  • This video shows clearly that she was 17 in 2008(actually deng linlin was here too). Some people may say the coaches taught them to lie, but there are so many children and it's too early to tell who will be chosen, so no need for them to lie. They will not choose someone underage, and do many thing like "make" a new passport, this waste their time and money.

  • This doesn't prove anything. You say, "This is long before Yuyuan got good enough for there to be any motivation to fake her age." Yes the video itself states that they started grooming their 2008 gymnasts back in 2003, they knew back then which gymnasts looked promising. And they could have easily told the girls to lie about their ages way back then. I'm not saying for sure that they did, but this video is hardly proof that they DIDN'T lie.

  • @TinyAva93

Of course does this proof she was off age! Why would they make her lie back then? It's true they already started looking for promising gymnasts in 2003, but why would they make all the 300 girls of these training camps lie? This interview was part of an interview with MANY other girls of these camps, but only JYY & DLL were good enough in the end. But noone could have known that before.

  • @TinyAva93 does she look any younger than 12??? dumbass. what u think she's 6 here??

  • Subtle propaganda is more powerful and u.s. media is very very good at it! They're powerful and sophisticated, and they can brainwash some American information consumers very easily.

  • I disagree that they are underage. I'm not Chinese , I'm Ukrainian-Canadian :). But, There is a possibility for some girls put into higher level gymnastics. In China, for the Olympics, selections were started as early as 2003. I think they are of age. I read somewhere that the ENTIRE team was underage! What about Cheng Fei? Li ShanShan? They look of age! I know that only 3 girls were suspected yo be underage. The accusations against them are ridiculous! Apparently some blogger has proof that He

  • They are underage !!!!!! it is no joke!!!!!

  • @mizzydizzy73: You do have a fat standard.

  • Some media reporter should be fired, irrsponsible,

unfair report is really frustrating, Yuyuan is older then Shown Johnson

Deng LinLin is even older then Yuyuen, even she is smaller and shorter

Someone should filing a lawsuit against youtube (Google owned it) to claim $1 million dollars damage, ANY LAWER OUT HERE??, EMAIL ME, I'LL HELP TO FILING THE LAWSUIT

    these stupid media

  • For crying out loud get over it they won they were better

  • To Hellome1221: There have been so many american athelets who used performance enhanced drugs in worlds and olympics, so you're saying that we shouldn't trust any of them now? Please don't use your fat standard to judge Asians. In fact, yuanyuan Jiang is older than Shawn Johnson!

  • @russiangymfan I will second that statement

  • we americans (or at least myself and many others i know) do not have a "racist attitude". we simply have witnessed many Chinese gymnasts to be under aged. its quite simple really as to why we think the way we do. its hard to trust those who lie and cheat, even if its just once- it still raises suspicion. and i can tell you right now, it was NOT just once.

  • @hellome1221 Are serious? difficulty to trust those who lie and cheat coming from an American . Sorry but you would not know the truth if it slap you in the face . Ask for lying and cheating your country has no moral ground to speak

  • @hellome1221 u SHOULD CHECK ALL THE EVIDENSE BEFORE COMMENT.

DO THE RIGHT THING ! APPOLOGIZE, ITS NOT GOOD

  • She's already being training for almost 9 years... must have started when she was 3! Good gosh.

  • @MrKaiten Many of them start when they're about 3-4. :)

  • Jiang Yuyuan turned to 17 on November 1, 2008! It's very very hard for fat people to imagine and believe.

  • this video is just to show that yuyuan jiang was old enough to compete in beijing! This interview was in 2003 and she said she was 12!!!! 2008 she is 17!!!!

And it doesn´t make sense to fake her age when she wasn´t good enough to be in any team!!!

    So she was old enough!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • HAHA,She is really cute~

But now already was a mature girl=))))

  • claaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, pq' se re entendio lo qe dijo. psssssss

  • Is there a full version of this documentary/interview?

