  • GUYS he's not "8 years old" he's just using an app to morph his voice. Probably to get more view or something, i don't know. But if you want to hear his real voice, go to he channel.

  • @SauccyyyRobot Are you serious? This was OVER THREE YEARS AGO! His voice changed! He was like 11 or 12 during this video.

  • @TheProgrammingsfun Yea i don't think anyone hits puberty that fast. 15 years old? Surely doesn't sound like that.

  • Question: right after you the class MainView, at 1:22 you add an "action" in the "Class Actions" section of the inspector window... but on my Xcode, I don't see that. Instead of "Class Actions" I see an "Accessibility" section with different options. How can I see that "Class Actions" section? I can't figure out how! Thanks to anyone that helps!

  • That sad moment when you realize a little kid knows how to do something I have been pulling my hair out over all day...

  • very good..

  • 4 year olds these days

  • can i start the app without jalebreak????

    pleas send me a pm.

  • OMG - you're moving about the screen waaaay too fast.

I'm having to constantly pause and rewind on your video and then slow motion it to try and even see what's flying across the screen. I'm sure this video is very useful to those that can keep up with the fast moving video.

It would be nice if you gave an instruction, showed it on screen and then paused even for 2 seconds.

  • Wow, kids can code better than me these days. When i am older, it will look like I am in the olden days. Must get myself a mac!

  • Good job man never better then staring at a young age.

  • your very good and have a look at my videos but what is the point of clicking and showing something i just dont get the point of this app

  • @JamesLewisGeek theres no point to 'Hello World', it is just a starting point to show beginners how programming works. i learned TONS from making a simple Hello world app

  • amazing ! brilliant stuff very clever!!

  • i dont have actions :(

  • i might sound stupid but what is a helloworld please reply

  • Usually, when you start developing on any platform, the first and usually easiest program you would make would be a program that simply displays "Hello World"

  • @techme1000 are u serious??? it is a script

  • dang man Good Job! I am not too familiar with XCode. I am barely learning Java and a little bit of C. I just made a compute change program in Java yesterday. I like this video though. I'm gonna have to rate 5 stars. Again. Good Job.

  • When i try to build and go, i get an error that says "error: expected a property attribute before '.' token" I have no idea what this means! Can someone please help me?

  • Hey whenever I open a new project i get this window that says Assistant and it shows a picture of a tuxedo. it doesnt look like ur starting window and i cant find windows application

  • you need to be a member of the ADC

  • can i download it? i dont have a mac :(

  • @thomasdfghj1 no xcode was build in to the mac os native apps are made from objective-c so you must have a mac to make native apps but you can still make some webapps but your options are limted :( sorry dude.

  • oh f*** :(

  • wow you're talented

  • Yes, I'm a noob and i tried it and it doesnt show the library thing to search "view"

  • GREAT JOB! Objective and clear explanation!

Just wondering... how old are you? How long do you code?

    Very nice...

  • I did this and i got 2 errors and 1 warning.,

    the errors are in mainview.m

    the errors are:

error: 'expected specifier-qualifier-list before '{' token

error: 'maintext' undeclared (first use in this function)

    and the warning is:

warning: cannot find interface declaration for 'mainview'

can someone please tell me where i went wrong?

  • wow. very clear. and in focus. nice. thx.

  • good job

  • Just wondering, can you development apps in windows? Cheers

  • @pkerlex

The SDK is only for Apple OS. I had to buy a mac =(

  • Ye thought so, oh well. Thanks

  • Surely you shouldn't ignore warnings?

  • How do I sync my sdk apps onto my iPhone

  • @choshi007 I have the same problem. I am using Unity to build Iphone apps, and I can preview the app just fine in my iphone using Xcode and Unity Remote. but How do I install the app. How do I get it to stay on the iphone.

  • A basement dwelling virgin nerds of tomorrow.

    Feels good man.

  • These little kids are so smart now a days.

  • @DiNatalli Bet his father pays him well cause his voice is old and broken ;)

  • @DiNatalli They aren't 'smart'. They're just curious enough to acquire knowledge that others don't bother about.

  • are you a boy or girl?

  • he's a boy ;) his voice is a little breaky but he's an awesome teacher :P

  • Haha, listen to my voice now since a year ago.

  • @JustinTW995 Ur funny...

