Glad your PET scan came back ok. I have to have one this week because I have a tumor in my hip pelvic bone....and I'm only 32 yrs old. :( I hope it's nothing, but they are checking to see if it came from somewhere else and spread to my hip
As a precaution, I still get PET scans every 3 months for this first year of remission began. I had another PET scan last week, and I will find out the results tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
The best of luck to you this week as you have your scan!!! I pray that everything is ok with you!
I have Blue Cross insurance, and I pay about $291.09 for the scan, Blue Cross pays $1085.17 after $5500.00 is adjusted off by agreement between the hospital and Blue Cross.
My fingernails did the same thing too! I didn't ask my Doc about it but I thought it was because of the chemo. They've finally grown out now so my nails are all smooth...took a while though!
Anyway, hope your next scan results come back just as good :) (and i'm sure they will!)
Why are they leaving that port in, if the tests show no cancer? About the ridges in your nails, if you let your hair grow longer, I bet it would be wavy!!!!
During the first two years, stats show that cancer can more easly re-appear. I will keep the port just in case. The further I get from Sept. of '07 (my last Chemo), the better my chances get. I will always have to keep an eye on the situation.
Often, people with longer hair did note a change in texture or color of their hair after chemo.
I know that this is years past your last video....Congratulations.....I am so happy for you and your family.

70% chance, and yet you beat the odds. That's GREAT news. Great news. I'm so happy for you.

I am very lucky to have gotten to this point. I did not catch my cancer until it spread into my lymph nodes. I was well into stage three.
