The stupidity at its zenith is where the refs didn't even bother to "find" who had possession of the ball ! Which was in the Oklahoma players hands running around in plain sight 10-20yards behind the scrum....So, even if it had been touched first by an Oklahoma player (which it wasn't) it was picked up by the Oklahoma player! And for this as well as other reasons....I believe Nike/Oregon to be "The Whore Of Babylon"! (or at least the Tiger...)

Actually, if it weren't for several bad calls going against Oregon earlier in the game, it wouldn't have come down to this. There was the Peterson fumble inside his own 20 that was ruled down, as well as the huge play on 3rd-and-10 after the play clock had expired (and received 6 free yards to boot; Oklahoma scored a TD on the drive.)

there were more bad calls against the ducks this game than the sooners actually. this one was just the end of the game. if the game was officiated normally the ducks would have never needed to kick an onside. also oregon blocked your field goal. that was probably the ref's fault too

Mistakes do happen silent assin but this is called blatant and intentional manipulation of a game situation. The ref and oregon was only hoping it would be viewed by the rest of the world as a simple mistake. That being said, the ref was outed and the Sooners are BIG 12 Champs! Oregon went on to lose to Arizona.
