  • video sucks

  • While most attention has been paid to the tsunami, the role of the earthquake in damaging Fukushima Daiichi has not been subjected to the same scrutiny, yet. The cracks in concrete outside of Unit 2 -- which allowed extremely radioactive water to flow into the Pacific -- were likely caused by an earthquake. Building on higher ground or a constructing a higher seawall wouldn't address the dangers from another earthquake.

  • They just needed to build a defensive well against the water

  • @ya6655

A defensive well? How is a well going to help?!

  • if they had built it on higher ground there would be no problem....nuclear power plants are great thing when they are under control

  • @baretic Yeah, but they need to be build close to water for cooling... Maybe they didnt have another place for it.

  • @LordShigi yes, my region has thermal power station close to the sea for same reason....

but Japan had a huge tsunami in 1896! (almost every 100 years!!! )

So it is too dangerous for a nuclear power plant on the Pacific coast!
