Often pickups r more aerodynamic with tailgate up, a swirl of air will exist in back, air from cab floats over this.
MPG is better with tailgate up.
Are these ford rangers?

they have the tail gate down so the create more down force over the rear wheels which creats more traction and that is something you cant have enough of in a drag racing ute. They are toyota hilux's
