second half of this album is so much better than the first; this, breathe underwater, julien, never ending why, bright lights, speak in tongues, happy you're gone are some of their best songs

title track, the other lead single, and devil in the details are pretty much the worst on there

I just really started getting in to Placebo. I listen to bands like Silverchair, Radiohead, Tool, Third Eye Blind, Smashing Pumpkins, etc (lots of 90s alt rock bands). It's refreshing to hear an alt rock band that still has a unique sound and awesome musicianship all the way around. Really a top notch band.

yeah on FP especially. magnified was a lot more acid. and cobain sure as hell was, but as far as i know ken was clean. ken's solo work is amazing.

failure is not a better band than placebo. i've listened to failure and they're failures. they sound like wannabe grunge and i don't like them. i think that placebo has a more unique style.

(all of this is my opinion and i respect your love for failure......sorry if i came on a bit strong and sounded harsh).