  • It ain't what solve. Every chinese gymnast were over 16 and He Kexin is the best of !!!!

yes Jiang YuYuan is good too all chinese olympic women gymnast were great

    HE KEXIN

    YANG YILIN

    JIANG YUYUAN

    DENG LINLIN

    LI SHANSHAN

    CHENG FEI

    中国加油

  • "Everyone is scared of what they don't understand. "

It's amazing that you can find such excuse for u.s. media's racist attitude and extreme bias toward Chinese gymnasts. If the media doe not understand others, don't you think it should make efforts to try to understand instead of making lies and spreading rumors and expresing hatred to others?

  • I've been reading QueenieQue's comments about Chinese gymnasts. You have been trying to find every possible execuse for American wrongdoings while ignoring facts, bashing Chinese, releasing racial hatred to other people, and behavouring like another American bad loser. Chinese gymnasts and fans have shown class, grace and great sportsmanship. Chinese gymnasts have won utmost respect from gymnastics fans all over the world! Americans should grew up and stop being like crying babies.

  • QueenieQue is a good example of bad losers. Don't you know that you are so absurd and ridiculous with your numerous Chinese bashing comments? Everybody loves and appreciates Chinese girls' performance at 2008 Olympics except for some American sore losers.

  • "this video alone is not hard-core evidence that Yuyuan is of age."

So what is your "hard-evidence"? Obviously, you've already formed your opinion that Jiang is underage. That's why you took anything that u.s. media said as "hard evidence" because you WANT to confirm your bias! Jiang is 17! She just celebrated her birthday on Nov. 1, 2008! There are a lot of evidence to approve this, but some sore losers refuse to believe the hard reality. Learn Chinese before you criticize other's English!

  • So did Jiang lie about her age on the off chance that she made it to Bejing in 2008.

In the longer film, not made for the internet, which is about elite Chinese gymnasts that are training for the national team, several of her 2008 team-mates were in the film and others gave their ages...

  • "American media is no more inherently racist than is every other nation's media. "

There are two differences:1. American media and some americans always self-claim that they are the fairest. 2.Compared with other nations, american media is more advanced in terms of propaganda and brain washing its citizens.

  • There are 5 hate groups formed by some Americans on Facebook. These hate groups use disgusting language attacking Cheng Fei. Having been brain washed by its racist media for years, Having been taught to hate Chinese and others who're "different", these people verbally release their deep hatred to an innocent great gymnast. Sad, isn't it? I feel sorry for these people. Cheng Fei and Chinese gymnasts of 08 Olympics will forever be respected by true fans all over the world!

  • That does make me sad. Cheng Fei is an amazing gymnast. These people are probably more angry about the fact that she won bronze on vault after falling (even though she had clearly harder vaults than Sacramone) than the fact that she is Chinese. American media is no more inherently racist than is every other nation's media. Everyone is scared of what they don't understand.

  • Quee...: You and some American sore grapes started this ugly thing by insulting Chinese girls and spreading underage rumors! Let me teach you an elementary lesson: respect should be mutual. People who don't know to respect others will not get respect from others. Everybody, every race, every culture is equal. Racism, cultural bias, arrogance are cancers that have caused all major problems and divisions among people and nations in the world.

  • You're right. Respect SHOULD be mutual. And racism goes both ways, you know. I cannot answer for those who first suspected the girls of being underage, nor am I sorry for critiquing performances, as I do for many gymnasts of all races. Practice what you preach.

  • A good comment for Que..:

"Since we seem to be voicing all that is possible without proof, how about the fact that BALCO Labs created a previously undetectable steroid that many U.S. athletes used during the last decade. Since the U.S. has already proven they are capable and willing (they did it in 2000), Michael Phelps obviously cheated his way to 8 gold medals in Beijing using a more advanced version of this steroid. It is certainly possible. But we'll find out the truth in ten years."

