  • It is a great suggestion. The next generation touchless trash can will be launched in March. You should be able to see a model that has battery compartment outside the trash can.

  • The batteries do need to be changed often. And the batteries are under the lid. So, instead of touching the top of a clean lid with your hands or stepping on a pedal with your feet you (the owner of a "touchless" trash bin) have to go into the trash to change the batteries. And, that's never clean. Especially, if its used in the kitchen where there's an abundance of organic wastes.

    Batteries should be on top and out of the trash. Or, at least it should use a retractable power cord.

  • So stupid, how much battery does it eat per year..... This can be made with your hand or your foot, and you Will save on the gym too.
