  • Yeah! The orange guy to the right is a fakking cheater. He doesnt move the clock with the same hand he is moving the pieces with.

    BAD!

  • aronian's good

  • I'd like to see them play "Relapse"2-player board game by Jeffery A. Krueger,Check it out!

  • Do you wait for you turn or does each game go at its own pace?

  • i used to play this all the time in college. I havent played since. not too many people know about this game, also its not easy to get 4 decent chess players together at the same time.

  • who are the players in the video? FICS handles or Ratings?

I agree w/skaksomer.. since bughouse uses the basic rules from blitz.. which also includes capturing/moving/& hitting the clock with the same hand. but in a friendly game anything could be done.

  • The guy in the front on the right is cheating all the time! It is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to press the clock with any other hand, than the one that was used to move the piece!!!!!

  • It's a bughouse. Remember, and it's also a friendly match.

In bughouse you can use both hands.

  • I do not at all see why it should be any more okay in bughouse than in other forms of chess!

And I also don't think it makes it any better, that it's a friendly match. Since using both hands really gives you quite a big advantage, it is not a very friendly thing to do! A person who does that against me is not my friend! Using both hands is definately cheating, and you don't cheat your friends!

  • If you see well, also the player on the left use both hands. You can use both hands if with one hand take out the piece and with the other you move your piece and push the clock. This is IMHO, I don't play bughouse since many time (sorry for my bad english)

  • Well, a chess move must be made with only one hand (including castling, mind!) I suppose you can debate whether moving a captured piece away from the board is part of the move itself or not. So maybe, just maybe it could be considered legal to do as you say - but I doubt it.

But anyway, that was not what I reacted against. The fellow on the right constantly moves the pieces with the right hand and presses the clock with the left hand, and that can never be right.

  • Dude, quit spamming this comment section. If it's legal to move both hands (in bughouse), why you keep saying against that ???

  • What on earth do you mean by "quit spamming"?? It is NOT legal to use both hands! End of story!

  • I agree with skak, Orange Shirt is probably not an experienced OTB player (only internet). You must hit the clock with the hand you move YOUR piece with.

  • I completely agree, it's very suprising to see top players playing with both hands, as it is indeed forbidden even in amateur tournaments ! FIDE rules 4.1 and 6.8 are very clear on that topic.

  • well this isnt a tournament.
