the one main f-ing exit is so small it could only fit 2 small ppl at once, hope no one i know died in there. it was actually the best nightclub in bangkok. don't understand why they didn't make a bigger door to such a big f-ing place

I was in this club a cupple of years ago and it already was a nightmare to just go to the toilets or upstairs to the bar. The stairs are too narrow, there is just one exit, the place is completely packed and the door is 2 meters wide. You should ask: WHERE WERE THE EMERGENCY EXITS? WHY WASNT THE FABRIC INFLAMABLE? WHAT ABOUT A FIRE SPRINKLING SYSTEM? PEOPLE SHOULD GO TO JAIL FOR LOOKING AWAY AND ALLOWING THIS!
We had a similar situation in Ireland nearly 30 years ago. The fire exits were chained shut to stop people letting friends in for free. No one went to jail then. One guy pulled a door open with his jeep. The rest remained locked.

the club didn't plan the fireworks. a couple of tourists were playing with fireworks inside and it shot up to the ceiling and started burning.

My condolences to everybody who lost a loved one! Very, very sad. But foreseeable! I was in this club a cupple of years ago and it already was a nightmare to just go to the toilets or upstairs to the bar. The stairs are too narrow, there is just one exit, the place is completely packed and the door is 2 meters wide. You should ask: WHERE WERE THE EMERGENCY EXITS? WHY WASNT THE FABRIC INFLAMABLE? WHAT ABOUT A FIRE SPRINKLING SYSTEM? PEOPLE SHOULD GO TO JAIL FOR LOOKING AWAY AND ALLOWING THIS!

We had a similar situation in Ireland nearly 30 years ago. The fire exits were chained shut to stop people letting friends in for free. No one went to jail then. One guy pulled a door open with his jeep. The rest remained locked.

Thank you for sharing. And this is horrible. So horrible. Santika is one of my favorites in Bangkok. I also know personally people who go there almost every weekend. And I cant remember seeing any exit signs inside the club.

but nonetheless, if you are a doctor, and i swear, ask anyone who is, just look at the video, the first thing i'm doing is checking on the fallen people, and you'll see NO ONE who is isn't already been checked or tended to be a paramedic / doctor / or nurse.
