@soumenb22 _ Then who is realised ? Whatever Tagore has given is not possible for a man to do in 1 life. The enormous work with each work having deep layers and human expression cannot be better.
This is such a wonderful tune. Sadly, I don't understand Bangla. Got a few words. Seemed like purane din ki katha bhool gaye, and that affects his 'praan'. Dunno if I got it right. Still, despite my lack of understanding, this is haunting.

@ayan116 Well rash opinions apart.. Uttam Kumar was a proficient actor which is justified by his popularity. Hemanta M. sang Tagore's songs without distorting them adding something extra. They strived for effectiveness not perfection. Their works are classics because in a different time people still seek them. Why be so rash if its not of "your preference"? Surely Mr. Ray wasn't as frail hearted as to faint so trivially without a reason. He definitely wouldn't have sided with your impetuity.

We are all growing old and we all have memories of those 'purano din'. But the poetry and simplicity of expression make this go beyond mere nostalgia. Why can't they do justice to RobindraSangeet in Bengali movies any more?
this world is full with murder , corruption. the ebngaly movie has been corrupt too so for the time being they can not do justice for our grat thinkers adn poets
Rabindranath was born i rich family ahe had no sorrow except his mother died very early age so far i know. But he was certainly not only a poet was also one of the greatest thinker who understood everything around him
koto sundor gan ar the peoducer fit the song so acurately with the situations amazing. Ant old day film i d id not felt it as i ahve felt on this fragment. excellent ,apurbo.
Though bengali are known for Tagore, still I feel, he has not been realised to the extent it should have been.

How could we forget about the days of old, alas, o the
Gaze of eyes the heart to heart how can we let it pass. For
One more time my dear friend, enter my heart. We’ll
Speak of joys and sorrows to enchant our hearts. We
Gathered flowers in the morn we swung upon a swing. We
Played a flute and sang along, beneath a flowering tree. A
-long the way we parted and we went to different parts. If
We should meet again dear friend let’s meet in our hearts.

We are all growing old and we all have memories of those 'purano din'. But the poetry and simplicity of expression make this go beyond mere nostalgia. Why can't they do justice to RobindraSangeet in Bengali movies any more?
dipteshsiliguri 3 years ago 8
this world is full with murder , corruption. the ebngaly movie has been corrupt too so for the time being they can not do justice for our grat thinkers adn poets
