  • You had me going when I first saw MLK and John Lennon, arguably the closest thing we've ever seen to actual saints and heroes for all of humanity.

Please, remake this, and extract any and all mentions of that vile miscreant from New York who skillfully exploited the tragedy of 9/11 to line his own pockets and engender hatred and fear for political gain.

I won't even mention this disgusting person's name. But he sullies this entire video. Please remove the little creep. He's sickening.

  • Dare to imagine; Dare to Dream! I have a dream, that all of the protesters in the Occupy movements accross the country will each pull out one symbolic weed for expressing the global desire to root out greed, exploitation, and hatred. I have a dream that the President will has every child in the world to do the same thing....the ultimate act of peaceful spiritual guerilla gardening!!!!

  • Deeply inspired by the rhetoric of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I became inspired to come up a practical method for bridging the gap between the Dream and Imagine. It is called: Occupy the Dream: Weed Out Hate. The idea is very simple. In the same way you weed a garden to make room for sowing sunflower seeds, get children and adults to use this symbolism to pray to root out out their inner weeds. Freed from this negativity, you are free to sow the seeds of peace and love.

  • @weedouthate Beautiful idea. Thank you.

  • @ronbarba Truly, a gorgeous combination. Thank you.

  • It blows my mind that The Beatles and Martin Luther King were around at the same time. The 60s was such a checkpoint in history.

  • realkly wonderful,meaningful great video,thanks a lot 4 sharing !!!!! ***** !!!

  • One of the most beautiful videos I have seen on YouTube! "You may say I'm a Dreamer. But I'm not the Only One."

  • Thank You Sam. You are most kind. Even Got Barack in there before his election.

  • THats John Lennon

  • This made me emotional. Why must the good die? Great video, i'm passing it on 5/5

  • Great video, I hope to see more.

  • I did really like this video

  • Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty we're free at last !!!

  • This video made me think.

People are always criticizing Obama, saying all he does is talk and talk about hope, and change... well that's what these people do. They talk, and they inspire us all. They bring out the good in us. They make the world a better place through their speeches.

Anyway, thank you for the video.

  • but these people werent running for the most imporant job in the world (except giuliani, but he lost). no1 disagrees that obama wouldnt inspire the country, but we are not picking an american idol, we need someone who has the experience to make the right decisions whether they are easy or not,

    McCain/Rice 2008!

  • Do you actually like Imagine by JL or MLK? peace man, mccain wants to stay in Iraq for "100 years of it takes that long" Peace Eh?

  • McCain meant 100 years if thats what was needed to keep peace like in Korea. He didnt mean 100 years of war. McCain wants peace in Iraq and Afghanistan, Obama wants war in Pakistan.

  • What? Obama wants war in pakistan? I'd like references & quotes if you have any.

  • just type in "obama invading pakistan" on google. the first 4 responses make it clear.

  • Ron, this is so beautiful!!! will you marry me? :D you are so awesome! this combines one of my favorite songs (and songwriters) and one of my favorite people, in a wonderful and emotional way! You are so true...I think that is the key to your success and popularity on here...people respond to that...you are gonna make it big, and soon!

  • dgivy. Yes I will. I'm ready. I do love this piece as well. Very emotional and paying honor to one of my favorite all time people MLK Jr. Thanks so much dgivy, you are the cat's meow!

  • The best religion is the one where we take care of each other, don't judge, and believe in the power of our lives, not trampling each other for foolish endeavors... I live ten blocks from The King Center in Atlanta, just down the street from the Jimmy Carter Library & Center. We even have the Dali Lama as a visiting professor at Emory 1/2 mile from here. Amazing people here are doing amazing things to change the future of this planet. A neo-con would turn to stone in my neighborhood, & I <3 it

  • Sounds like a powerfully good place Zapata. Thanks.

  • This video is really touching. People need to watch this and realise what's going on in this world today. People need to stop worrying about what religion somebody is, what race somebody is, what sex somebody is, It's messed up how people judge one another. Sometimes i wish there wasn't a religion so this world would be much more peaceful.

  • That's right kentucky. Amen. May more people read what you said. Enlightenment.

  • thanks for this excellent montage. I am watching this on MLK's federal holiday.

  • watch my cover of imagine on my page

  • go to rprradio on the net

  • unbelievably good thank you for this! So untimely thanks again. I hope to be able to put things together with as much impact someday...

  • Thanks quatek. I thoroughly enjoyed making this piece. It holds real truth in my heart. Love, Ron

  • its about time that wat MLK n John Lennon sed n sung about came true, this world needs to b changed around b4 its 2 late. R.I.P MLK n John Lennon hu were both assassinated

  • I can only Imagine!

  • Nice mancade. It's great to share this video with others. Like minded for the way it can be here on earth. Peace and love.

  • yeah Ron, you can't kill peace and love bro, and we make it what it is and for others to see and follow the dream of MLK. Peace to you my brother...

  • thank you for making that. it gave me goose bumps. dont let anyone stop you. gandhi said there were many causes to die for, but none to kill for. spread the love my brothers and sisters

  • I love the US and all the people involved in the video. You have strong views. Good luck to you.

