@telectroscope... not only that but if one looks closely at the arguments given by Ram to Sita, they anticipate the annhilation of tribals quite similar to what is happening today ....and the daitya's destruction of property is quite similar to maoist resistance

Ram's explanation for continuing to hold on to weapons and to annihilate the "Rakshasas" / Demons = native population / uncivilized barbarians ... is the classic argument for colonisation and imperialist expansion.

If indeed the Central Asian Aryans settled in urban centres of North India while making gradual inroads into the Deccan; and in so doing encountered the earlier settlers of negroid genetic pool, then Ramayan counts as a mythologised record of the Aryan colonisation of India.
