  • The JCM900 MKIV SL-X was all tube

  • @urentertainment Marshall amps from the 80's and 90's that had any sort of channel switching used solid state diode clipping for distortion; including the Jubilee amps. It wasn't until the JCM2000 series was released that Marshall used an extra preamp tube for added gain. The JCM2000 was the first channel switching Marshall to be truly all tube.

  • @murfdog19 Yea, you're right. JCM2000 was the first all-tube channel switching Marshall.

Diode clipping isn't a bad thing when combined with tubes though.

  • These amps don't sound too bad for having solid state distortion.

  • @murfdog19 theyre not solid state, its an all tube head, do some fucking research before you post a comment

  • @slash1128 Are you serious? Every Jerry's Kid knows that Marshall channel switching amps made before the JCM2000 series used solid state diode clipping to creat distortion. Maybe YOU should do some research before posting such an uninformed comment. You have Slash in your username, and you don't even know your shit....come on man!!!

  • @murfdog19

Murfdog you are correct about the solid state diode clipping in the jubilee...but it assisted gain rather than was the sole source of the amplfiers gain.

I'm a big Slash fan and I was a bit taken a back by this fact but the Jubilees do have that unique tone.

  • It really grooves!

  • Hehe Led Zeppelin eh?

Great tone. Any chance of a Led Zep cover? :D

  • nice video, man! If you EVER want to sell your 2555, please contact me.

  • marshall jubilee sounds great what are your amp settings ? and do you think the greenbacks are the best speakers compatible to this amp
