I've seen Iced Earth 3 times, 1 with Ripper, hung out with Jon in the parking lot 2 of those...going to see them again here in Austin next week. Just won't be the same without Matt but he's a great guy, taking care of the family. Stu from what I've heard could be the best replacement out there. At least Iced Earth moves on, love all the memories and the new stuff.

I like Owens and I think that Stu is good for Iced Earth but not one person on earth can replace Matt Barlow in Iced Earth. When u listen to the songs he recorded the voice and music complimented each other so well that they become an unbreakable force. I hope he makes it back. I dont care how long it takes!

Matthew Bean Barlow. He always reminded me of Sean Bean (looks), especially in Lord Of The Rings. What a great vocalist, started listening to them in 1996. Without Barlow i don't think i can listen to them anymore. ;o( R.I.P Iced Earth.

There was this huge American guy standing next to me, 1.9 meter, around 45 years old, tatoos everywhere, long blond hair, Viking beard... the guy was crying like a little girl.

That was a very emotional moment and wether you like Iced Earth or not, if you where there that day you'd be at least struggling against your tears.

On the brighter side, I'm always impressed by how Loyal and Grateful Metalheads are, look at them saluting Matt.

To be honest my favourite albums are Iced Earth, Night of the Stormrider and The Glorious Burden (i.e. albums without Barlow) however I still very much respect his contribution to the band and amazing vocal talents.