  • Queenieque: I think you're a fake Japanese, and you lack ability to logically present your argument. On one hand, you believe your media's brain washing preach that Chinese media is a propaganda machine. On the other hand, you cherry pick so-called "evidence" from a few Chinese media (Web site). What's your logic? Don't hide your deep bias and hatred to Chinese gymnasts. Did Chinese critize American gymnasts by accusing u.s. gov.'s Iraqi war? Bad loser!

  • History shows that Japan and China are such great friends.. NOT!

The Japanese are known to be deeply predjudiced against the Chinese too, as are Americans... In the same way the Russians and Romanians dislike each other a diss each others gymnasts with such venom.

  • ummm, no because her birthday is in Novemeber and she was still 16 at the Olympics

  • you only have to be at least 16 at the end of the year since olympics is held in august. Thanks to ItsNastiaFan101 for pointing that out to yayme42 and to others who do not know. so, that maybe they can stop saying the chinese gov't forged the documents.

  • watch the olympics again... u should've taped it

  • What evidence do you want QuenieQie? Media lies? Her looks? Guess? They're not abused as some west media tell you. Chinese gymnasts are well taken of, don't pretend that you like Jiang. Just remember, Jiang and her teammates have not been raised by big hamburgers, potapo chips, fries, soft drinks and many other junk foods! You should go to visit some junior high and high schools in China and other Asian countries to get some ideas. Please don't use your fat standard to judge others.

  • You apparently can't read or make a coherent argument. I didn't say she was abused, nor did I base my argument on the way she looks compared to Western gymnasts. I also never said she was stupid. You, I'm not so sure about. By the way, I'm half-Japanese, so your claims that I'm racist are ridiculous. I have no problem with the gymnasts, only with the government.

  • What can be more racist than this Queneque's remarks? So you think Chinese girl Yuyuan is stupid that she doesn't know her age? So you think your can tell her age only by guess, speculation and wishful thinking, or only because you're white? Your deep-rooted racism and bias, plus the impacts of your efficient propaganda machine's brain washing job over the years, have made you to write such racist remark! This interview happened long before Jiang was a potential Olympic gymnast by Chinese.

  • Firstly, I love Jiang Yuyuan. But this video is not proof that she's 16. She was taken from her parents to train at a very young age and may not even know when her actual birthday or year of birth is. It is common in the world of gymnastics (like with Kim Gwang Suk from North Korea) for ages to be falsified AT NO FAULT of the gymnast. I don't think anyone is blaming the Chinese gymnasts, just the government. That said, she is incredibly talented, albeit young.

  • Where are those people who question Jiang's age? Those sour grapes and bad losers?

  • translate this who under stands this any way

  • The reporter asked her how old she was, where she's from, how long she trains, and whether training was really difficult. Jiang says she's 12 and since she's already trained for so many years, she's not about to give up now, and she said she's confident she'd make the Beijing team in 2008.

  • Stop using your US viewpoint to judge how old Asian women are. They are on average 20 pounds lighter, and 10cm shorter.

  • Continued to YTsockAX:But in a speech on Nov. 3, 2007, in the central city of Wuhan, Liu Peng, director of general administration of sport for China, said: "The 13-year-old uneven-bar gymnast He Kexin, who defeated national team athlete Yang Yilin - she just won the bronze medal in the world championships - has demonstrated her ability."

  • From an online report? YOu believe that?! Oh please! Why be so damn gullible?! Research some more and you'll see an actual documentary from 2002 when Yang Yilin states she's 11; therefore, she'll be 16 this year.

As for He Kexin, if you even take time to research her story, she was later added to the Chinese gymnastic team when another gymnist got injured....

  • YOU DID! Read your post again! hahahah Way to overlook your own comment...

You say I'm indenial. Oh okay! Good one! Atleat I'm not one to be so damn gullible just because some internet document says this and that. Are aliens taking over the world, too?! Oh please! If you think about it, I'm more realistic to not base my opinion by being superficial. Just because someone looks younger or are smaller than others doesn't prove age. That's just ridiculous!

