  • Walley not pickeral. pickeral is the smallest member in the same family as pike. walley is a sander like the sauger. i am canadian and this is a pet peave of mine. p.s this is adorable.

  • @GusgusA1 LOL, I agree with you, and it's a pet peave of mine too. However, I've just come to accept that these people are wrong. They don't really care what I think they should call the fish. It's gotten to the point where I call them whatever the people I'm fishing with call them. Not really any different than calling a Spring a Tyee or a King.

    Tks for commenting :-)

  • Great job! Keep the fishing heritage by teaching youth!

  • my son reacted the same way,he now 5 cute

  • PICKEREL IS CORRECT

  • @Gustavochaci

    Couple things.

    1. You might want to "Google" that, just for giggles.

    2. There is no listing in the Fishing Synopsis for Pickerel in this entire region, only Walleye (With a picture actually).

From the Canadian Encyclopedia. "In parts of Canada, the name (Pickerel) is applied, erroneously, to the WALLEYE."

So, I guess it depends on where you're from.

    Tks for watching

Just gotta point out that even a 3-year old unassisted can bring in a decent walleye. Her only problem was she got startled looking at it, They hit good but then come in like a stick.. such a boring BORING fish. They are tasty, though!
