  • Monkeys Go Home was Maurice Chevalier's final film. That might not have been the most dignified way to end a 60-year movie career.

I was a freshman in high school when Darkwing Duck premiered, and hence was too "old" for it, so I've never seen an episode. Maybe I should add it to my Netflix queue.

In the battle of early 60's Jesus movies, I prefer The Greatest Story Ever Told to King of Kings, though neither of them is very good.

I'm surprised Little Mermaid made it to TV so fast.

  • Good Video!

  • I work at the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure. XD It's amazing to see how much (and yet how little) it's changed over the past 19 years of operation. Thank you for posting this!

  • Well, you certainly answered my question (which was whether or not the "Honey, I Shrunk..." attraction was still there). It's sad that I've never been to WDW. I'll probably get there when I'm in my 30's, most likely, and as soon as the ticket taker grants me passage through the gate, I'll revert to the mentality of a 10-year-old LOL

  • at #12 what do you mean going down hill? wern't those movies GOOD? i never saw them but i heard they were great

  • The fact that they don't show anything like these anymore on the Disney Channel means that they "went downhill". That's what I meant.

  • oh ok yeah your right thanks for clearin it up :D

  • I agree, :D! Let Toon Disney(or rename the channel to something like Teen Disney), air the "Hannah" and "Wizards" and the Teen oriented stuff while let the Disney channel be kinda like the Hallmark Channel, airing family oriented things with all these nostalgia.

  • omg! i went to that Honey I Shrunk The Kids thing in Disney!! i rememeber the spiderweb and the slide!

  • That version of the Darkwing theme must have been the demo because I can actually make out the lyrics, the official version is very upbeat with an early 90s hip-hop vibe.

  • I never realized that South Pacific had homoerotic overtones.

It's interesting to note that they used to play Singin' In The Rain and Bringing Up Baby but now the oldest thing they'll play is the first Harry Potter.

  • I saw "Bringing Up Baby" through Netflix!

  • And "Flower Drum Song", too!

  • Sorry the quality isn't high enough, but I bet there'd be a better-qual version of the bumper (or eyecatch) with Mickey imprinting his hands with the logo on the clay.

    Again, RIP, Wayne Allwine.

  • F**K YES!!! The original Darkwing Duck promo that had the opening from That Sinking Feeling and then led into the original theme! I caught this numerous times (which only served to hype me up for when it finally aired). This is EPIC.

  • I would SOOO love to revisit the Honey, I shrunk the kids movie set adventure. Mostly because i missed out on going. :( Great Video! 5/5. Including the defunct video quality. Adds vintage to our lives. Thank you for saving this!!!!

  • I always wanted to go there, mostly thanks to watching this Dateline Disney thing on it so many times. It's still there, but it must have completely slipped my mind to visit it when I went to that park. It's one of those things that's probably best to experience as a kid anyway.

  • I remember seeing that "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" Disney Dateline when I was a child. And, kid, I don't think you WOULD want to live there.

Disney channel videos like this are just about the greatest thing ever.

  • ya the quality isn't so hot but it makes em look more vintage!
