They freaking screwed up the M60! No awesome sound, horrible irons, horrible acuracy, horribe everything compaired to the Blops M60. Sorry, but the pp90 sounds more like an M60 than an M60E4!!!

I started with PKP, then tried others, but I'm starting to like the MG36, and hate on the 46. the 46 just has no power for an lmg, plus the belt fed reload. Bleck.

I will say that ACR and Scar-L are misplaced HK21 and RPK respectively. Both are forgotten LMGs wrongly in ARs

Its quite funny that the ONLY gun my friend likes (apart from AK47) is the MG36. It is basically just a fat G36C on heroin. I got it up to level 31 (how I don't know) and the thermal+grip glitch made the gun the best weapon I had. You have to persevere to get the advantages. The ROF reduction glitch isn't an issue as the recoil is reduced even further and the shots are pretty powerful anyway. That is the ONLY reason you would use it.

An uncanny combination I used briefly with the L86/MG36 is this:

Suppressor

-Sleight of Hand

-Quick Draw

-Stalker

It felts like the biggest change to MW3 in regards to gun mechanics. try it out if you can get to Speed on a LMG. This is what got me GOLD on my MG36.

oh how i love the l86. i loved it in mw2 and i love it now. i wish that they would have given it the susat scope insteade of the normal acog. for those of you that dont know, the l86 is british and they use the susat scope. if you wanna see what it looks like you ca put it on the l86 in mw2, and the enfield and l96 in black ops. or just google it.

As some others have stated... It needs to be noted that the Thermal Scope turns the L86 into a heavy MP7. That grip makes the MG36 fire as fast as the M60 and that the L86, MG36, and MK46 ALL FIRE AT THE SAME RATE - 715 rounds per minute.

I would've liked to see something about the rapid fire attachments on some of these guns as well - which it works best with at least.

It's pretty misleading to say Blind Eye is the best 1st perk for all the guns... Since when don't you need SoH with a belt...

Two important things you missed - MG36 gets a RoF reduction with the grip, so put Kick on it instead of two attachments.

And the Thermal gets rid of the GunKick on the L86, making it more accurate and makes the visual recoil almost non existent.

I used Stalker with the PKP and loved it. The best spot is the slight hill that runs down into the meat grinder. I was walking around and mowing them down as they came. Stalker is a great choice. I even used it to effect on Dome. A combo of Recon, Stalker and PKP was deadly on the game's most hectic map

-Grip supposedly lowers RoF (not sure if it's been patched)

-Impact proficiency supposedly makes the LMGs have no damage drop-off.

-Less recoil when crouched/prone.

You didn't mention that when you crouch your recoil is lessened with the LMGS and it is near non-existant when prone.

Two things about the MG36, one is it has a stupid fast reload time for an LMG. Second is, unless they patched it the grip on the MG36 reduces the RoF by like 30 percent.

If you get use to the iron sights on the M60 then run the Grip and Kick on it. A 2 shot kill with laser accuracy. It's so awesome. =D

I like to use the L86 with Sleight of Hand, Quickdraw, and Stalker. I use the specialist killstreak and can play with the L86 just like an assault rifle.

A tip for everyone who sees this-

Most LMG's still stink with a SILENCER, but there is one that becomes a MONSTER with it.

The MK46 dominates with the Grip+Silencer combo due to not worrying about the drop off (due to 850+ RPM), and the big reason

NO MUZZLE FLASH!

Most LMGs suffer too much from the silencers drop off, but I urge you to try this combo, I thought I was crazy too.

I actually disagree with you on the mg36. It's my favourite LMG and the recoil is manageable over time, but I still use grip of course. And the irons are the best in my opinion and slap on impact proficiency (especially in team defender) and you can take out a whole team from outside a building :D

The m60 is nearly impossible to use if you don't have a dot sight or a holo sight. I'd say that the m60 has the WORST irons in the game. It's like looking at a WALL.

M60 <3. I got the Gold Camo on this baby.. so much fun to use.. I played THIS long with it just for that Gold camo but truthfully Amish, Rapid Fire is a bit of a guilty pleasure on the M60 or any LMGs. You spray a lot but have a lot of bullets to shoot but Daaaamn this is one of the things I had the most fun to do in this game. This and using my AA12 with Range and Extended Mags.

MK46 Ex Mags Rapid Fire, recoil is not a problem, just need to adjust to the way it moves.
