In structured C programming the only way a client could change data was it if was declared 'extern.' In OO-programming the client can change data if the implementer forgets to declare his data to be private. The latter is more likely to happen. That's my take on it.
Python is a scripting language very easy to use, indentation is its sintax primary rule, of course if someone wants to be more professional C is the way to go, its a small language and has many tricks along the way. Its a shame has it been left behind except in linux since the kernel is built upon it, its the mother of languages.basics decision, cycles, functions, threads, forks, sockets, the rest is small things (malloc, realoc, calloc memcp, strings, etc)
Once again, I have to say Standford is the best, for having the courage to pubicly teach online and on youtube such up to date themes. And Also Python rules, and its popularity is true, due to their value.
@sergio1020881 Python rules? I think Python sucks! It is prone to bugs though being an Object Oriented Language. The only thing I admire in Python is that it'is an Open Source. The lecture is very uninteresting to follow. I hope I can get something better after being referred to view this particular video for help. I lost enthusiasm for the teaching though.

not sure how 'object oriented language' makes something prone to bugs :p bad coding makes code prone to bugs... also, alcohol.
