If you didn't see a spider, there probably wasn't one. Looks more like an infected hair follicle that formed a bit of cellulitis around the abscess. You said it was on your inner thigh? Your pants probably irritated the hair follicle until it got noticeable. Bet a culture would have come back as MRSA.

Guys you gotta remember spider bites are extremely painful depending on what spider bit you. Normal, sharp razors don't hurt when cutting, but when bitten by a spider, it hurts like hell.

Black widow bites make you feel very ill. It most likely a brown recluse or a hobo spider bite. Brown recluse bites can range from a small red spot to chronic narcolepsy of the flesh. It depends on the person, how reactive they are to the venom, how much venom was injected etc etc