  • Oh please, scientist? I'm so dumb? hahahah Are you serious?! OMG, what scientist? They observed only from pictures and actually, how did you know they were 'trained scientist'.

Then again, you seem so gullible that you'd believed anything.

  • i agree. they actually hire a "doctor" to judge the gymnast from a picture/video. it's the same as when the audience look at her. that's why some people think she is younger and others think older.

  • It's funny when you say you're not superficial... and what 'government' quotes did you find. I bet they're from the internet...hahaha

    Do you even understand Chinese?

  • don't bother with that k0ck xucker.

    he said trained scientists.

he lists no names of any of the "scientists", with no proven credentials, and none of the "documents" that stated he kexin to be underaged. this mthr fkr has no proof, no evidence.

also, a persons physical appearance is subjective, and genetically, asians do not premature so fast

    his basis is irrational

  • Chinesese7en, thank you for clarifying that but believe it or not, some will actually judge you because of your username. In my case, I got judged because of my interests...

It's almost the same as people judging someone's age by their apperance. It just doesn't PROVE anything!

  • that mthr fkr didn't even get He Kexin's weight right. we can't take any of his words for fact.

  • their government already said that the journalists made mistakes. u cant believe everything u read in the newspapers. they were proven to be legit not only by their passports now, but along with other documents made by different ministries in China. China is such a big country, its not that hard to find people talented in gymnastics. y would they put themselves down when the world is focused on them? nothing embarassing about YTsockzAX, its just you and your misleading quotes/facts

  • Well they would say that now! They sort of have too, but I don't feel like debating with this old topic. It's over, right? I'm not saying they weren't good, because they all are. I just find it unfair people think being American is the only reason I have a problem with cheating, as if China doesn't kick our butts in gymastics. That's their field. They have more gold medals than any other country, because they're professionists. It's unfair Chinese Americans are quick to look the other way.

  • im not saying that if ur an american ur gonna have a problem with this, nor are u saying that chinese ppl are cheating. i guess its over, but some of this debate is still lingering. im not saying that ur wrong in your opinion in that they are too young either. just that the info u told us are kinda obselete. statistically, when the olympics is held at ur country, you get more medals than you normally get, except for the montreal olympics, we just sucked...

  • Yeah, the judges do play favorites (I think Ksenia Semenova deserved a bronze) based on popular names and what country you're in. I can't wait for it again in 2012.

  • i just cant wait for the 2010 Winter's olympics. thats gonna be in my home town xD and we're gonna frikin' pwn in hockey!! im not sure if the judges play favorites cuz they are all from different countries, but i heard that one of them was watching another competition instead of judging Nastia Liuken, which would suck to be her.

  • I love the ice skating. It's like ballet on skates. Where is it taking place?

  • no im not telling u cuz then u'd know the city i live in lol. jk its in Vancouver. this time, our hockey team better make it to the finals. we got shut down by the Russians last time cuz Todd Bertuzzi was being a dick. we're supposed to be the best, like China is in diving/gymnastics or USA in basketball/swimming. we must win! cuz this is the only thing that we can win in lol.

  • Yeah, everyone knows that Canadians dominate in hockey. That's definitely your territory. The Winter Olympics never seems to get as much attention as the Summer. I guess people are more into the adrenaline you get from track. I was into the Winter Olympics before I liked the Summer one though.

  • its not our territory any more lol. the Russians just killed us in the last olympics and in the world championship. people are more interested in summer olympics cuz they have more events. i think they have around 250 gold medals to hand out while winter's only have 86.

  • OH...well you learn something new everyday.

  • where did you hear it from that the judge is watching another competition. i thought they have playback for the judges to look at as i saw it on tv.

  • Ksenia's vault wasn't strong enough, for a medal, she is just as tiny as Yilin. She also has made a big name for herself.

  • She has? I didn't know. I'm happy for her.

