  • In the future, all data will be printed on towels and hang on clotheslines.

  • The real question is will it blend?

  • TAT now owned by Research In Motion!

My BlackBerry is going to be AMAZING real soon!

  • Two things annoy me about this (but otherwise I think it is awesome)

    1) When I draw my curtains, they do not get longer for a short length of time

and 2) I would want that effect to be a lot shorter for it still to be sweet.

  • Sure it looks cool but it will take you three times longer to get where you want to.

  • Terrible design, technically-speaking. Absurdly inefficient use of resources.

  • The effect of crumpled rug :) I have the impression that it wants to exit the screen. But it looks very good.

  • Looks cool but some of the effects (mainly the pages waving around for a few seconds every time you move them) seem like they would hinder the user experience.

  • It's a great UI, very very beautiful!

  • Hey MeeGo developers! Chuck Norris said he wants his prototype now!

  • If you have to use it intensively, I bet you will start to hate curtains, UI is nice looking tho.

  • looks like shower curtains :)

  • its impressive to have that on a phone but not so useful.. its slow and who need those animations anyway ? we want to have the fastest way to get things working

  • It's looks like guys from Nokia decide one day to take android UI design (previously token from apple) and mess it up to unusable state.

  • Compiz!

  • izi !!!

  • An important step towards true virtual reality. Practically useless as a feature.

  • "im sorry my finger doesn't move that slow" - - george William III

  • 不得不说TAT做的UI各个都是精品,包括这个MeeGo的,但之前Android版的貌似都没有见到在发售的手机上运行的....

  • Whatta UI :) Lovin' it...

  • Hey guys, Chuck Norris wants his UI back. He said he doesn't want to buy an iPad because its for "revolutionary" faggots.

  • i like it

  • this better be a capacitive touch screen, otherwise people wont buy it.

  • I dont know why but that drape animation is pissing me off.

  • YAY! Pretty..

  • its different. i wont say great, but too funky. nice for timepass. NOT for end users. way better than iphones/ipad interface. :P Its just a different and funny interface... best for KIDS to play with. :P

  • pretty nice, but useless :)

  • @GoronDavid I'm pretty sure most Windows 7/Vista users have Aero enabled on their machines. I challenge you to prove the opposite.

  • I got frustrated just watching this guy use this UI

  • but you'll need a battery as big as a truck to use this longer than a few hours ^^

  • Curtain UI?

  • i just jizzed in my pants, and i know pretty much everyone else did too.

  • Girly.

  • Impresionante!

Definitivamente las interfaces debería ser así en el futuro, no solo en dispositivos móviles.

    Felicitaciones al equipo TAT.

  • Hope it comes out and kills the stupid ipad.

  • @SirBootsalot stupid iPad. lol. like stupid drapes animation has anything to do with what it can do. iPad is amazing. get over it

  • Aside from having a clever cloth-like animation, how is this any different from dragging and resizing windows? I don't see how this actually improves usability.

    James

  • there are 16 people who have disliked it must be from alien world which better ui then this and i am wattin for this tab and there will be a mobile manufacturer like Nokia Mobile will have this in them

  • This UI will keep me entertained for hours.

  • Way to waste CPU cycles there. I always wanted my 3Ghz machine feel like a 486.

  • RESPECT!!!!

  • This is the future

  • meh, form over function to the nth degree.

  • this can be something in the app store for users, but this sort of UI is not suitable for everyone.

  • The novelty will ware off in 15 minutes then become annoying and cumbersome.

  • iOS killer, oh wait, every OS is a iOS killer.

  • @Centribo says the person who likes nokia!

  • unbelievable

We want reactivity, not asthonishing effect. This is for apple user...

  • caralho q foda.

  • This UI is fancy, it's cool but it gets draggy over time. This is the most graphically beautiful way of setting aside usability. The biggest problem with this kind of UI is Suitability.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

  • @blazerart Your right... but I think you meant practicality no suitability.

  • @blazerart It's just a demo. Naturally in a demonstration video, they show off all the effects they can do.

If they ever bring this UI to a real device, it will be different, with only the useful effects.

  • It is amazing that this kind of graphic power now comes in things you can hold in the palm of your hand!

    Oh and... MeeGo FTW!

  • people get amazed with the most retarded things. i call them apple users.

  • @xZeeMx this

  • The whole industry all it does is copying the Apple UI team. Mac OS X had these kind of effects in 2000 already.

  • haters gonna hate

  • Looks Awesome

  • looks nice but its stupid ie not practical at all

  • One of the coolest UI's I've ever seen.

  • Imagin this – James Bond using this in his new phone. LOL.

  • Great work! You finally destroyed usability!

  • this is wasting battery life

  • nokia does not like this idea ui on their phone, like a ui for teenagers

  • OMG its mine just release it good work NOKIA

  • ........ DO IT ALREADY!!

  • I think you have missed TAT's business model - it is to sell to businesses like Samsung, Motorola, etc and these guys are using the technology powering this, it is currently shipping in every 8th phone worldwide. What you're looking at is a demonstration of what the technology can do, as well as inpiration material for the same companies. If you want this in your hands - call Samsung, LGE, Acer, and their likes...

  • I keep on seeing TAT put things out like this....BUT they never release it to the public.... When I see this stuff I dont even get excited anymore, because the chances of it being released are slim. Very very very gorgeous UI, but I'll be excited when there's a release date.....til then....it's just another teaser

  • Ok. will you guys ever release it or what? What's the point of these demos if it will probably never be released?

  • @matrix2004 Man I so agree with you. At least SPB is living up to it....

  • alright, when can i have it?

  • Another one of your gorgeous concept UIs which will never end up in real devices. This is why you lost the Android contract to Cooliris who will be designing the Gingerbread UI.... it's such a shame...

  • For every person that calls something like this "fun" or "cool" there is another that thinks it's "dumb" or "pointless."

  • I think it is just a matter of foresight. The cloth type effects would look great the first few times. Then they would get annoying - providing the perception that you were waiting for the cool effect to finish just to get something done. Even if the animation timing is the same with or without the effect, would still provide the perception that it was preventing progressing.

  • @HokiesACC I'm one of those, having a smooth UI with nice transitions that make sense is one thing but completely overdoing is another.

This is completely overdoing the UI.

  • Comment removed

  • awesome! something fun and different. looks very smooth.

  • @gofightlose "fun"

  • i will hang my self or jump off a building if that UI ever makes it to the end users...

  • @johnnieares93 one more suicide at foxconn isn't going to affect anyone

  • @johnnieares93 Why?

  • @perfect01011 because it wont happen

  • @johnnieares93 Make that 2

  • @johnnieares93 true, but theres no sense in not marveling at the tech in the same way one would appreciate a fine work of art
