@NlCNOK Can you get hurt? That is unlikely. Can I damage my phone? The answer is yes. Although it would surprise me if you did. This is very safe as long as you're careful. Keep moisture away from the phone when it's open. Take your time and examine all the parts.

This will allow you to have free internet as well as calls and texts. Although I have encountered some problems with picture and video messages. It can not be reversed easily. Although I'm not sure why you would want to.

@jaymantube No you don't need a sim card. Most of the components you're dealing with are located near the top of the phone (besides the battery).

@jaymantube I have only done this with Verizon. It let's you use the phone and service but be outside of their system. They can't track your information and thus have no way of denying you service. The service provider is fairly irrelevant, I say fairly because from what I understand T-mobile has caught on to this and placed countermeasures to prevent it. T-mobile is the only provider I know of to have done this. All other providers are susceptible to this modification.
