking about using an actual vacum cleaner. Not sucking with your mouth. And forcing all the suction to come from the straw, instead of a rather large everyday vacum hose. So all the gunk would get sucked into the vacum cleaner like normal.

  • @hunterharkins on second thought, I think sucking it up into your moith is cooler. Instead of sucking it, wouldnt it make more sense to use some compressed air?

  • @billymayer1000 Compressed Air is a good Idea as well, I just dont have any cans laying around, or an air compressor.

  • @hunterharkins how strong of a vacuum would you need?

  • Get a vacum that has a tube, and get a plastic bag, and straw. poke a small hole in the center of the bag, smaller then the straw, and then push the straw through that hole, keeping the hole air tight around the straw. stick one end of the straw in through the vacum tube, the bag should cover the vacum tube, so that all the sucking power is through the straw. Pinch the open end of the straw, it will hold together, creating a very strong thin vacum that will fit inside all the Knives grooves

  • the music is from the series macgeiver?

  • What website did you get that knife sharpener from

  • or olive oil, but i think that's a little bad for your SAK.

  • you have to use victorinox oil cause if you use normal oil and you use it for food... PS. Famous last words; It's not poisonous...

  • Do you have to clean it?

  • perhaps it's time for me to clean my huntsman after years of using it in the fields.

    good vid. tks.

  • mcgyver rocks :D

  • I use a small paintbrush and Bisley gun oil...

  • Nice use of the TOOTH PICK :)

  • Great video...thanks man!

  • The music helped me clean my knife, sharpen it, and build a gauss gun.

  • @HMRMike Gauss gun?? Please elaborate.

  • Excuse me but can I oil my vicotinox knife with olive oil or wd- 40 or something else coz I dont have accses to victorinox oil?

  • @xXxgenessisxXx

Can you use oilve oil? I guess you can because I oil I use it on all my "working" knives and have never had an issue with it. I tend to cut food at least some of the time with them and so dont like machine oil near the blade. I suspect that you need to oil more often then synthetic but i do mine 2x a year and no probs.

As kid had a SAK i FOUND in a mud puddle and i NEVER EVER oiled or cleaned it- worked for years until I re- lost it.

  • @xXxgenessisxXx I think there shouldn't be a problem with using these oils.

  • @xXxgenessisxXx

    Hi, friend!

wd-40 is toxic. Use a bit of light machine oil instead. Olive oil is not good at all, becouse it is prone to evaporate. It will be gone in 1-2 weeks. Hope this helped.

  • @xXxgenessisxXx WD40 is fine, but be forewarned that it will dry and "gunk up" over time, so you will have to clean it more frequently.

I'm not sure about the Olive oil, but personally, I would stick with synthetic oils.

  • is it ok to clean my swiss army knife with rubbing alcohol?

  • is the sharpener good coz i'm thinking of buying one and i want to know if it is a good choice. btw great vid :-) helped alot :-)

  • man.. open the blades or close them. i was just waiting for the big blade to snap on your fingers. i know, i know.. you know how to keep the blades of your bodyparts, but some 13 y.o. watching this video may not. what's more - its good to wet the sharpener before using it.

    VIEWERS!

look somewhere else to learn how to sharpen your knives!

This video is really funny! It has Iron Man in it!

  • Thanks! My 1988 Victorinox Ranger (w/ Camping Insignia) needed some TLC.

  • So 15 degrees per side making a 30 degree edge???

  • SHIBBY!!!!!!!!! is that the macgiver theme song?

  • i found an old rusted up swiss type (meaning multiple tools but not really swiss) soviet knife in my grandpas shack, its pretty rusted up? does anyone know how to fully dismantle a knife of this type?? There are ony four things in it? a blade a hook blade,a fork and a bottle opener, the build of the knife is the same as a victorinox except its not stainless steel and i took off the plastic covers and im planning on making new ones, however i want to fully rid the knife of rust therefore

  • @UkrainianShinobi i need to dismantle but im afraid that i might damage it so i need someone to tell me how to do it,id be very thanful to get an answer))))))

  • ye clean knife with tooth pick and then clean you tooth with samo tooth pick, How clever?!

  • Is this the Tinker?

  • how about rem oil?

  • I really like the way you care about your knife.

  • bench stones are better than those things you drag the blade through.

  • @Giblinono As he said in the video, if you don't have this sharpener keep the angle at 15 degrees referring to a bench stone.

  • I dnt know about using the toothpick I put in my mouth for the cleaning I use a bristle with some wd40 and keyboard cleaning sprays work real good also

  • i have it

  • It won't rust?

  • Hi, I'd like to request help. The thumb lock on my knife seems to be loose, I'm not quite sure if it's meant to be that way or there's something wrong with it. Can anyone shed some light on the matter? Thank you, anyone who answers my question.

