I don't get how to do a tailslide. Whenever I do it, it doesn't launch me into the air, it just has the dolphin swim around on it's tail, and it falls back into the water, which messes my combos up

how do you use the stars to get higher?

do the starslide as short as possible... down to attach to the stars then up again to leave them.. this will speed you up

@captainf0x Hey captainf0x. I have an little "Issue". When i reach the stars with alot of speed and i hold my Down button i slide a start, but i'm not quick enough to press up. So i loose all my speed. How do you jump off the tailslide so fast?..

I have masterred how to turn the dolphin from a straight down angle with pluto at the climax point. The trick is to angle a bit off, you should still get a nice entry and start going at that angle. Then turn straight back up!

Do you have to keep holding acceleration (Up arrow) the whole time or not?

Depends on what you're doing.... I prefer to not hold the up arrow all the time down, becauso of the corkscrews... but there is a point when it's better to push the button down, you turn around a lot faster

try to get up in the sky with surfing ("tailslide").

you will get a much lower angle when you come down, ergo you have a bit more space left to turn the dolphin around at incredible speed=)

How you come so high with tailslide? When I made a first ''high'' jump and I come down and try to go up with tailslide, I hardly can reach firecracker..

When you get off a tailslide with low speed you won't come as high as if you just jump out of the water.

But when you've reached a high speed, your height will increase enormously with getting of a tailslide, and, whats far more important, your horizontal speed is much higher.

==> With a high horizontal speed you come to the first stars (at height of the moon), and do a starslide, and you will get incredibly high, especially if you can do multiple starslides higher up.

I usually get jammed between Uranus and Neptune (the two blue planets, as referred to in your vid), i guess it's because i jump off the Saturn slide too horizontally and i miss the slides at Uranus, then i go past Uranus but can't reach Neptune, then when i fall down i can't catch any slides on my way down and when i hit the water, i hit the seabed so quickly that i can't react in time, thus leaving me with 10m - 20m points in the end. How can i avoid this and get past Neptune?

How do you people always have starslides where you need them? I almost never find them (and I have a lot of horizontal movement)

Just press the down-key many times while you are flying and you recognize, that you are coming to the climax in the next few seconds.

This way you get all the possible coming stars over a large vertical area, and you can do a starslide and jump up again.

The other way, you have to be much more luckily to get some stars on an exact place you need them (your climax).

I do that, I even use both hands. When I actually have starslides, I usually get to pluto. But since I have to sped 30 seconds each game (on average) finding some at mars, I never have time for a second big jump. Sometimes I never see any at mars or the nebula (and I have good horizontal speed)

Together they are very strong: Come in a low angle to the surface. Press DOWN to tailslide - the most important thing is: the shorter your tailslide, the less speed you loose and the higher speed you get when leaving. Press DOWN to leave.

When you leave with a tailslide, your horizontal speed (H.S.) is very high.

With a high H.S., you do the same on the stars: Press DOWN to slide, and after a short moment press UP to jump.

Then the H.S. is converted to vertical speed, and you are very fast.
