...and this is not even the full scale hybrid rocket!
Imagine the sound of that piercing F1 engine, the rib cage melting sound of the EJ200 and that pulverising tectonic sound waves of that rocket. AWESOME!
Wing Commander please KortaGalathil! He actually said that they'd only spent about £4.5 million so far (saw him talking at RNAB Yeovilton, UK, yesterday) but I agree with you - much respect to him for agreeing to strap himself to it given how much power it'll have.
I went to a talk about this... and Richard Noble WAS THERE! :D I have his autograph on a Bloodhound poster >.> this is gonna be epic cool when its finished!
If I remember there was test footage of a rocket or a scale model on a rail and it hit a seagull >.<
Gotta say this car is immense, speaking to the guy who is doing the aerodynamics, it will reach orbit if set vertical and the main problem is preventing it from taking off atm. I think it's 6 million build cost for this piece of kit, and gotta say lotta respect to Mr Green (The pilot) for sitting in front of that thing.
@RStickMan22 haha listen to this typical, egotistical yank prick ranting on about something hes never acheived..just because you live in a country doesnt mean you achieved anything in your pathetic life.oh russia got there first by the way,,YOU SUCK and your lilly arses are STILL lagging behind britains record in the highest speed for a car so FUCK YOU lol
Makes you proud to be british...i guess only we could be that mental...i mean i'd give anything to be able to strap a rocket, a jet engine and a v12 to my back and blast along at 1000mph.
@RStickMan22 Hahahaha... wow, there really wasn't any reason for you to say that other than to attempt to counter your feelings of pathetic failure. Sour grapes kid?
The lunar landings (orchestrated by a German) showed that with good engineers and an infinite budget you can do a lot with pretty basic 1950s technology.
It was admirable that the USA had the commitment to go through with it, even if it was intimately linked to cold war posturing.
This project doesn't have a huge economy supporting it, it is a small time operation undertaken by a university and some partners.
And you want to strap that, a jet, and a V12 motor to someones ass to see how fast they go??? I like you style, do whatever they wants and doesn't afraid of anyone.