  • Mehrunissah93:

Some Fully Grown Chinese girls at 66 pounds...

Asian physiology is different, and just cause you're surrounded by people eating Big Macs.

  • Actually I defended Usain Bolt when he was accused by some commenter of taking drugs by saying Jamaica doesn't have all the fast food, high cholestrol, heart attack at 12 issues America does. Can you post a link of adults weighing 66 pounds?

  • you should delete Mehrunissah93's anti-chinese comments.

  • The only gymnast that I don't buy as a 16 year old is linlin. She's looks smallest in the team (in terms of height and appearance). But no one accused Linlin of being underaged, is it because she did not win any medal?? @_@

    losers.

They deserved the medal. Jiang, Yang and kexin definitely looks older than linlin. And the three of them got accused and deng lin lin didnt ?

If linlin is of age, I dont see why the rest of the gymnasts arent.

and people claims I look 13 when i'm actually 15.

  • fieryace94, exactly!!! Linlin looks MUCH younger than He and I'm sure she's not being highly scrutinized or questioned for being underaged for the exact reason you gave....possibly because she didn't win a medal individually!!!

Deng Linlin, Jiang Yuyuan, and Yang Yilin are proven of age because of a documentary they were in that was recorded in 2002. As for He Kexin, she was later picked to learn the uneven bar routine after another gymnist was injured!

  • And oh please, online/internet documents or reports don't count since anyone can write anything online!

  • "Until proven...it's all talk!" - Dominque Dawes!

  • Okay, but you get the point. I thought the age was 15, but to be safe I said 16.

  • I can't speak Chinese, but people fake passports all the time (to cc213) and the possibility of her being 17 (I've seen millions of 17 year old Chinese people who look much older than her) doesn't mean every member of her team is. Haven't you heard of the Korean gymnast who was 16 for four years?

  • she looked 12 in the video, so i believe that she is 16/17 right now. it may not mean that every member of her team is of the minimum age, but it doesn't mean they are underaged either. people do fake passports, but not all the time. u may have seen millions of 17 year old chinese people who look much older than she does, but i've seen millions of 17 year old chinese people that look younger than she does

  • Well, I guess we'll never know, since the I.O.C. aren't allowed to fully investigate.

  • they are allowed to, but they chose not to waste so much time on this. they never really do anything about underaged athletes unless its very obvious, or if it can be confirmed with documents

  • On the news about the Olympics it said they couldn't because of the passports and how it's insulting to accuse them of lying.

  • they could dig deeper than the passports but its really time consuming, and they already saw the passports, the birth certificate and family residence.

  • Whatever the case, nothing can be down about it.

  • im part chinese and i am still skeptical about their ages, but becuz the IOC can't uncover any evidence, we can neither aknowledge or deny their claims.

  • There is some truth to that, but a forensic scientist said how you can tell from the shape of their face and irises that they are most likely under 16, but I think He Kexin is the main one underage.

  • i only suspect He Kexin, i think Jiang Yuyuan and the rest of the team is legit. forensics can tell your age from the shape of your face and iris, but different people age at different speed. and in china, i think there is a contact lense thingy that makes your iris look bigger which is a popular item in china. on top of that, i think that w/o the makeup, they look older than they do with makeup

  • Technically, another Chinese gymnist was training for the 2008 Beijing Olympics specifically for the uneven bars but got injured; therefore, the coaches chose He Kexin to learn the signature routine which was named after the injured gymnist.

Thankfully, He Kexin learned the routine and have received recognition for it. The only person I suspected at first was Deng Linlin (cuz she's so tiny) but she was training with Li & Jiang in this documentary, too. She's also 16 this year!

  • What? You can't possibly prove your argument because a scientist can determine how a person should look at 16 when in reality, there's no way you can tell someone by their age by only looking at them.

    I'm 22 and people still think I'm 16!