  • Great Video buddy.....what I use to clean the lint and dirt from my pocket knife is compressed air (the kind you get in a pressurized can used to clean electronic equipment).

WARNING!!!!!!!! Use Safety Glasses when spraying the inside of your pocket knife with the compressed air as you may have particulates embed into your eyes, or lids.

  • Good vid but the music is fucking annoying

  • Why do I feel like I'm about to watch an 80s show when this video is on?

  • @foodlovingpig Because MacGyver can do anything.

  • SOMEBODY RESPOND is my victorinox hunter waterproof

  • @colemad21 all victorinox steel is stainless...

  • Thank you, very educational video.

  • I use ballistol to oil my (swiss army) knifes, I like this more than the victorinox oil..;)

  • I have the knife right under the swiss champ in gadgets... damn this will take long.

  • @RYARH I have a champ that I have had since 2004 and the cleaning process takes a couple hours, but the knife looks the way it did 7 years ago!!

  • Wow...im VERY impressed! I enjoyed the video and you just gained a subscriber! :) Keep up the Good Work!!

  • good. =D. I used this on my huntsman.

  • go mcgyver!!!!

  • stick the knife in the dishwasher with the paint brushes, they come out brand spanking new. Top tip. dont let the misses or yur mum catch you doing this.

  • ew I would NOT clean your knife like that if you use the tooth pick for your mouth like I do

  • @EFSOutdoors

Ah, but do you clean the toothpick before you put it back in its slot? 'Cause otherwise imagine the bacteria growing in there...

  • @CanItAlready of course! :-)

  • @EFSOutdoors well, I don't use toothpick for my mouth, but for many different things :)

  • its funny, the only thing that i have cut myself on my swissarmy knife was the can-opener. :P

  • You save it... good work...

  • could i use this process without using the oil?

  • How cost the victorinox sharpener please ? (sorry for bad english, i'm french ;) )

  • @Watashi1997 It costs about 9 EUR :-)

  • maguyver

  • do you clean yours daily???

  • does macgyver carry a tinker??

  • where'd you get that sharpener

  • yea, you clean it with your toothpick, and then clean your teeth with it straight away...mad. you fucking ferel cunt. and your not ment to stick it in water, it clogs up the gears/ springs (or whatever) use oil or something it says in the booklet

  • @GOLDDEAGS NO NO NO It says if it is rough on the opening then open and close the parts in warm water. If it continues then oil it

  • @GOLDDEAGS it actually says "extend each implement halfway and apply a few drops of oil at the base of each implement. for implement that do not move easily open and close a few times in warm water, then dry and oil".

  • this music is too hardcore

  • @vaniboy :D sorry...

  • Is it possible to sharpen your knife against another knifes flat side?

  • Great movie ! Polish victorinox portals and shops recommend it ! Professional tutorial how to take care of a pocket knife. It really helped me...And I think your English is good :)

  • @Kachsher oh, Thank you :-))

  • cute dog =)

  • lol the music!!!

  • Something about the MacGyver intro...the fact that your knife is a Tinker, and the fact that you make do with what you have for cleaning/ maintaining your knife tells me you are a MacGyver fan.

Another little "Mac-Style" knife trick: I sharpen my SAK's using a coffee mug. The bottom has unglazed ceramic, it gets a good edge.

  • @bluesy92 Yea, I´m MacGyver´s fan (well R.D.Anderson´s fan) :) and thanks for tip :)

  • @84548 what days does macgyver come on and what time and what channel??

  • Thanks. Video Utilities.

  • ... And do not forget the oil on the pivot of the scissors;)

  • @davideeve The knife he was showing was a Tinker...it has no scissors O.o

  • I thought that my cell phone was going off when Baba O'Reily came on. The Who and Swiss Army knives- some of my favorite things indeed!

  • I have a eleven tool knife thats from like the nineties... its really nice, but jammed

  • @NilsKills Have you ever heard of penetrant spray? It's used alot in the automotive industry to remove rusted bolts because it will seep into anything it can...if you spray your knife with it, it should get between the blades. It will also act as a lubricant for a while. Try PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench, it should make the knife open.

  • MacGyver!!!

  • is that the super tinker

  • @guitargamer57 The one at the beginning is, the one he was cleaning was the regular Tinker.

  • baba o' riely :]

you have a good taste in music mah friend

  • Yes, there is band of brothers music too :)

  • Gonna be honest here...my knives are heavily abused. I lubricate them with penetrant spray (PB Blaster and Liquid Wrench) and sharpen them with a coffee mug.

  • good video, take care

  • you spelled sak wrong

  • I know :-/ :)

  • i have to oil open and close and sharpen my huge Swisschamp XAVT

    D:

  • your dog is very cute =)

  • @phili676 thank you... she is :-)

  • battlefield 2 music?

  • yes :) my favourite game for long time :

  • @fake1009 no; its macgyver!