  • @JustinTW995

  • HELP REQUIRED PLEASE! i type in :

    if(label.text==number.text) {

    correct.text = @"Correct!";

    }

but whenever i click build and go, then the button this action is linked to, it just sets label "label" to label "number" and sets label "correct" to Correct!. but if I enter this code:

    if(label.text=number.text) {

    correct.text = @"Correct!";

    }

, and press the button nothing happens, help please, oh and what i want is if you press button, it only sets correct to correct if label=number

  • so when i click build and go, i'm getting an error message saying:

error: request for member 'text' in something not a structure or union

Also i'm getting a warning message of:

property 'mainText' requires the method 'setMainText:' to be defined - use @synthesize, @dynamic or provide a method implementation.

    What does that mean?

  • i worked it out, in the outlet, make sure the type id UILabel not id

  • recorder?

  • is the iphone sdk for windows?

  • No, just mac, buy one

  • NOOOOO! Apple will never make it possible to run or use or develop any software on windows that apple have even so much as smelled! And if you say that's not fair, they will sue you damn ass bitch. They are planning to make a new planet constructed entirely of $1 notes! How will they do this if they don't grub as much money as they can for little to nothing in return, HOW!!!!

  • when i click at new project and i have to choose what os i want, i only have mac os and i dond have iphone os what shoud i do

  • install the iPhone SDK

  • Go to tools>library, and tools>inspector

  • You should be the voice for Tails in the Sonic the Hedgehog Series. You sound perfect.

  • your smart for a little kid :)

  • You don't have to use Gimp for the icon or this though, you can do all that in Preview.

  • cute voice ^_^

  • thx kid, but how can I upload my project to my iPhone ?

    help pls !

  • Im not sure but I think its just like adding music to your Iphone or Ipod.

  • you have to join the Apple iPhone developers program to distribute your app to any device. Costs $99 to get in

  • $99 per year

  • oh ok. didn't realize it was a yearly rate

  • It is a early rate?!?!?!?!

  • nice work kid, next time zoom out alittle

  • you go way to fast slow it down a little

  • Great video, you sound like a really smart kid haha

  • Comment removed

  • it dosen't work for the 3.0.

    it says:

error: cannot find interface declaration for 'UIView', superclass of 'MainView'

  • Thanks a LOT, this is the first tutorial that worked for me and I could understand. Subscribed instantly

  • Finally some one who is simple And doesn't go into detail much and teches you thruogh visual not HTML or c or c++ thank you and keep up the passion for it if that is your passion lol

  • umm idk what your looking at but aslong as its iphone sdk videos it should only be objective c which is much simpler than c++. html is web interface and c is mostly games aswell as c++. but yea dont watch xcode vids if their talking about html or c++ ONLY objective c cause thats whats used..

  • what are you trying to say? that you cant make c++ programs or html websites with xcode becoase its ment for objective C?

  • am i the only one who thinks this thing is difficult? :D

and i also think that i need to catch up a bit... does the app store have any limits? just cuz if ppl will continue makin their cool apps it will have more than like a lot :D

    good job btw! (y)

  • Thanks

  • wow u sound like a young kid, yet your super smart =DD good job!

  • fatal error: method definition not in @implementation context

    Can anyone help?...

    Thanx.. L.V.

  • tankyou

  • Yea that crazy ^^

    Good job dude !

  • I can't believe this is like the 4th tutorial im watching on YouTube and all of them are made by kids probably under age of 12 lol. What the hell is going on lol Oh yeah i learned HTML at that age but no way ObjectiveC. I guess you guys are stuck with basic stuff cause it's hell of stuff when you get serious about making an apps for iPod / iPhone ! :D

  • Yes, unless you use Hackint0sh :D

Look that up in Google. I doubt you'll do it though. I won't do that.

  • a hackint0sh computer is a computer running macintosh OS but wasnt running said os to begin with. like a sony vaio running mac os 10.4.11 is a hackint0sh. that wouldnt make it easier to make an app like super money ball. you still need loads of math and less GUI shit. more code. so yea...

  • @SimpleSDK there great ;D jks windows is better

  • I get

    error: syntax error before 'IBoutlet'

and error: syntax error before '(' token

    Help?

  • When i open my main window the finder doesnt open as well.

  • Hey, great video thanks!!! I don't know any coding except for very little HTML, i'm going to download the SKD very soon and i want to make a very basic game that is also fun to do, where would i start? I need to know the very basics!

    please reply, thanks! :)

  • have you downloaded it yet i'm downloading it right now, have you tried anything with it ?

  • do u get this in MainView.m ???? If you do I do 2... did he help u???

  • you are one skilled kid!

    keep it up

  • Great tutorial! Easy to follow along..

  • i just downloaded xcode today. So i am extremely new, how do you get the app on to your ipod.