  • This video was very well put together, but I just wish you hadn't included Rudy Guliani. Many of those firefighters died due to the fact that they didn't have working radios to actively communicate with one another in our time of crisis.

  • I know, but it was more what he said than including his actual voice which was more important to me. I'm not making him out to be a peacemaker, but rather what he said about the fireman's state of mind I liked.

  • Don't Imagine. Enact!

  • Imagine - Then Act

  • Yes.

  • Koljastor, looks like YOU are the only REAL mismatch...out of 44 comments to this vid, all of them are positive...except yours...

Imagine all the people, living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.

I hope someday you'll join us, and the world can live as one. Peace and love to you koljastar..."religion" or "no religion too".

  • It's all about love. Not secularism or religion.

  • This is actually a mismatch. MLK was a Christian preacher promoting the American dream and John Lennon was an atheist who was trying to eliminate religion by writing this song. People are blinded by the sugar coating of this song and don't realize that this song promotes Communism and Atheism.

  • koljastar i ant you to prove what you just said. do you have any kind of proof for what you just said??

  • chills!

  • Hilllllssss of Alabama.

  • Great video. Excellent editing!

  • glad you liked.

  • Ron, for what it's worth, I have a lot of respect for you.

  • thanks 1. You're my number one. hehe.

  • Cowardice asks the question: 'Is it safe?'

Expediency asks the question: 'Is it politic?'

Vanity asks the question: 'Is it popular?'

And there comes a point when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular...

But one MUST take it, because

one's conscience tells one that 'it is right' Martin Luther King Jr.

  • Yes...it is beautiful...why did you do it?

  • I really got attached to MLK in college. I thought what he fought for and his speeches reflected a powerful struggle towards fairness and right and was so moved. Of course the Lennon song is classic and i liked the part where Lennon says, "i'm a dreamer" and Martin says "I still have a dream" Imagine the perfect world.

  • Ron, did you create this vid?

  • Yes the song and the video. I edited it all together. You like?

  • Thanks so much for this video as I was a fan of John Lennon and Martin was a man we won't see much of in a long time. Don't let those people get you down who speak ill of the dead, they are Republicans, what can you expect.

  • wow!!! what a powerful video thanks ron

  • Thanks CC

  • I can only hope that the day will come for us as the human race that we can all join hands and sing "thank God almighty, free at last" regardless of who we are. When will people realize that we are all HUMAN, not a color, religion, political party or bank account? I feel so discouraged for us sometimes, but I also "still have a dream". Keep on keepin' on, Ron Barba.

  • You too raeannt. That was a lovely statement you made.

  • that was so beautiful.

  • thank you socc. I felt the same way while making it. Great to be appreciated.

  • Listen to Lennon's Imagine while at the same time listening to OSHO's discourse "What is the Need of Nations?" OSHO is the true inspiration of the inner peace, fearlessness, sanity, and Bliss out of which John Lennon's music was born. Lennon stated publicly that he wanted to meet OSHO but was murdered before he got the chance to...

  • Wow cool. I will is it on You Tube?

  • Rudy guliani is not a good human being

  • god ron

  • love you john

  • what? don't bring up stupid rumors dude. it's not cool.

  • this is a wonderful video with MLK.

  • We need to take action to truly Imagine the Dream. Otherwise, we are letting the repressionists take over.

  • oh my god.

  • LIVE THE DREAM, NOT JUST IMAGINE IT it was beautiful very touching

  • democracy is the suggestion box for slaves,

  • U made me cry dude...priceless video.

  • awesome liv. I cry too when I see that one.

  • Ronbarba...you are amazing for doing this vid. Peace.

  • rockin vid montage!! Awesome 5!

  • this is the best.

  • Really well done. Martin and John both no longer here because of people with gun's.

  • Thanks Stuy. Yes, it's true. Violent America. That's how we settled here in the first place.

  • good point.

  • This is butifuly done it brought tears to my eyes.

  • Awesome. Glad you liked it.

  • I liked it how you used John Lennon's song from Double Fantasy very very good, not good excellent.

  • Thank you Red. Love your comments. All supportive. More videos to come. Peace my friend. Ron

  • Great stuff RB! You should receive a lifetime pass to the Apollo Theatre for this!

  • collin powell? Ha, I didn't know the secretary of state that thrusted us into Iraq, is one to be honored for peace and justice alongside Dr. MLK or Lenon.

  • Good point. I guess I was trying to show prominent black people today who have achieved success in America after Martin's life.

  • I'm glad you understood my point. MLK was an amazing man, someone I wish we still had today. What made him stand out was not the fact that he was a black man, but rather a humanitarian. An ambasador for peace. He fought for the poor of America, and he fought against Vietnam. Unfortunately for us, MLK, JFK, RFK, and Lenon were all assassinated. All great Americans who fought with the same goal in mind.

  • I know. I guess all the great people who seek the ultimate truth and try to guide us towards it are cut down by ignorance, fear and hatred. Thanks for the dialogue. Let freedom ring!

  • Your heart put that together lovely!

  • wow ronnie you really did it this time.. Some of your best work

  • Hey, Ron, thanks for that.

  • Wonderful.

  • A wonderful montage. Perfect.