  • They've provided everything the IOC asked for to prove that the girls are infact of age. It's actually quite ridiculous that people would believe some internet report, yet, have no problem accusing the Chinese gov't for false passports/proofs.

People should just show better sportmanship and give respect towards these Chinese gymnastics team. If people care enough, they should also look at the Japanese gymnastics team who are about the same height and as young lookig as the Chinese team...

  • The only difference is that the Chinese gymnastic team managed the gold while the Japanese gymnastics didn't, respectively.

I'm sure some people would question the Japanese team's age, too, if they won gold. ;)

  • The Chinese are known for dominating gymastics. We have no problem losing if it's fair.:) I guess that is why some of us have a problem.

  • What the heck are you talking about? He Kexin is clearly underaged. You want to argue with a college trained professional? That's ridiculous and funny. You can look young w/o having young features, but you clearly can't tell the difference. The IOC isn't fully investigating it and I'm done w/ this, because the they did cheat but nothing can be done, as to not insult the Chinese.

  • He Kexin is clearly the correct age.

    And clearly a gold medalist.

  • LOL. That's all I can say. LOL.

  • He Kexin told President Hu Jintao that she was 16 before the games.

what does this mean to me?

it means i believe every word.

  • You believe whatever anyone tells you? That makes you gulliable. She has the features of a child and only weighs 66 lbs. No 16 year old weighs that little. Her parents would be locked up fo starvation.

  • you talk about facial features, i don't think an anti-chinese like you is jealous that China won. You are jealous that chinese team is prettier than the american team.

  • LOL. Now you're embarrassing yourself and sounding crazy. Yes, they are many pretty Asians, but that has nothing to do with this. I'm not jealous of anyone or anything. I'm against cheating period. If you condone cheating, because the cheaters are Chinese then you should be ashamed. I'm not anti-Chinese. You have nothing intelligent to say so you want to call me a racist, which I'm not. He Kexin has the face shape of a child, as well as the eyes and weight of a child. LOL. You have no brain.

  • you shouldn't base chinese appearance on an amerikan scale. since when did a persons physical appearance tell a persons age?

  • nobody cheated. why would you still complain?

  • Ukraine, Italy and Demark, just to name a few, were used illegal drugs to which you did not complain. But you singled out China. Is it because they got a medal?

  • I didn't even see a representative from the Ukraine this year or Denmark or Italy for the girls. I didn't hear anyone talk about them using drugs on the news, so how can I comment on something I haven't heard about? Don't try to play some victim card. The honest people who received 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are the victims.

  • That it the fault of your TV network.

  • You're not racist but you may be a little too superficial. There is no guideline of how a sixteen year old should look like and it's wrong to consider someones age by their apperance or features.

Heck, I'm 22 and people still mistake me for being 16!!

  • Superficial? Excuse me for believing a forensic scientist or having problems with a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD weighing 66 pounds or interview documents of reporters calling her 11 and saying she'd be great in 2012. You can get mistaken as a teen without having the baby round face of a minor or the weight. Do you honestly in your mind believe a normal sixteen can weigh 66 pounds? Seriously.

  • Interview documents?! WHAT?!? You must be kidding me! The only documents/reports people use as 'proof' against these gymnasts are from the internet. That alone isn't valid whatsoever!

  • No, in her country, before the Olympics interviewers repoerted her as young as 11. She said she felt the error to small to correct them. However, that wasn't the only interview in her country docummented in magazines, articles, etc. I don't feel like arguing, because you're clearly in denial regardless of the blunt truth.

  • WHAT?! Mehrunissah93, the USA reporters would get that interview and use it at their advantage already instead of some damn online reports! Where did you find that interview and actually, do you even speak Chinese to understand it?

    I think it's complete BS!!!

  • IS there a guideline of how a 16 year old's features should lok like?! At 16, I looked like I was 12 and at 22 now, people think I'm 21! You can't look at these girls superficially and guess on their age based on how long and how small they may look. That's ridiculous! Why question them?! Seriously, research past Asian gymnasts and even look up the Japanese gymnastic team. They are THE SAME as the Chinese, yet, noone questions them because they didn't manage the gold.

