  • Jimmy Barnes is very big in Australia as both a solo artist and a member of the critically acclaimed rock band Cold Chisel, known for songs such as "Khe Sanh" and "When the War is Over". Barnes is not to be confused with John Farnham, who is also big in Australia mainly as a solo artist, but he was in LRB for a while. In fact, the drummer from Chisel joined LRB for a couple of years in the mid 1980s. Back on topic, I-24 is a very nice drive through Chattanooga.

  • @cparkes92 Thanks, and thanks for the interesting background on Jimmy Barnes.

  • @Freewayjim You're welcome. Those truckers are away from home for days if not weeks on end.

  • the I-24 and US-27 north interchange looks awesome from the top of lookout mountain.

  • can"t fing song

  • love the dramatic special effects - got that 80s power ballad thing goin' on!

  • I was going to ask why the carriageways were swapped, but then I figured out that you reversed it.

  • Man, forget about Memphis. I like this instead.

  • The apartment complex across from Chilis on Gunbarrel RD, Hamilton Chase Apartments, is where I use to live. It's 2 seconds from the mall.

Our lease was up last month and my dad and I moved to Tampa. Then my mom, brother and grandmother is moving to Crystal River in late Sept. of this year.

    Great vid Jim!

  • Pretty part of the country.

  • Seeing the median cops right at the beginning of the video(where you did the reverse effect) was very amusing. I wonder if cops often set up speed traps along there.

Great video, as I remember this I-24 stretch very well, as one who always did vacations to Georgia as a kid, and still travels there every so often. Also enjoyed seeing I-75, as I don't think I've ever traveled on I-75 northeast of Chattanooga.

  • And the cops in the beginning I believe is Dade County Deputies.

  • the beginning of the video was like UK driving.

  • totally agree with the wibbly woobly stuff...his mannerisms are very Doctorish if you know what I mean. Still i will miss David. Not the style

  • who's david?

  • have a nice dinner so

  • We did!

  • Oh wow! Yeah you just missed my awesome road, by a few days! Great Video, listening to the music and seeing the trucks, kind of made me feel proud!! Thanks for the tribute!!

  • very good, freewayjim! always loved your videos! keep em coming, i love them!

  • intro .. im confused

  • It was an effect, it "flopped" the picture

  • that was a good job with that editing.. lol i was confused at first but i kinda figured it out with your non color segements you had in the video ... whats the name of your video editing program you use ?.. i think i should start using some titles around main intersections as you do ..

but all in all 5 out of 5 great effects .. amazing footage

  • Thank you!

I use Final Cut Express 4 for the Mac

  • i was confused in the beginning i thought you were driving on the left side of the road :) lol

  • Isn't that last exit the exit for the mall that's in Chattanooga?

I like the end with your son, I assume, on the truck.

  • Yes, Exit 4A and 5 will take you to the Hamilton Mall area.

Yes that is my son, about 3-4 years ago on my late Father in-law's truck in SC.

  • Oh, okay, I thought that was the Hamilton Mall area.

    Okay, cool picture.

  • Another interesting video! Thanks. :)
