I was using a Mathews Outback 60#, Victory arrows (350), Magnus 85 grain broadheads, QAD drop away - full containment rest, Spot Hogg sight - 7 deadly pins.

Also, I'm thinking of going hunting, whats the difference between using bow and arrows or a rifle? (other than the obvious bullets) Which kind of hunting takes more skill, more time etc?

The deer are usually down in a few minutes after a good hit. Bow & arrow is obviously more challenging and you must get closer.

Try a buck, head facing toward you. I've heard a buck and doe decoy together with the doe bedded works well.

Season ends here the end of January for antlerless deer. Get at least 40 lbs. draw weight to kill a deer also check state regulations; that's the minimum for most states.

Buck decoys seem to work well pre-rut and early rut (Oct 25-Nov 10). A grazing doe (or buck) came be a confidence decoy anytime of the year, works well with ground blinds - taking the attention off the blind. A lone doe during peak rut could also be very effective.

With the steep angle I was trying to slip it right under the spine, I hit about 1/2 inch higher than I wanted to. The Magnus Buzzcut got the job done!