  • @fake1009 No silly it's MacGyver music!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for the video, now my Knife moves more flawlesly.

  • I was thinking about this video today and decided to look at it again.

I love the orange colored Dog--Kilee was the name right?

    Take care.

  • Very nice video, but the music is horrible ;)

  • @PS3Gaming5 I know :D but thx :)

  • good word man

  • Great video! I find it useful to use compressed air to blow out the lint etc. For sharpening, I use the Lansky set with 20° angle. Works quite nice.

    Victorinoxes are awesome.

  • @Schmidt54 Thank you for sharing your experience :)

  • You must love your victorinox!

  • you can totally restore those plastic shields with a rag with some toothpaste.

for the bigger scratches add some alcohol.

  • Love the music. FYI, saws can be sharpened with the correctly sized (i.e. very small) triangular shaped, fine tooth file.

  • @wcropp1 Guess I should have mentioned, push (don't pull) the file towards the saw, with the angle of the file matching the angle the tooth was cut at.

  • Nice video, cool dog ;)

    regards from germany

  • i have the smith's two step knife sharpener. It works great on swissarmy knives. It is $3 at walmart. Nice video 5/5.

  • Your making it hard on yourself you can get it alot cleaner faster with the use of brake cleaner it will clean all the stuff out of it and no need to dry it will do that on its own in only a few minutes.

  • Very nicely done. No language, just visuals. That way everyone can understand what you're doing!

  • When I was 9 I inherited an US Paratroopers knife from my uncle, it vanished shortly after my parents found out ;(

  • can you lubricate using furniture polish spray?

  • gooood job , Brivooo

  • awesome vid

  • i have the huntsman

  • the hiker is exactly the same as the huntsman the only tool dat is diferent on huntsman is the cork screw and on hiker there is a phillips head screwdriver

  • see that victorinox knife u got is that the hiker??

  • Good video! I never took care of my SAKs but now I will use some of your tricks.

  • hi do you know how to sharpen a victorinox saw blade

  • Hi. The saw is sharpened by laser technology, It should stay sharp for very long time (according to frequency of using) I wouldn't say there is a easy way for regular user to sharp this saw. I would ask an official distributor of Victorinox knives in my country. Or ask some professional cutler for help, but even if he manage to sharp this saw some way, it will never be the same as it came from the factory.

  • If my knife was precious to me, I would send it direct to Victorinox in Switzerland and ask them for changing the saw for new one. But you should definitely write them an e-mail and ask them if it's possible. I don't know if they want some charges for this, but I've heard a few time, that somebody send them their knives for repair after extreme damage and they send new one or completely repaired knife for free. (Same experience e.g. with Zippo products) Bye

  • @84548

    Hi,

I sent mine back to the factory about seven years ago (three years after purchuse) because of a sligthly rusted main blade. I got it back a few weeks later with new blade, cleaned to the bones, no charge, no questions asked.

This is the service a company who respects their products gives.

  • @Blackriton That's just Great! Thanks for sharing this experience. This company realy knows its customers best! This highlights Victorinox's prestige.

  • Great video! It would be good to have a video where you use the tools! There are some tools I would like to learn to use, like the reamer with sewing eye. Thanks!

    I have the Victorinox Explorer.

  • nicely done.

  • thx :)

  • ďakujem za radu

  • use an old tooth brush on the joints with a little simple green, open all blades, use a flat artist brush with simple green inside. Rinse with hot water, shake dry. Lube with a few drops of tri flow. wipe it all down, your done for six months. Oh, lansky sharpeners will give a razor edge if you follow the instructions, they have a groove in the holder perfect for the swiss blades, jerome

  • where can i buy that sharpener you used in the video?

  • Hi. please look for answer in previous comments.

  • how the fuck do u no whats right dickhead

  • because i know what im doing.. and how to do such things. i meant fourth btw. and im guessing your just as dumb and uneducated about knives as he is by replying to my comment in such a manner. im right. you and him are wrong. deal with it.

  • no my friend, you fail your the most useless, trollish wanker on the planet. he probably uses victorinox products because theyre some of the highest qaulity knife maintenence brands on the idiot. water will work, you dont need degreaser, and the amount of oil he used was pretty much spot on. now go away, you silly little man.

  • Nice vid man, i've got a Swisschamp for half a year now and i'm very happy with it. I just bought the sharpener you suggested and it works like a charm.

I would like to ask you if you know a way to easily sharpen the scissors or are the self-sharpening?

  • Hi, Well I would sharpen that scissors in the same way as knives blades are sharpened - in the right angle (I would say 20°). But only if its necessarily. But I'm sure that scissors remains sharp for long time. Bye

  • very good video.And lovely dog.5stars for you.thaks.

  • ahoj. nevadi ked pouzijem iný olej na olejovanie? a takisto brusku ? nemozem tym nôz poskod