  • i mean i phone

  • umm first you gotta buy a $99 apple license for development then u gotta make ur app... get a development distribution profile from apple development then make an app id and stuff and add the device to ur apple development account then u gotta download this thing from the xcode organizer onto ur iphone/itouch and then u can run them GL... by the way check out my video 2 part... its about setting up ur app to go on the apple store every step: step by step

  • Good work kid!

  • mine doesnt have the identity toolbar

  • on the interface builder toolbar click on tools and then click on inspector

  • Yay! It works for me the first time I try! And it's the first time I do anything with xCode, so thanks!

  • amazing, thanks for the tutorial.. Im a beginner and this really helps. Apple often thinks were all born with an Objective C chip build inside our heads and everything is so simple.

Thanks you, one question.. how can I push a tab bar button and have a text to show up afterward (like a dictionary) , Im looking forward to build a large database with four tab buttons below.. any codes or tips you can give me? Thanks

  • Comment removed

  • and thanks again, Subscribed!

  • Great tutorial man and thanks a bunch

I would recommend that you explain why you did this and that so we can go on building our own things.

  • I have to point this out; the Preview.app can also cross-convert picture formats - jpeg-png. Gimp is ugly and clunky - PLEASE don't suck people into the Linux world ;-) thanks for amazing video!

  • very good i understood that well with the help of the annotations but you dont need to open gimp to change the file name just save the image to desktop right click select info and change the name and/or extension

  • Please don't hand out incorrect info. By changing the extension, you are NOT changing the JPEG to PNG, as it is STILL a JPEG, only now it has PNG extension. You open in preview.app and SAVE AS PNG!

  • oo sorry lol i only thought that because i do that all the time with .txt and .doc from mac to pc :) my bad

  • wait sorry but your saying that when i submitted pictures to a website that would ONLY accept .png files, its not actualy a .png file when i got a .jpeg image, right click went to get info and typed .png. it isnt a .png file but the website took it in?

    please explain that

  • Yah, but when i used gimp I wasnt thinking. You could open it in Preview and save it as NAME.png or right click oon it and Get Info and change jpeg to png.

  • aye aye its just a small thing gd vid but if your using screenflow why do you use annotaitons? why not just make screenflow type the text u typed?

  • because i didnt know about a zoom feature so i used to hold down control and zoom in. but when i do that using screenflow, it doesnt get the text.

  • Wow, this is a good tutorial. I'll be using this later on. Nice work.

  • i dont seem to have the default.png when i go to attributes and choose image! What do i do?!

  • put it into the folder, add it into xcode

then click on your mainview and click back onto imageview and try it

  • I dont no where my library is. PLEASE help...

  • Go to Window > Library

  • Tools > library.

  • This is great It work!

  • When I create an iPhone Window based application I don't seem to have a NIB file? help.

  • NIB files are replaced with XIB files in newer SDK (XIB means they are XML version of NIB).

In short: Start using XIB exactly the same way you were using NIB files

  • Ok, I got the XCode 3.1.2. When I click File then New Project, I have options Mac OS, no iPhone OS! Help?

  • You need to go to the mac website and download the iPhone SDK (Version 2 for now).

  • My bad, it just didn't seem to show up in the same place as the tutorial, but showed up when clicking all the files under HelloWorld. Odd :(

  • Any one know where or how I could get a new version of XCode? I have v3.0 which obviously doesn't support the iPhone simulator. Help?

  • nice video, are you like 10?

  • 12.

  • u r awesome man

  • Hey can u help me make some more apps like other stuff and help me with scripts, im 13 so were kinda close in age and i just turned 13 and got my mac and im really intrested in makeing apps and it would help if u would sho me some links or something to get apps

  • mainText won't connect to Label when I connect it.

  • okayyy hey im following ur tutorial on basic codes and stuff and im making a simple utility app which requires alot of the commands ur using, so im following through and when i hit build and go it says "failed" and the following errors show up: "warning: duplicate interface decleration for class 'UIWindow'

    error:refifinition of 'struct UIWindow'

error:'mainText' undeclared (first use in this function)

  • CodeSign error: Code Signing Identity 'iPhone Developer' does not match any code-signing certificate in your keychain. Once added to the keychain, touch a file or clean the project to continue.

    What do I do?

  • see in the top left corner, switch Device to Simulator.

  • lolz im learning how to do this stuff from a little kid. Hes good.

  • This is brilliant ... Even for us Auzzies ... Thank you ... Simple ... Clear ... Worked first time ... X-man
