I just want to say, yes Vanessa is AMAZING. But, seriously, what other comments are you going to get on a VC video? Taylor and Vanessa are both great artists. It's not entirely true that Taylor's songs don't have meaning. Her songs just have a younger spirit, and they're sort of created on fun. Vanessa is much deeper in her music, because she is a more serious artist. They both have great voices, as well. It all depends on what you like, and what you're in the mood for.

The piano in the beginning is gorgeous. Vanessa Carlton is an amazing singer, with so much talent for both piano playing and singing. I feel that she deserves to be more famous than she is. That being said, however, the selfish part of me enjoys having an artist that isn't as mainstream as others. And I feel like she would rather be popular in the particular stream of people, rather than a full-blown pop-star. That doesn't seem like the type of person she is.

I love this song and I think Vanessa is a phonomenal artist. But that is the thing: She is an artist. She has a very unique style and beautiful songs with profound meaning. There is nothing wrong with Miley Cyrus or other teenage singers simply because there are a lot of teenagers out there who enjoy those types of songs, they're fun. Vanessa has a style that speaks to more mature minds, those who want to feel something when they're listening to a song, who want to be able to relate to it.

Sometimes the truth is never spoken out as much. Unlike most songs today Vanessa has true value and doesn't use the profanity and sexual stuff like most other singers who are shown a lot more do. I find that sad too, but hey, it's the people who rather have the dirty stuff that gets left out in quite a bit. That's what I like about people like her, it makes me forget about people who make this world pathetic, and if it isn't for people like her this world would be in the dumps.

What I love most about Vanessa Carlton's music, especially in this album, is how personal it seems, as if she's speaking straight from her heart, very raw but polished, and in every song it seems as if she's telling a bit more of her own personal story. there's always a line or two in particular that I latch on to and identify with, even sometimes the whole song. Amazing artist, I hope she has a new album soon. ^^

Even though they're sometimes so deep you have to look really hard to find what they're about, I love that in her songs we can all find our own meaning. A true poet and an amazing composer, when someone asks me who my favourite singer is I love the confused look on their face as they try to figure out who she is.