  • I'm 22 now and people think I'm 16!***** Oops, typo! hahah That's proof that the internet are bound to make errors!

  • People need to show better sportmanship and respect, the same they are showing the USA gymnastic team. Isn't that what the Olympics is all about? I truly feel sorry for the Chinese gymnists who is over-scrutinized because they 'look young' and that they aren't the same size as their competitors.

What's worst is that people question the Chinese gov't when their own (as other world gov't) are far from perfect. Aren't all passports provided by the gov't?! I just don't get that argument...

  • Fake passports? you speak if nonsense. Have you seen them?, are you a super spy? Your accusations have nothing to back them up. what about those newspaper articles saying their 14, couldn't they just as well be fake.

  • Have you seen Ksenia Semenova of Russia ? Who is also tiny and very, very light, and was 15 in Bejing.. He Kexin wasn't even on the original team, she was a substitute. You don't fake official documents in China, you don't fake your age on passports it is very dangerous.

  • aw so baby cute!

  • this video can proof that Jian Yuyuan is already over 16 year-old in 2008. Information given that this video took in 2003, and in the video, Jian ssid she was 12 year-old at that time, and after 5 years,, she is 17 year-old in 2008 beijing olympic. why so many people have to argue about that,, their passport already proof they are oven 16 year-old!!!!!!!

  • wow - angry little euro douche

  • where is this video taken from?

  • i see - and can you name one tall gymnast? - no? whats a matter ? don't you know this? i mean do they teach you anything over there?

can you name one heavy gymnast? no?

can you name one older gymnast? - say older than 17? no?

    dumbass

  • Sorry if I sound rude, but Cheng Fei is 20. O.o It is rare though to see older gymnasts. There's also that one 33 year old gymnast on the German team for the olympics.

  • Nastia Luikin

    Svetlana Khorkina

    Alicia Sacremone

    Jade Barbosa

    Sandra Isbaza

These are all tall gymnasts, 5'4 is tall for a gymnast.. Heaviness makes a gymnast more prone to injury.. There are few heavy sprinters, swimmers, tennis players either that have any success

  • You gotta be blind if you think she looks 8 in that picture.

  • no..... u just have to be smart. wow ur so tough ur name is 'ceptryn' ur 25 and ur fighting with an 12 year old. yet im winning and im smarter apparently she's obviously 8 so don't argue anymore

  • asians look younger than they actually are ^^ I'm 16 although people claims i'm 13 for a weird reason -_-;

asians are much smaller in size. Jiang yuyuan's now 17 and she's not small, she's taller than me. (:

  • @gymmingz

Yeah it's not exactly the greatest thing to look younger when you're a teenager. Look where it's landed China's women's team. Accusations flying in the air.

    I'm 20 and apparently I look 16 :(

We just have younger looking faces, it doesn't really have to do with height all the time.

  • @ruchieru

Could be worse, my voice sounded as if my balls haven't dropped.

  • she's like 8? you're like dumb. I am an american...but only Deng Linlin looks 14. Even He Kexin looks 15-16 - you can see by the face. the thing is, He Kexin is probably turning 15 on Jan 1 2009, which means, she too, is 14, exactly 366 days too young to compete.

Jiang Yuyuan is older. That's really not in question by the New York Times or China Daiily News Reports, only hear-say.

  • ?? r u agreeing? u sound like u are in the middle

  • Why did the chinese government train a girl that not reach the standard of the Olympics? Every girls start the training since they were still young, all of them start form zero. So, if they are under aged, why doesn't the government choose someone elder?

Many Chinese look younger then there real age. I am now 21 but peopel said that I look like 17!

You got the right to not believe us, but how can you doubt IOC?

  • my mom looks 15 but shes 42....... not amazing 4 year difference for u
