  • holy shit, this song live, good times! VH come to Brazil, please.

  • agreed, the best "vh" tunes are the ones never heard on radio, but push comes to shove is from fair warning.

  • the guitar equipment sound absolutely terrible literally like just noise and the singing is monotone as shit...this is absolutely terrible i really dont see why people kiss this band's ass so much.

  • yeah , the sound was orrible but caused of a bad mixer of sound.

all the van halen's crew was on holiday.. so they used other technicians surely musically idiots !

  • Only one Wolfgang and that was Mozart. Eddie has balls. Weres the talent?

  • @scubasteve462 Still better than naming him Adolf or Hannibal, no?

  • Backing vocals are beautiful. That's what set Van Halen apart from other heavy bands. Those back up vocals gave them such a different vibe.

  • Micheal Anthony killing it as usual.

  • 2:15 "double-up" .-)

  • such a beautiful tune _ this is why this band is magic, songwriting like this

  • Dave's voice is Irreplaceable, the voice of VH period !!

  • thanks tj

  • i just bought the van halen book neil zlozower released and i found a close up of the yellow double neck. i didnt know the button like objects at the bottom were actually the tuning pegs! explains a lot

  • Why is he playing that double neck?

  • @Schecter725 Probably just for the show just like how jimmy page played his during stairway when in studio he payed his fender for most of the song and used just a separate 12 string in other parts plus it is easier to have a 6 string and a 12 string on one instrument.

  • @Schecter725 because he can...

  • @Schecter725 The rhythm guitar on "Secrets" is 12 string electric. In fact, Eddie used a Gibson doubleneck for the studio version. So, yeah, it's for show, but the 12 string makes a BIG difference in this song.

  • This is probably my favorite EVH solo, love it! Very holdsworth..

  • I love the back up vocals on this one...AAAAhhhhhhh!....AAAAhhhhhh!...AAAhhhhhh!...it's so signature VH and sounds great live!!!

  • One of my very favorite VH songs and when they did it live it was even better...it was the song that we could all sit down and smoke a joint to n chill till the next song and then were back up on our feet again with our fists back in the air banging our heads like mad all over again....good times...very very good times!!!

  • fuckin catalina wine mixer.

  • Great song, sounds like shit live tho

  • @scorpinzona Sorry Dude Van Halen didn't sound bad at all! I was there that summer of 1983 This live recording sucks....most of all the live recording that I have heard pretty much suck big time they don't do justice for Van Halen..You had to be there. Sorry Dude....

  • @AndyReynoso90650 I WAS there lol

  • ..pwiddy...

  • does anyone have this full length concert on dvd, I want.

  • PUT YOUR HANDS UP HERE --- I SAY !!

  • the best song on diver down on my opinion

  • This is VH's best "slow" song. Great lyrics, great guitar playing, great everything.

  • naw, he does not follow the melody....VH lover, but this stinks in my opinion.

Pay 50 bucks, and he does not sing the song.

thats why I Cant Drive 55 was in ways, a better era for VH. In terms of what they were trying to achieve, top 40. Raunchy VH left with Dave, good or bad.

  • Probably one of the sickest combination of drums and guitar ever, this is just a great song all the away around

  • I wonder if it wasn't cause it was esentially the DD tour if they would have even played this one live?

  • Van Halen hahahha...this asshole talking aginst strummer???joe is legend, working class hero....and this asshole is only one egoistick sick man full of alcohol..he took milion dollar for nothing...world is one sick place,,and just look at him....hahahha...joe forewer

  • @SuperGrunf

C'mon man relax.. it's only RnR ;) Every one's cool... Ask Joe what he thinks of Eddie.. I'm sure you'd be surprised. Eddie carved the way man...and there still hasn't been one like him since... he inspired Radny, who inspired Zakk who inspired Dimebag... who inspired... and so on... and they all praise Eddie... so c'mon, chill, it's all good ;)

  • @motmr strummer is more then R,n,R...Strummer is God my friend, dont forget that:)!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @SuperGrunf

Hmm.. dunno... maybe I'll forget that... maybe not.... let's see... uh! I forgot it!! XD

But it's nice to see how much love that dude, good on you! :D Rock on!

  • @motmr but,,nice to meet you...rock on

  • One of their little known tunes! Love it!

  • @aBevofan

Yeah it goes along with "When Push Comes to Shove" from W. & C.F. I love those "unknown" tunes, VH is so much more sophisticated than people give 'em credit for. Live... they just liked to party... Pow-Wow. The records are perfect though. No one ever played Hard Rock that Brown and Lively. Almost like a Jazz band. Strange that so many "Rockers" don't get the Zen of Van Halen.

  • @motmr push come to show was from Fair Warning not women and children first

  • @casualguitarplayer

    UH OH! XD

You're totally Right Dude!! Had a Drink or two... Sorry for spreading misinformation :))) Never the less... on W.&C.F., there would be "Could This Be Magic?"... just like "Big Bad Bill" & "Full Bug" from Diver Down, or "Girl Gone Bad" & "Top Jimmy" from 1984. Love that stuff... I can listen to those songs over and over again in opposite to "Unchained" or "Ain't Talking 'bout Love"... yeah those are good, but I like the "Unknowns" better, they are more personal

  • @motmr push comes to shove is off of fair warning lol

  • @motmr Push Comes To Shove is from Fair Warning dude

  • @motmr "when push comes to shove" is from fair warning

  • @motmr Well put =)

  • They were awesome, the worst tone ever though.

  • @SKejtzazivot early experiments with 12 string. Ya...that ole Kramer does sound thin. He built a better 12 string that he called "Tele-Del-Ray". A mutation of a Tesco Del ray 12 string neck on a tele body (Cabo Wabo, Poundcake and Seventh Seal). Alex is drunk and getting lost after every Simmonds electric drum fill...lol!

  • brilliant!!
